I was extremely disappointed in these shoes that are marked "wide" and are definitely not wide. They seem extremely narrow and short. In fact I could not even get my foot in the shoe. I will reorder a size 38 wide as I usually wear a size 37 wide, and I will see if they work.

I thought these clogs were going to be so comfortable, but they were not. I ordered my usual size, and it was big. I would not recommend these.

I ordered up a size in these shoes because the first pair felt weird on the outside of my foot. Increasing them in size didn't help. The shoes still squeezed my feet horribly, especially on the outside. I changed the insoles, but it didn't help. Sadly, I'm sending them- and other Alegria styles- back, as it seems I can no longer wear the brand (I had the same problem with a mary jane style Alegria).
I think the insole system is ingenious and wish more shoe brands worked the way Alegria insoles do.

I personally didn’t like this shoe, it was too small especially with a sock. Maybe if I sized up it would fit prefer the ones with a back. I wear 8-8.5 and ordered just that (38) didn’t fit.

I usually wear a size 6 but the shoe was too small. Given the great reviews, I exchanged it for a 7. Unfortunately, I seem to be between the two sizes available. Too bad. Zappos support is fantastic!

I was so looking forward to these shoes based on the reviews I read but I am very disappointed. The Toe Box is not tall enough at all. The foot bed feels great but I can't get my feet in far enough. I do not have wide feet and usually wear a 9.5 or 10 / I purchased size 40 and they are barely long enough and much too tight. I am also not happy with the garrish coloration of the floral design. These are going back right away.

I tried to love the shoe. I could wear them for approximately 6 hours and after this time they were rubbing the tops of my toes....this was very uncomfortable. Being a nurse I had to wear them as I brought no other shoes with me. They will have to stay in my closet until I get ready to bring items to goodwill. Hopefully they can be useful to someone else. Advise - you should never have to break in a shoe. Wished I could return; however I have had them for a while.

These are like clown shoes on me! They are clunky and heavy and look enormous. Not intended for petite women.

These were cute and appeared really well-made, but I couldn't even get my foot into them....I ordered the wide (size 41 wide) but it didn't seem wide at all.

I have come here to review these shoes now that they've finally become unsafe to wear and I'm throwing them away today. I found the review below written by "Anonymous" on Nov. 23, 2014 and have reproduced it verbatim because I have the EXACT same issues and situation. I wear high narrow wedges with very narrow heels with no ankle twisting or lack of balance, yet these Allegrios are so unstable, I've hurt my ankles more than once. I also only wear them inside, and today they finally ripped on the outer edge where the sewing had already been coming undone for months. Nothing could be done for the ripping. The stencil pattern weakens the leather, but I wouldn't have expected the stitching to come undone along the border edge of the shoe. Don't waste your money! They are very comfortable and support the foot exceptionally well, but the flaws are egregious...and dangerous. Oh, and are these things noisy! My bare foot rubs around on the leather inner sole and makes a noise, but that's nothing compared to the squeak of the shoe. It's kind of weird the way the shoe makes noise, even when I'm wearing socks. Most reviews rate the shoes just after purchase. Yes, these are comfortable and offer good arch support, I've discovered two glaring flaws with the shoes now that I've been wearing them for about 5 months. First, the design of the shoe makes it very unstable. The insole of the shoe is slightly wider than the rubber sole; it's as if you're balancing on long blocks just a little narrower than the width of your foot. Check out the photos of the shoe carefully, and you'll see what I mean. I wear high narrow heels and have no issues with balance or ankle twisting, but with these shoes, I sometimes come down on the edge of the sole and it turns my ankle down toward the ground. Second thing: they are already falling apart. The stitching on the outside has become to come undone and will have to be taken to a cobbler to be repaired. In addition, the lovely flower-like stencil pattern of the shoe is beginning to tear, the leather unable to stand the creasing of the shoe as one walks. For the price, I expect a shoe to last several years. I only wear them in the house after work and on weekends. They never go outside, and the sole looks new, but the leather uptop is ripped in one place and stitching is coming out in two places on both shoes. The shoes look like real quality, but they aren't holding up. Perhaps the shoes that don't have the stencil pattern in them will hold up better, but still, the outsole is unsteady, making it seem as if I'm walking on blocks just a tad smaller than my foot. And the stitching coming undone is along the lower edge, which all the styles have, not just the stencil-pattern shoe. I'm going to see if I can return them. Totally not recommended.

Fits small and the color variation between each pair is way too much...feels like I'm wearing a mismatch shoes...one pair has a lot of pink shade in it and the other pair has a lot of green shade in it...not sure if this should look this way...

I purchased these shoes in January of this year, and they felt comfortable. However, after wearing them every day all day for a couple of months, the right shoe began to rub my little toe, even with socks on. Consequently, I had to stop wearing them. They are cute shoes, though.

First time purchasing this brand and I'm returning it. The leather is rough and I had hoped to wear without socks. The buckle area rubs my feet. The stiching is extremely poor for this price of a shoe. Not impressed.

