They were great while they lasted but during their second summer, the stitching started to unravel in a number of places. Most of my quality shoes last longer.

I would give the shoe a five star but it does have some hiccups. I had to order a size up. The front of shoe seems short. I have had and will continue to stretch the right shoe. I have a bunion. So, with the narrow front this is needed. I actually had to stretch the left one too. I did not want to go up a size again...as i will be wearing boats...but i am going to keep the shoe. I am a sucker for the cuteness of them. I do wish they would have used a nicer leather. this leather almost feels like vinyl. I have also put some good leather softener on it but i feel it will require a few more applications. I was going to order Birkenstock shoe as my feet need a good pair of shoes to stand in all day but i fell for this cute design. I think the company may want to offer wider sizes and choose a better leather. Other then this the shoe is unique!

I have Alegria sandals that I love, so decided to try the classic clog. They do not fit for folks with a steep instep. I couldn't get my foot into the shoe. Perhapse Alegria will make a deeper, boxier toebos for us folks who love the Alegria foot bed and rocker sole but can't fit into thier clogs.

Beautiful shoe!!! Just to tight, next size up would be to long.

Too short and too wide

I don't know if it is my foot or the shoe, but this shoe feels like the heel is lower than the toe. It feels like an earth brand shoe. Not the feel i was looking for. Toe area is wide and comfortable. I just did not like the feel of the lower heel. Returning them. Thanks Zappos for the free return shipping!

The classic shoe was very uncomfortable due to the stiffness of the strap. It is also not as deep as the clog, so your feet tend to be pushed up through the cutout. I had to send them back. I have the Alegria clogs and they are much more comfortable than this shoe.

I'd heard Alegria's were super comfy, and since the prints were fun, I ordered two pair, one in "Bubblish," a vibrant floral pattern, and "Techtonic," a iridescent geometric hologram-looking design with black and silver undertones. Unfortunately, they aren't the right shoes for me. The clunky-looking toe boxes are very wide, and my feet are narrow, so my toes would end up moving around too much and rubbing against the tops of the shoes, causing blisters. Also, the cutout areas make the upper very cute, but they come down too low ... When worn with pants/jeans, the lower portions of the cutout shows my bare foot underneath. In Texas, we rarely need to wear socks in winter. Even if I were to wear socks, the cutout places would shoe through to black socks underneath, which would still look a little weird. Finally, they weren't as comfy as I'd hoped. I read about the layered comfort system,but I just don't feel it, possibly because the shoes are too wide. Disappointed, but must send both pairs back.

Really clunky, hard to get used to. I'm sure lots of people loved this shoe but they were too boxy for me.

Cute shoe. I am ,however, keeping it only because I appreciate Zappos so much and have tried so many shoes. This shoe is not comfortable for a high instep but I am hoping I can stretch it a bit there and can wear it. I don't know though- I just tried it for 5 minutes on carpet and it hurts the inside of my instep. Not a defect in the shoe; just my foot. May have to return it but , for now, out of deference to Zappos which I love, I will keep it.

I found these shoes very uncomfortable. The part of the strap near the buckle hit (my foot) in an area where the foot creases when walking, and it pinched with each step. In addition, the wide toe box, looks HUGE, even on my regular width foot.

A beautifully made shoe. I have plantar fascitis, bunions, and achilles tendonitis in left foot. The shoe does not work for me, because of my problems, but it would work for most people. The right foot the shoe felt good.

Adorable! Comfortable! On trend! But the squeak is undeniable. Developed after our first rain. Annoying. But I still grab these first out of my closet.

Most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. But honestly, when I try to wear them with anything other than really long pants, my feet just look weird...and huge at size 7. Very shiny shoe.

Although Zappos is the best at customer service, I do not see me purchasing anymore Alegria shoes. This pair replaced my last pair that squeaked too much while walking. The problem was in the sole of the shoe, not the buckle. Well, I am having the same problem with this pair as well. The foot beds are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever found (I have nerve damage in my feet, so that says a lot), but the loud squeaking is not acceptable in shoes that are this price. There is plenty of room in the toes. I also get compliments on the funky look of the shoes, but they do not do much to make your foot look feminine.

