Wore the Newberry Pro until they fell apart after 10 years. Yes 10 years. Wanted those again, however my size was discontinued. Got the Newberry ESD which is very comfortable. I'm on my feet at least eight hours a day and no pain from standing or walking. Was hesitant about the alloy toe, but haven't had any problems. Highly recommend.

I have the brown pair & I've worn these shoes for about 3yrs!...they've not worn out at all!..the leather is easy to clean, and they are so comfortable..I can't believe how comfortable they are to be steel-toed ..I work 12hr shifts sometimes, and I have NO complaints about these shoes, I hope to be able to order another pair!..If your looking for comfort and durability ANY shoe from Timberland will do!

I've been in Newbury Pro's for 10 years strong. I purchased 3 pairs when finding out these were off the shelf and im now savoringthe last of my GREAT SHOES.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring them back. My feet are EXTREMELY comfortable in these, wide enough for my feet. So much breathing space for my toes. 5 stars all the way!!! I NEED a new pair in black thank you!!

I have been wearing these for 3 weeks now. Extremely comfortable. I have fibromyalgia and have a lot problems with my feet. I have been wearing steel toed shoes for 30 years and have only found 3 pair of shoes that were comfortable for me and this is one of them. I where a wide size 8 and I am extremely happy.

This makes te second time I have bought these shoes. I have a bad back and I have to have a good sole or my back will hurt so bad I can barely walk . The anti-farigue sole is by far the best sole I have ever had in a shoe. I also like the toe box . It like that the shoe is angled in this area meaning it's a little longer at the big toe and tapers down. I also love that the toe box is wide and doesn't get narrow. I suffer from a bunion on one foot and all shoes that end with a narrow point, of any sort ,crowds that area and pushes my toes in towards each other and flairs up my bunion. These shoes are great for that alone. I can wear them all day and they don't rub or irritate my bunion. I love these shoes so much that I'm afraid I'm gonna be known for wearing the same shoe for the rest of my life because I can't find one remotely comparable to this shoe. I feel like I will be a life long customer of the Timberland Renova!

This is my second pair. I have absolutely nothing to criticize! I stand all day long. I have to use orthotics. The shoes are roomy enough for the orthotics and there's no squeezing the foot in. They're light weight enough to not add that to the stress of a full day of standing/walking. They look good too. I actually bought the second pair in anticipation of moving back to NYC, which EATS shoes! My first pair is over a year old and shows no wear at all. But I bought the second pair just in case Timberland changes the design.

Love these shoes. Totally worth the price. The shoes are true to the size I wear (6.5) and the the composite toe is light and comfortable than most other shoes I own. I will definitely buy this shoe again, wish they made them in brown.

I am in Management in a heavy industrial environment. While I don't log as many miles as the folks in production or on the shop floor, I have to navigate all kinds of terrain to communicate with employees each day. This week I navigated ice, puddles, wet concrete, and rocky pathways (smaller sized rocks and stones) and these shoes take me everywhere that I want to go. I have not slipped once on these soles. These replaced a similar pair of Timberland slip on shoes which I loved with every fiber of my being, but they were showing their wear on the outside edges after about 5 years of daily wear. I was so sad when I could not find exactly the same design so I decided to try this design. I put these on my feet and I swear every muscle in my body said a collective AHHHHHHHH........I didn't realize that the inside of my other shoes were worn out (I will still wear my old shoes to work in my garden - I cannot throw them away-beloved shoes), but these fit my feet (which are pretty small size 6.5 so I can wear some nice heavy socks) like the proverbial glove. From Day 1, I was able to wear them all day with no hurting, rubbing or aching. They look great with most attire - jeans, khakis, even dress pants! There is plenty of room in the toe box and I do not find them to be too stiff even though they shield my toes from danger.

I am still wearing my first pair daily, one year later, and could probably go another 6 months. I work on my feet all day and all night, from professional garden to professional kitchen, and these shoes take me everywhere. I have run the gauntlet of kitchen shoes and these are my #1 choice. They stay on your feet when you want them to and come off when you want them to. No back pain, no leg soreness, no foot fatigue. Full recommendation.

I am a gallery attendant in a museum and stand all day long. I also wear orthotics in my shoes. I chose these shoes because I already had Timberland hiking boots and they had become virtually the only shoes I was comfortable in. Can't wear scuffed brown hiking boots to this job, though! These shoes really keep me comfortable all day. The Wide width allows my orthotics to fit so I get more arch support. These are not heavy shoes, but not ultra light either. I appreciate the shank inside that provides some stiffness and protects an arthritic toe. The toe box doesn't crowd in because of the toe protector. Couldn't ask for a better shoe. I feared that being a slip-on it would be loose. Not at all. I did remove the fancy insoles they came with, to accommodate my orthotics, but also slipped in a thinner insole for the cushioning. Just a great shoe.

I Purchased a pair of the Timberland Pro last year and loved them. There wasn't a breaking in period, they fit great right out of the box. I worked 35+ hours a week on my feet all day in a cafe setting and had minimal back and leg pain. I am constantly bumping into things and the steel toe feature really saved me. They lasted a solid year before the anti-fatigue insoles started wearing out and the steel toe became exposed, so I bought a new pair which as always Zappos delivered quickly. But I believe since I am really short and constantly on tip toe to reach for things the steel toe was causing range of motion issues that created horrible pain in the balls of my feet. I have joint problems so I believe my experience is unique to my situation. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who has to be on their feet all day. As always Zappos graciously and easily allowed my return.

I work as a surgical circulator so i am on my feet all day doing various job related tasks. I love that the soles don't make any type of sound when you walk, do not become slick and that they are super comfortable and supportive. Going to buy another pr so i can switch off every other day. Great product!
