I absolutely love these shoes! I think they're a cute clog and the foot bed is super comfortable. I say that they work best with thin socks or no socks. When I initially tried them on I had a slightly thicker sock on and I thought they didn't fit, but discovered it was only the sock. There seems to be a decent amount of room for the toes and as a person with foot and ankle problems, seem like they really cushion my feet.

I bought the BROWN EMBOSSED ROSE 16 months ago. At first these shoes were great. I've had 7 foot surgeries and they were Very comfortable and offered great support, but over time these shoes don't wear well for the price. I've had to replace the elastic at the buckle, they need new insoles, and now I just found that the sole of the right shoe has a 2 inch crack in it. The first 2 problems can be attributed to normal wear and tare. But the sole is the "straw that broke the camels back". I will not be buying this style of Alegria, if any, again. I have Danskos and Merrels that are 5 years old that STILL look better than this pair of Alegrias. For my money they're just not worth it.

PLEASE NOTE: The SIZE, WIDTH & SUPPORT entries above refer to the 38 REGULAR, not the WIDE. I recently had surgery on my right foot and I need a shoe with a wide toe box to accommodate the post-surgical swelling and the arthritis in that foot. The Alegria Classic is a perfect choice. It’s different looking — in a positive way --- and I receive compliments on it all the time. I ordered the 38 wide; however, even on my compromised right foot, the wide is (on some days only)a bit too roomy in the width and too long on both feet. Thus, I decided to try the 38 regular. With a bit of stretching of the right shoe, this size fits better on both feet --- except at times when my foot is particularly swollen. I’m actually considering keeping both pairs, since I definitely need the regular width for my left foot and on those days when my right foot is especially swollen, the wide width prevents it from extending beyond the back of the shoe. Alegria has great styling and it’s a wonderful brand for women with foot problems. I’d love to try the Paloma next but am concerned that the low cut toe box might cause discomfort given the location of the surgical scar on my foot. I’ll give it a try, hoping that the toe box extends beyond the incision area. Zappos has a great return policy and there is a UPS drop-off store 2 minutes from my house so I’m not dissuaded from trying great-looking new styles just because I might have to return them.

I bought this shoe on a recommendation from my massage therapist. I have been wearing Dankso shoes for years. I got the classic as well as the belle style Alegria shoes. I like the classic and the fit and comfort are both exceptional. I am returning the belle because my toes touch the tip of the shoe. The classic is true to size. I have long feet (42 Euro size) size 11. My right foot has a small bunion (totally genetic). My arches are not very high and I need the support because of a history of plantar fasciitis. I would highly recommend this shoe even if you are not in the medical field, but have to be on your feet a lot like I do. Take care of your feet.

I have a fairly narrow foot, and usually European-style shoes are too wide for me. But not these. They fit perfectly with socks, which I use in winter. I will wear this brand for the rest of my life if the quality stays as good as it appears to be right now! Thank you, Zappos, for carrying the brand, because out here in the sticks where I live, I would not have known about Alegria.

I will hate to return these shoes - they are so pretty...but. size 9.5 was too small & size 10 was too wide/big & the top of the clog cut into my ankle.

Great clog, love the feel and sizing. I am 8.5 so ordered 1/2 size up. I think wearing thick for winter they be perfect. Love love this brand. I broke my ankle so my ankle rolls in. Pronation. These have a good arch.

This is my third pair of Alegria shoes. I love them. I can walk all day in them without my feet protesting. I also have a habit of dragging my toes when I walk and therefore tripping myself! Because of the way the Alegria soles are designed to rock your feet as you walk, I don't drag my toes when I am wearing them. Also, I never wear them without getting a compliment on them. They are comfortable,safe for me to walk in, cute and just fun to wear.

I love theses shoes! They are super comfortable, and so versatile. I can wear them with skirts or pants, things both black and brown.

At first I thought it might be too loose to wear but as long as you tighten down on the buckle, it's a great pair of work shoes. Very supportive. I also like the toe end which is wide enough because I haven't stubbed my toes. I normally wear size 7.5-8 for regular shoes and I got Allegria in 38, which is just right. I wouldn't get the 37 which I fear it would be too small. I would definitely order another Allegria!

I love these shoes! I am glad that I read the reviews before I ordered because I ordered a half size up, and they fit perfectly. I stand a lot in my job, and these shoes are very comfortable. Actually, they get more comfortable as you wear them. This is my first pair of Alegria shoes, and I will most likely buy another pair because they are comfortable and a little funky. :-) Most shoes that are comfortable are boring!

