Love them

This is my third pair of Alegria shoes. I have one pair size 39 (9 US) (same style as these); size 41 (10 US) and these are size 40 (9.5 US). I would purchase a 1/2 size up of your normal size if you feet tend to swell throughout the day or if you have any type of arthritis that causes swelling. These are awesome shoes. I highly recommend them for anyone that needs great arch support and comfort, but don't want to wear sneakers. In fact, these have better support and more comfortable than the three pairs of athletic shoes that I own. Although one caveat, they do take some time to break in as these are pure leather lining and outside. But once that it done, I HIGHLY recommend. I have arthritis in both feet and they are a pleasure to wear.

Bless Zappos! I have been having trouble with my feet - trying to find a comfortable shoe!! Tried several styles by Alegria( first time) I usually wear a 40 in Birks, etc I have been wobbling between the 39 and the 40 in the Paloma- Finally decided on the 40. The 39 felt really good - but I noticed that my toe was touching the front of the shoe with each step- just needed a smidge more room. At first I thought the 40 was too big - but having been wearing them around the house and finally decided - this way I can wear socks and still not feel scrunched or go without. The closer is great ( love the adjustable part) and I love the Aura color!! It looks awesome with blacks or blues - very subtle but a great combination of colors ! Have already gotten compliments on my first day out and I can wear them without pain! ( since I have really flat feet - I took the advice of another reviewer and slipped a heel pad under the insole and voila! Happy camper! Thanks Zappos! Hope this helps someone.

Love Alegria Palomas - the most comfortable, most supportive, most durable - and cutest, most colorful shoes I have ever owned!! I am a plus size woman and these shoes make me happy to walk, and dance, and even skip down the street in second line parades (I'm in New Orleans :) . I have like 6 pairs of them, and buy another pair every 6 months or so... My only critique? Bring back the patent leather versions!! :)

It took some time to get used to the rocker motion but now I love them. It has good arch support but I could use some more. No problem because there is room in shoe to add inserts. I can show off my crazy pattern socks to add a kick to my outfit. I stand all day teaching on linoleum flooring and now my hips and back don’t ache when I get home. I also adore Algeria pattens that add texture and sparkle.

Beautiful, and fits perfectly. excellent arch support, roomy toe room. This is one pair that I'd like to wear every day, all day. The leather uppers are soft and pliable. Really, it feels like I'm walking on pillows.

I love Alegria shoes and the Paloma is my favorite style. I'm in my 70's this is the only style shoe I can ware. Have tried many other brands that did not work out. I wear them for work, play and dress. They come out of the box and on my feet and are worn all day with NO problem. Thank you Zappos for great service.

This style by Alegria is just perfect fitting for me. Comfortable beyond bliss. Be aware, however, that style can be size-dependent with Alegria shoes. This pair/style is eu size 39, while the Kerry Professional clog that I also love, is a size 38, and it is very comfortable. It could be that the strap on the Paloma allows for a looser fit, which, with the strap, does not slip off as the clog would.

I love these shoes and I did so want them to work for me. Unfortunately, I will have to return them because the strap is too high on my foot and rubs my ankle. I haven't been careful enough about this in the past, so I'm not going to try to talk myself into them.

These are my second pair because I wore the last pair for years & truly broke them in. I love the simple style and the chunky soles. I'm short so I appreciate some lift! Get a pair, you'll love them!

Very comfortable shoe. True to size and width. Usually wear size 9 and the 39 fit just fine. Only complaint is that the shoe is a bit "boxy" looking.

I purchased this shoe and the same in black leather. If you have problem feet, I've found this style to be a good choice. It's the only style I can wear all day without my custom orthotics and not have aching feet at the end of the day. If you have a narrow heel, it's a good fit. The adjustable strap is a plus. My only neutral comment - I have a toe joint issue and have found the printed material of this style not as soft and comforting as the black leather version, but overall it's still acceptable.

These shoes are so pretty. I love them. They are comfortable and true to size. I really like the colors and they go with lots of things.

The button accent is NOT black as the photo would indicate. It is silver in color and stands out rather than blending in. Returned the shoes for this reason.

I listened to the previous reviews of this shoe. Iusually wear I 35 in Dansko and this brand.A lot of the reviews said they ran small so I ordered a 36. I should’ve listened to my first instinct I’m returning this 36 for the 35, and PS...these are adorable!

Love the wide toe box! so comfortable and stylish

I have a short and wide foot. I usually look for 8.5 wide shoes, and sometimes even then they are too narrow. My philosophy as far as shoes are concerned has been if they fit, I'll buy them. The Alegrias fit just right. I wanted something that I could use while standing and teaching classes, and for generally walking. I need something with support as I have arthritis in my left leg and foot. I will definitely buy more of these in the future. I am waiting for our weather too cool off so that I can wear thing with some cute socks.

Cute shoes; I have them in brown and love these that are all black, including the stitching. Got a small blister in one area on the front but no problem after putting on a bandaid. Love the comfortable food bed. Can wear them with a skirt, no stockings, stockings, or leggings, or with pants or jeans. They are on a trip to Paris at the moment. Received them the day before the trip.

These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. I battle foot pain regularly and prefer shoes that are supportive, but have good heel cushion (I love my Crocs because of this), and these are great. Plus, they’re fashionable in that 90s Mary Jane way. They’re a little sweaty because they’re leather, but the insole is a bit sueded so it’s not terrible.

I tried these shoes on the recommendation of my orthotic specialist who hoped that the rocker bottom would be beneficial in removing pressure from a bunion. Unfortunately, to our surprise, my foot was unstable in the shoe and was rocking forward in a standing position, putting more pressure on the bunion. Well, I tried this shoe which helps many people, but for my narrow heel and wide, forefoot, the Naot Kirei may have to remain my main non-athletic shoe.

I have 4 pair now. I stand on concrete all day, every day. These help my back. I love them. Not great for walking long distances, but great for constant walking at a slow pace or standing. (Cosmetologist, teacher, nurse etc would love these)

I love these shoes. First I bought some Alegria sandals that I love. Then I purchased these shoes and they are nicer than the picture as well as very comfortable. I have wanted some Mary Janes and extremely happy with my purchase. I also love buying from the amazing service from Zappos!

I wear this pair of shoes for work- I'm a nurse. I do a lot of steps and these have been great! Only suggestion would be if the insoles had a little more cushion to them, just for coziness!

These are cute but the 9/9 1/2 was to small and I wear an 8 1/2. They are a little on the bulky side but still cute.
