I love Alegria shoes. They seem to be the most comfortable shoes I can find for my rather flat feet and sore knees. These shoes were true to what I expect from Alegria - comfortable with good support. I didn't care for the styling of this pair though. They looked huge on my feet! In fairness, I do wear an 11, but these seemed to really accentuate that.

This is the 3rd pair of this style of Alegria shoes that I have now. The fit is slightly loose in the size 39's that I get, but I wear thick socks 3/4 of the year so it works well for me. I have a wide foot and find that with medium or thick socks the size 38 is too tight. I am a size 8XW. I have the Pesca sandals in a size 38 (either no socks or very thin ones) and that size works for those though I noticed that my toes sometimes rub on the top of the shoe. The insoles in all the Alegria shoes that I own are great for me. The arch support is perfect. As a comparison I bought a pair of Geisswein slippers and the arch is pretty high so after a couple of hours I have to switch to another slipper. I like the color of this latest pair, it's very cute in turquoise tooled. My only complaint is the leather of the shoe. Compared to my first and second pair, it is so thin. I was surprised, actually, since these shoes are expensive and I've always been happy with the workmanship. What happened? My other styles of Alegria don't have this really thin leather and I feel it makes this shoe feel cheap. I currently own 10 different pairs of Alegria shoes, but I am definitely thinking twice about getting any more because of this very thin leather issue. Has anyone else noticed this?

Very comfortable shoe for plantar fasciitis. I agree with all of the positive comments. Also so easy to get in and out of that they have become "house slippers," sort of. I just felt compelled to include one warning: Don't wear these shoes on uneven ground. Even walking around your yard. The sole is thick enough, and there is nothing around your heel to keep your foot in the shoe if you hit even a small low spot. I have "fallen off" these shoes (luckily catching myself and not breaking or spraining my ankle) the way you see women fall off high heels. They are nice and comfortable for the house or the office, but don't wear them on the ground or grass or you could end up with a broken or sprained ankle. And I'm not clumsy at all - I have a great sense of balance.

Cute shoes and fairly comfy out of the box. Unlike other reviewers, it's going to take a few wears to break these shoes in. I've noticed after one full day of wear that the leather by the arch of both shoes is curling in. Not sure yet whether this is going to be a problem and cause uncomfortable rubbing. Though I usually wear a size 10, these shoes ran just a little small. But, since they're an open-back mule, it's not a big problem. Really like the different colors/patterns available with the Alegria brand.

So these are really cute, but not for me, they seem just way to stiff on the top and also where the Mary Jane cut out is, I'm sure in time they would be less stiff, but I would rather have a shoe that's comfort from the start. Loved the color Tawny! Wish they would make a comfortable slip on or oxford shoe with comfort and support that the Seville has. I really don't want a colorful looking shoe, but that may just be my age, I prefer a color that goes well with Jeans, and capris and any color top I have on. The size and width seemed fine, it was my normal size 10 that I ordered. Chief complaint, just too stiff. Also noted a strange "shoe shop" like smell when I opened the box, not really sure what that was, I don't mind that smell as I remember the old local shoe stores had that same smell. This would be a shoe worth trying, Zappos can't be beat for letting you try a shoe style in your own home!

I really liked the shoes, the design in the leather looked great but the stitching along the top edge is a shiny metallic thread and it was too much razzmatazz for me.

I just received the Alegria Classic "Gracie", and will say up front that I have not worn them to work yet. I tried them on this morning with two different pair of socks, one thin and one thick to see what the difference was between them. The shoe fits quite snugly overall even with the thin sock on. I have a bunion on my left foot and the start of a tailor's bunion on my right foot. The shoe does fit slightly tight across both feet and there is not a lot of wiggle room at the toe box...I was hoping for more room there, BUT I discovered that I can remove and use another insole instead of the one that comes with the shoe, which should create a more roomy interior for my feet. Oh, I also have very high arches and a narrow heel, so buying shoes, especially for work, is quite a challenge for me. I got these in the 42 ( U S size 11), and I think they just fit the length of my foot. I am going to wear these around the house (inside only, of course!) to see if the upper stretches out a little bit, and look for a different insert to put inside the shoe. I think they are very attractive looks-wise, and really don't make my size 11 foot look like I am wearing clown shoes, which was a concern of mine before I received them. At age 52, and with my feet problems, I go more for comfort than style these days, anyways! :) I work for a Dentist and am on my feet all day 12 hours, usually, so I am hoping that these are the shoe for me!

These are such fun shoes. I was so excited to get them, but wow! These are a very wide shoe, so they had to be sent back, as my foot is narrow.

