I am a loyal Dansko customer, and in addition to numerous pairs of clogs and sandals, I also own the Dansko Nevada boots in brown. They are, by far,the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. I decided it was time for a Dansko boot in black, and ordered the Brinkley boot. Unfortunately, despite that they are extremely attractive, I was bitterly disappointed after trying them on. The boot is more narrow in the arch than other Dansko styles, which makes them very uncomfortable. I only had them on for a few moments, and felt instant relief as soon as I removed them. I will try another style Dankso boot, and hope for comfort that is more true to the Dansko reputation.

I love these boots! Not only are they good looking they are comfy! I'm thinking of buying another pair. I love Dansko! I spent all day walking and standing being a retail store manager, Dansko is how I can do it with a smile.

I really love these boots! I can easily wear these a good 6-7 hours on my feet running around at work. They are very comfy. The leather is soft and supple. The calf size is very generous. Heel height is perfect for someone who likes a bit of lift. My only complaint about Dansko is they don't have 1/2 sizes. I wear an 8 but always have to order a 39. They run a bit large for me but with thick socks or insoles I can work it.

Zappos provided excellent, fast delivery. The boots are true to size (European), the leather is beautiful. They are very classy.

I needed a good pair of walking boots for a trip to Paris. I took one other pair of shoes that killed by the end of the day and ended up wearing these boots every day with absolutely no discomfort of any kind. They are stylish, looked great with my black jeans, and skirts. They are butter soft leather and I positively adore them. We walked miles everyday sight-seeing and I couldn't believe how comfortable they were. I have very high arches, so am thrilled whenever I have a shoe that supports them. I have skinny calves, and they fit perfectly. I have room to tuck pants in, but they don't gap with skirts. Perfect!

Really easy on the feet, and fun to wear with skinny jeans. Not clunky at all, and good support especially if you have high arches. Comfy and love the style.

The boots are of great quality. The arch support in the boot takes a bit of getting used to. It needs to mold to the shape of your foot. Once you wear it a few times it is very comfortable and supports the foot very well. The heel doesn't feel high at all. Overall very comfortable and stylish too!

The Dansko Brinkley is extremely comfortable and always receives compliments. It's a fairly dressy looking boot, which is exactly what I needed. It is true to size and width and makes those larger calves look slimmer. I hope they don't discontinue this boot, which I'm afraid might be happening. I would love it if it were offered in a brown next year, as it is so comfortable that I would love to have it in several colors. I also own the Dansko Rylan, which is so painful to wear that I only wear it to get my money's worth. I should have sent them back, but didn't realize just how uncomfortable they really were until I wore them outside for a day and heard my feet crying. They haven't improved with time. Stiff, hard soles, and impossible to smooth jeans into the 3/4 zipper. I've resorted to wearing them only under jeans, which defeats the purpose of showing off a nice looking boot. Why the zipper wasn't made full length is beyond me. Brinkley any day over the Rylan! I really can't understand why the Rylan gets any good reviews. But I realize everyone's feet are different. Just be forewarned that the Rylan isn't like any Dansko you've ever worn and loved. You just might hear your feet sob for the first time if you're a Dansko lover.

Super cute boots. Look nice with skirts, leggings, jeans. Wasn't sure if they would be dressy enough, but they are great. Ordered 12 different pairs of boots, and this pair was the most comfortable and stylish as well! I have high arches and the arch support is great! Totally worth the money.

I am so excited my black Dansko Brinkley boots arrived today less than 36 hours after I ordered them! Zappos has the most excellent customer service, and the boots are perfect. I read the reviews and watched the video over and over before deciding in them, and I made an excellent choice. Kudos to Zappos for having those videos to demonstrate the shoes. I have 4 other pairs of Dansko shoes, all 37 so I ordered 37 and they fit perfectly. In USA sizes I wear a 6.5-7 but more commonly the 6.5. The leather is very high quality and they look even better than portrayed on line. I will not sacrifice comfort for fashion, but I also won't sacrifice fashion for comfort. I absolutely have to have good arch support, and the arch is nice and high. The heel height is very stylish yet very comfortable. They fit great with skinny jeans, but I never have trouble with calves being too tight. Probably the best thing I can say is that these boots have all the comfort and quality typical of Dansko, but are far more stylish than you would expect from Dansko.