I need comfortable shoes and usually wear Birkenstocks. I tried Dansko for something a little cuter for work, but I didn't love them. These are cute and super comfortable! I may get another pair in a different color so I can wear them with everything.

No breaking in period for these shoes. They are unbelievably comfortable. I've already purchased a second pair in a different color. The arch support is out of this world! The buckle allows an easy change between bare feet and socks. They look so cute with jeans. I've had them for around a month and have had no wear to the outside, which was a concern due to the pattern. These are the best shoes that I have found in years!!

I love these shoes. I wear them all day at work with my scrubs and with jeans on the weekends. The leather is soft and fits like a glove. The embossed design is beautiful and the craftsmanship it's excellent. Highly recommend.

I was on the waiting list for this shoe, in this pattern. They feel great! I have a high instep, and these shoes give my foot the best comfort. I absolutely adore this shoe.

Love Zappos...I ordered a different pair got them & they were too small. I called & talked to a rep that was very courteous & helpful! He sent me a different pair & I got them the next day! Sent the return label that night also so you could send the original pair back...very smooth & great experience!

Amazingly comfortable shoe, and CUTE TOO! I get compliments everywhere I go, and my feet feel great after 8 hours on my feet at work-5 days a week. The shoe does fit an orthodic, but you don't need to, as the insole provided molds to your feet and helps to align your legs and hips, not to mention supports the arch, ball of foot and heel! I bought a 2nd pair, and this is now the ONLY brand of shoe that I wear for work or home. These are casual enough for jeans or khaki's, but can very VERY easily be ready for casual dress or slightly dressy. I wish Alegria made more colors in the T-strap. and more patent leather colors. TRUE TO SIZE!!! I wear size 36 for a 6 1/2. the width on these had a broad toe-box allowing the toes to separate naturally but is not too wide(not for narrow feet). The T-strap holds foot in shoe better than the other styles (for me). I am thrilled with this shoe!

Alegria shoes are absolutely the best, bar none, if you're on your feet a lot. I got these for my daughter who is a nurse and she said she's never worn a more comfortable shoe. She was previously a devoted Swanx wearer but has switched allegiance to Alegria. There are several different styles and designs and they are all equally comfortable. She also suffers from plantar fasciitis and has no complaints since wearing these shoes. There are so many pretty patterns to choose from...she's a big believer in one of every color! She gets lots of compliments on these shoes also...and when a sick hospital patient notices how nice your shoes are, you can bet they really are pretty! Alegria also makes sandals and we both want to try those also!

Bought these for my mother for Mother's Day. She LOVES them! She is a nurse and loves these for the long days on her feet! Zappos representatives are so kind and understanding!

I'm a nurse and these are, hands down, the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned for standing long shifts. I tried Danskos early in my career, but Danskos are narrow and not well designed for those with very high arches. These are wider than most shoes although still, I would say, medium width, and perfect for those of us with high arches. The footbed is cushioned and supportive without being squishy- like a very tough memory foam. And the closed toe and wipeable surface is great for healthcare. The only downsides are- obviously, they're clunky-looking, but honestly I got a lot of compliments on them, I think for many people they fall under "so ugly they're cute". And of course, with a high sole and no back, they're not the most stable- I stepped off them a few times while walking, and once slipped running on my way to a code. Shortly thereafter our facility banned open-back clogs anyway, so I had to retire them. But I do miss the comfort, and a, considering buying one of the heeled styles. If you stand a lot at work, rarely or never have to run, and can get in to the chunky/funky styling, this is an incredible shoe.

I work 12 hour shifts and these shoes hold up the whole day. I was very happy with the way my feet and legs felt after running around for 12 hours. Best shoe I have found in years.

Very comfortable AND fun! I hadn't heard of Alegria shoes, but found them via recommendations of the brand from other folks who need/wear supportive, comfy shoes. So glad I did! I like these very much, but please note that because Zappos uses such good lighting to photograph them, they appear lighter in some photos. Alas, I'd prefer lighter. Rather than turquoise, I'd consider these more of a jade green or turquoise green, and they are accurately pictured in terms of color where there isn't a lot of light reflecting off of them. They are comfortable with or without socks, and the adjustable strap (a buckle, not velcro) makes it easy to modify the fit over the top of the foot.

I LOVE these shoes, but I usually wear 8.5-9 and I need a 39 (I got a 38). So they are going back and I intend to get another in the proper size for me.

I was reluctant to buy these shoes, because although I need supportive shoes, these aren't the most stylish I've ever seen. When they arrived in the usual Zappos speedy fashion, I tried them on. They are the most comfortable shoes I've worn in ages!! Wore them to work the next day. So comfortable, no break in needed. I am going to buy another pair soon!