I wear regular-width shoes in every type & style. These felt narrow from top to bottom. The shoe would "eat" my sock when I tried to slide my foot in. I exchanged and bought the wide then tightened the buckle and they worked fine!

Nice foot bed and adjustable buckle accommodates a high arch/instep. I didn't realize the shoe would be so shiny/sparkly and the buckle looked gaudy. From the photos, I expected the shoes to have more of the blue or dark pink color, but one shoe was predominantly silver colored.

I love Alegria shoes, I'm a trailrunner and I've opted to quit wearing shoes with heals, so I've tried a couple of other brands for comfort and keep coming back to Alegria. I ordered the Alegria Classic in patent leather. OMG cute, cute, cute and the Comfort is out of this world, however, I have to return these because of the cut of the shoe near the instep in that It rubs my instep one one foot. I'm really disappointed in my feet because these are dang cute shoes and uber comfortable.

I have several pairs of Alegria shoes and lately this particular pair of classics has started squeaking so loudly that people comment on it. It is embarrassing and it doesn't matter whether it is wood or carpet or concrete it still squeaks. I can't wear them in public anymore; they were my favorite go to shoes last year.

These shoes are adorable, even though the style is chunky. I do find them to be nearly 100% slip proof, but if you have wide feet, particularly at the base of your metatarsals, then order wide. I usually can wear clogs without ordering wide, but these shoes are a bit more narrow at the base of your toes compared to other clogs that I've tried. The top material so far does not expand, and the overall size is exact. The make is high quality, and the look of these shoes in person does not disappoint. I will order more in the future.

I do a lot walking at work and I have screw in my left feet, and these are wonderful. Good support to my heel!

Ordered my usual size 9-9.5 or size 39. Really liked the color and pattern. Disappointed because they were just a tad too short. Donna of the Professional Collection, in size 39 was perfect!

This is my second pair of Alegria. I constantly get complemented on my "cute shoes." I think it's the graphics and the patterns that people are drawn to. I love the rocker motion of the forefoot. I can wear these all day long. My only complaint is that they feel about a 1/2 size short. I'd size up if I could but they don't come in 12.

Overall, the shoes are comfortable, exceptional arch support; however, I am and always have been a size 9 - 9.5. After reading some of the reviews, I tussled a bit on what size to order, a 39, or 40. Unsure, I ordered both. Upon receipt, the very next day -- thank you Zappos, I tried both pairs on and the 40 was a perfect fit. On the other hand, the 39 fit...but my foot was almost hanging off the back edge. Not all that noticeable, but it bothered me, so I am sending the 39 back. As for the appearance, my husband hates them because as others have pointed out they are big clunky shoes, but in my opinion the colors help to over shadow the clunkiness...I ordered the leopard hair, and they are adorable. On that note, my only grip, is that the sizing is off, but Zappos return/exchange policy eases the pain. All that said, if you are contemplating on whether to order these shoes, get them and in the color that catches your eye; but, and heed this advice, order a size up from your 'normal' size. So, if you are a '9', order size 40, not 39.

Love this shoe! I'm giving it a 4 because the sizing fit me differently than other Alegrias. I usually wear a 38 but will need a 39 in this style, especially if I want to wear socks. The shoe itself though is adorable, fun, and comfortable. Full of personality, but still neutral enough to go with tons of outfits.

This shoes are extremely comfortable. I have high arches and underpronate severally. I have a very difficult time finding work shoes (I am a health care professional) that provides the proper arch support and metatarsal cushioning needed. This one fulfill such needs.

These are really great looking, quality made shoes! I generally wear a 9.5 in a shoe, 9 in a boot. My feet are long but lean and usually a 10 is too roomy on the top of the foot; so I trusted the size 39= 9-9.5. The 39 shoe is too short for my foot, with socks on it feels too small and barefoot it feels "almost" right...but I ended up returning them and have ordered a size 40. I hope this helps someone else :) Anxiously awaiting the new size!

A beautiful shoe - should be for the price - but a touch narrow. I'm ordering the next size larger to compensate.

I really like these shoes. I read the reviews that said they run small but ordered my normal size anyway because one size up was on back order. The reviews are right. I'm sending them back and hoping the larger size is available soon.

This sassy shoe is just what I was looking for when my Danskos started feeling too much like bricks on my feet at the end of a 12 hour shift. These have good support with a nice cushiony feel. Keep in mind that patent leather often doesn't have the best breathability. Only reason I didn't give them overall 5 stars was the annoying squeak they developed hour 4 of wear. Good thing I work in a semi loud environment.