I have been on a search for boots all winter with no luck, as my feet are very wide, and I have a high instep, and wide calf. These boots fit! I bought a size bigger than my normal 39. The right foot is looser than the left, but the right shaft is smaller (or my right leg is larger) than the left. (That's the thing about Dansko's, they are all hand made, and if the left one is too small, try the left from a few other pairs till you find the two that are perfect). But they are already stretching out after just a couple hours of wear. I even have wool socks on with them. With my wider calves, I can't wear these over jeans, but perhaps a pair of leggings. The leather is super soft, the toe box is very roomy. I just can't say enough good about these - in fact I ordered the matching style (Brielle) in brown immediately!

I absolutely love these boots. I bought them because I wanted a boot to dress up or down, and that would fit under bootcut jeans but also skinny jeans and leggings. I also wanted something stylish and comfortable (I have a 1.5 and 3.5 year old, so anything over 3 inches is out!). These boots have not disappointed me one bit, I have worn them all day running around with the kids and my feet felt great, these are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned, and the first time I have purchased a Dansko product.

I love these boots. They are so comfortable that I could run in them! And I get tons of compliments. They do not look like a comfort shoe.

These are super comfortable! I was looking for a pair of boots that can be casual dressy or dressed down and these are great. I was a little concerned the heel would be too high for casual use, but it is perfect, sort of what you would expect from a clog. The boot shaft is loose enough to wear with jeans tucked in or with a pair of tights. Mostly, I love the way the boot feels on my foot. I am really looking forward to wearing these this fall. If you have never ordered a Dansko shoe, be aware they usually run a half to a whole size small. I wear an 11, but I always order Euro size 42.

So soft, so comfy, so beautiful. It fits almost perfect except the shoe is a little narrow which made my feet less happy. Arch is at wrong place. I can't imagine wearing it to walk around other than in the house. I so want to keep it, but it may have to go back.

Dansko really helps my feet because of the arch support (I have very high arches). Love the boots. I will say that the boots are a tad tighter than I would like because I do have large calves but they certainly are the best boots I have ever had.

I too found the arch in these boots to be narrow an almost odd feel like. I thought they might be defective but both left and right were the same.

Amazing boots, I have them on now! Perfect with skinny jeans, jeggings or skirts. So versatile, I would buy in any color.

These boots were comfy to me right out of the box in terms of arch support, etc. They are a bit more narrow across the toe area vs. the Dansko clogs, but still very very comfy compared to all the other boots I have worn. I did read a few reports that these were wide enough on top to tuck in jeans. While this may be true if you are a small girl, I found the circumference listed for this boot to be 100 percent accurate so if your calf measures wider, you will need to force the zipper up. Having said that, I forced mine up and I can already tell the top has stretched some, so I anticipate that in a few days these will be a nice comfy fit all the way up. On a more cosmetic level, the leather is really nice looking. The bottom is kind of smooth plastic ... I would not sport these outside in the snow or wet without some leather treatment spray, and the bottom would not be grippy on ice, but they will make fine indoor boots for wearing with skirts or dress pants around the office. I will still wear the old faithful Croc boots to walk to and from in the bad weather, would not want to ruin these!

These boots were as comfortable as the other reviewers said! My third pair of Danskos, but my first pair of boots from them. Stylish, and still felt good after walking around in them all day at work.

These boots are awesome! They are super comfortable and cute to wear with dresses or pants! They are a fantastic addition to any wardrobe!

I have 5 pairs of Dansko shoes/sandals and was so excited about finally getting a pair of boots by them because they are such a comfortable brand. I tried them on and the fit in the foot felt almost perfect and then I went to zip them up and they were too small for my calves even though I checked the circumference measurement on the web page before ordering to make sure they would fit. I was so disappointed to have to send them back. I wish Zappos had a choice column on the left (with size, color, heel options, etc.) to let a person choose a wide shaft, narrow shaft, etc.

I feel sad that I have to return these. I loved the look and feel, but the leg was too tight to zip closed much less place over jeans or leggings.

The most comfortable boots I've ever worn... for 2-3 hours and my feet were glad to be off the boots but no pain whatsoever. If only I got it with the discounted price.