I purchased these specifically for my orthotics and they do not fit. Beware if you have orthotics (mine from a Podiatrist)they do not fit because of a plastic lip that is in the heel (another one in the toe area) that keeps the Alegria locked in. My Podiatrist said I will have to dremel away that plastic lip to get my inserts in. What a pain! Maybe the soft orthotics will slip under this plastic ledge but if your orthotic has the hard heel they will not fit. I do not know if all Alegria have this locking lip. I do have to say I have worn them and they are very comfortable so I decided to keep them anyway but sure do wish I could have used them with my orthotics as the description says they will accept them. I would give them 5 stars for comfort but will only rate 3 stars as the description is inaccurate.

Very comfortable and I like the style but hated the embossed leather design. I was hoping it would not be too obvious because I like blue and love clogs.

I was really excited to get these because I have been having trouble with my feet. I stand 10+ hours a day at work and my arches start to hurt after a while. I wear Dansko clogs but they are a little hard so I was looking for a little more comfort. Unfortunately, these run a little narrow and I had to return them. I was actually surprised at how narrow they were since they are such a clunky wide looking shoe. Oh well, have to keep looking.

These shoes are just okay. I'm a nurse and I've tried the Danskos and they feel like I'm walking on bricks. I was hoping for so much more with these after reading the reviews. The footbed is not very soft or cushiony and the arch support is high and unforgiving. They are, however, more comfortable than the Danskos. It took about 2 full shifts before the leather was broken in.

I really wanted to love these shoes. After reading all the reviews - I purchased! I received my pretty shoes and loved the design and vibrance; however, upon trying them I felt they were not shoes you could slide on and go, I felt a break in period was required. I walked around the house and felt a pinch on my right pinky...humph. My husband didn't like the look - they are clunky chunky shoes and have some heaviness and back forth sway in their feel on the feet.

Actually it was the fleece lined ones I tried. Even after exchanging 39 for 40 (as noted elsewhere, 39 is NOT size 9-9.5), it was just too tight across bunion to little toe area. Too bad! I really wanted to keep them, but they were too uncomfortable.

The Alegria Classic in black vintage floral is really a lovely shoe. I had wanted to try Alegria for a while and was sure I would absolutely love them, but they are not as softly cushioned as I've grown accustomed to with Merrells and I'm afraid this would aggravate my heel spurs which I've worked hard to eradicate. I did like the wide toe box, and I found them to be true to size; I wear a size 9 and my heel sat perfectly. I gave the arch support an excellent rating because I think it would be if you needed it, but I found the arch uncomfortably high. I'm sorry to have to return them, but as always I appreciate the wide variety Zappos offers as well as the speedy and free shipping!

Beautiful shoe, unfortunately they were too small and have to return. The European size chart is somewhat misleading. I have a 7 1/2 size and ordered a Euro size 37 going by Zappos chart. Definitely too small. I always wear a medium width and the width of the shoe BARELY fit, felt narrow. So if you have a wide foot these probably would be too narrow. I will not reorder because I fear the next size might be too large and the arch support would not be in the correct place. Too bad that these rather expensive shoes do not come in regular half sizes and the fit is more or less a guessing game. Thanks to Zappo for offering free returns.

I'm a big time supinator. I think that's part of my problem that makes this shoe unstable for me. However, I am keeping them and continue to wear them because I wore them outside before I knew I'd have an issue. The first thing that happened to me was I twisted my ankle putting them on. When this happened, I thought it was just a quirky one-time thing. But then, the next time I wore them, I was exiting the bathroom at my work and somehow tripped in them and fell on my hands and knees! Luckily nobody saw me! I might sell them on eBay. I'm not sure. But I certainly don't feel stable in these shoes and I have to be constantly aware of that fact when I wear them so I don't twist or fall. The only thing I can think of that could cause it is the fact that I supinate and the type of sole the shoe has. If I didn't have this issue, I still wouldn't be all that crazy about the shoe. It's really not that fashionable. It is, however, comfortable and supportive.

These shoes are very comfortable, but am I the only one who things these shoes are ugly? Seriously. They make me look like I have duck feet. Do people REALLY like these.