I wear a 10.5 - 11 wide and ordered a 42 wide. The shoe is gorgeous but I could barely get my feet in because the toe box is not quite deep enough for my tall (high instep) feet. The wide width didn't seem particularly wide and the shoe is unusual in how the upper is attached to the sole; the upper separates slightly from the insole with each step. Narrower feet wouldn't feel this but wide feet get pinched. So back to Zappos they go and my quest continues for a cute clog for my wide, tall feet.

I bought these and the Houndstooth Paloma style at the same time and my first time buying this brand, so obviously I would only buy them from Zappos! I was SO excited when I saw this style because they looked so cute and promised the perfect blend of comfort and style. I mean, pony hair and patent leather? How could I NOT love them? As soon as I slipped my foot inside, I knew I had to return them: the flap at the very top is just too far out so that it sticks into your foot even when you just have them on, and flexing your foot when walking actually causes the leather flap to dig uncomfortably into the skin of your foot. I was SO sad!! I toyed with the idea of keeping them and hoping that the leather would soften enough with use to make it bearable, but in the end it seemed a bad idea. I really wish that this had been designed differently, or that this pattern were offered in a different style. From a style point of view, these are unbeatable and you don't even notice that they're more "clunky" because of the finish.

Very very cute shoe, but it just doesn't fit my foot. I typically wear 10W, and ordered a 41W in this shoe. My foot didn't fit all the way in and it felt like I could have gone with the 42W just so my heal wouldn't hang off the edge. The problem is, there was still room left in the toe area. I think if you have a regular width you'll be fine with these shoes, otherwise, order wider and longer.

The shoe was a great looking shoe. I ordered the shoes for my mom who is a diabetic, only the shoes were to tight across the top of her foot. I will have to send them back.

I so wanted the Classic style to work because I love the look. After buying one pair of these shoes, I ordered two others thinking my feet had died and gone to heaven. Unfortunately, I am a severe pronator. After a few days of wearing what I thought to be the miracle shoe, my ankles had quite a bit of pain. Looking in the mirror, it was clear what happened. My ankles were rolling inward with every step. Not only was the Classic not preventing the pronation, it made it worse. I had to return the other two Classics but still have the original pair. They are so well padded that it may be the height that creates the rolling ankle motion. This does not happen to me when wearing the Paloma. Functionally, the Paloma strap seems to make the difference. It was surprising to have this happen after reading all the wonderful comments from others.

The size was weird, I am a true 9, and it felt like they were both too small and too large and pinchy. They are by far the homeliest shoes I have ever put on my feet. I took them out of the box and stepped into them, and my husband just went 'ewww'. I had to agree, they were ugly, and not in a cute way, while also being somehow very uncomfortable. I returned them posthaste.

made my size 8.5 feet look ridiculously flat and wide. Dumbest shoes ever. They were giant ... too big all around ... but sizing down wouldn't help. The curved-up toes, the flat, wide toe box, the extra long footbed, the "collar" that sticks into your ankle and the lack of support all combine to make Alegria shoes a hard-pass for me. My husband walked into the room while I was trying these on and broke into hysterical laughter ... he said they would be just right for Wilma Flintstone. I also bought the Seville style and, while those were also hideous, they were slightly less obnixious and were far more comfortable (because the "collar" was rounded and lower ... didn't poke into the ankle.

This is truly the ugliest pair of shoes I have ever seen on my feet, or, even off my feet. They look even worse on the feet. They made my feet look clubbed or deformed . I guess cuteness is in the eyes of the beholder since other reviewers like this look. But, even if I had gotten a pair with the little whimsical designs, I can't see where the horrible shape and thick boxy klutziness of this shoe ,plus the weird pseudo Mary Jane design, would ever be in the slightest bit cute? They also threw my back off immediately after I stood up in them, shifting my posture backwards in the wrong position, and causing pelvic/back pain. This happened each of the three times I put them on in the house. To be fair, I have chronic back problems so it may just be idiosyncratic for my particular body. They are also not extremely light as the manufacturer suggests. This claim is a bit misleading . They are not as heavy as Danskos clogs (which are much cuter and more comfortable), but not super lightweight. Two good features are that you can adjust the buckles to some degree, although I would have had to add more holes. Also, there is some arch support. Since my pelvis/posture was thrown off and I was hurting in the shoes, the arch support didn't matter. These shoes were the worst shoe purchase I ever made on line. No way would I have purchased them if I saw them in a store . But, since Zappos is usually so great to deal with they will be shipped back immediately.
I'd also recommend:
Danskos. Some Crocs--such as Crocs Monterey Wedge (super comfortable , slim, and not thick/boxy).

I’m very disappointed. I ordered the Alegria Classic in Black embossed rose in a 39 wide, and I received a 39 regular instead. When I contacted customer service about the error, they just said that the size I needed was out of stock so they sent the wrong size as a replacement. That makes no sense! This is not the customer service that I’ve come to expect from Zappos. I was so excited to get my new shoes, and now there are none of the Classic available in my size. I’m going to have to look elsewhere.
