The Stride Rite soft motion Freddie is an absolute perfect first walker. The soft motion line is so soft and flexible and these look like the classic white baby shoes. I bought them twice for my 14 month old daughter and she loves them! The laces are a good length and stay tied, too. Plus, my daughter has a wide foot with a high instep and these are great because they come in wide width and the ankle style with laces work beautifully for the child with a high instep. These go with absolutely every outfit, too -- causual leggings, dresses, sweats, shorts and more! We have gotten a ton of compliments wearing these, too. They also come with an all leather, removable footbed that tells you when it is time to get sized again. Excellent product!

These were my sons first pair of shoes! They aren't the most stylish but their perfect for your little one to learn to walkin.

This shoe was my first shoe when I began walking as a child and I knew it was mandatory for both my girls. I started my youngest (11 months) off with this shoe at 9 months, within 2 weeks she was standing solid and walking with assistance. A month afterward she began walking. The support structure of this shoe helps with stability for the youngest child and hands down should be a staple for every mom. An added bonus is its cheaper on Zappos and I get it in 1 day as a Reward member (win*win) situation.

You can't go wrong with stride rite! These give you an update to the classic white first walkers, with soft flexible leather and a very flexible sole. The rounded toe cap gives crawlers and those pulling up the ease to do so, with a natural motion to roll off their toes. True to size and great for chubby feet! Couldn't be happier.

Love stride rite soft motion Freddie's! My 15 month old does too. They are comfortable, provide lots of flexibility and balance. They have ankle support because they come up higher on the ankle. My son has not fallen in the two days that he has been wearing them. He loves them and so do I. I was lucky enough to try these for free thanks to stride rite. I will always buy soft motion for my new walkers beCuse they are amazing, supportive, flexible and comfortable.

These shoes are perfect for my little 10 (almost 11) month old. They go with everything and fit well. He has a very chubby foot so of course ordering the wide was very helpful. I originally thought he would be a size for but it was too snug. So a size 5 was perfect! Of course Zappos is amazing with returns and/or exchanges. Thanks so much Zappos for making my shopping life much easier!

This shoe is great for crawlers and pre-walkers. I have been looking for a great shoe for that and I did! It's the cutest shoe ever. Love the rounded rubber front helps with easy cleaning especially with crawling. I will continues buying this shoe until I have to buy the next step! Love the quality if this shoe very well made!
