I got the tan/greenland. This is a lot of look for the money. Got them this morning. Wore them today. Got them because they are similar to a pair I had years ago that I bought at Barney's which cost over $500. Lot of look for the money. Let's see how they wear. May update later. Go for it.

These are awesome boots that are extremely comfortable and very stylish. The only complaint I have is that stupid heel flap detail. it doesn't add anything to the look. Fortunately it's sewn and with the aid of a seam ripper I was able to remove it for a more streamlined look.

This is a follow-up review. Since my first review I bought the black pair also. These boots are very unique. I have received numerous positive comments on them. I like them very much. It is rare to get more for your money than one has paid. This is one instance.

These are great boots. I'm quite happy and comfortable. They run a size to a half size large, FYI! Easy on and off, especially for a boot. Get 'em.

These are awesome boots in an amazing style and quality for the price. The only construction issue I have had is a few of the small rivets have fallen off, however they are just for show so it does not make much of a difference. It took me a while to even notice. They are comfortable, true to size, and an awesome style. I get compliments on these all the time.

I recently purchased a pair of the Bedstu system boot from Zappos. When they arrived I noticed one of the lace hooks was missing. I called Zappos customer service and they shipped another pair of boots and I received them the very next day and paid the return shipping on the defective pair. It is great to deal with a company that puts the customer first. I now have a great pair of boots, very comfortable and a great look.

I love these shoes! They felt broken-in right of the box. Very comfortable and true to size. I liked the fit so much that I bought them in both colors.

These boots are really good looking and the style is hard to find. They're hip and rugged at the same time. I had to go down half a size so they run a little big. The construction is not up to par with boots like Frye but they are also half the price, so no complaining there. I liked them so much I ordered both colors. Everyone who's seen them has commented on them.

I think these shoes are a work of art. I love the unusual. The best part is the ease of operation (zipper). Fun to wear and comfortable.

I started wearing these boots in October of last year. Within about three months (of normal wear) the soles showed considerable wear (less than 1/16" depth in the grooves in the rubber sole). These are not my everyday shoes. I will usually wear them for two or three days in a row and then they sit in my closet for two or three weeks. In addition, I just noticed the stitching (at the heel) that connects the fabric to the sole has come apart. I like the way these boots feel on my feet but the durability is poor. I would take another pair of these (for free) if the manufacturer would offer them up.

I own a pair of these (purchased elsewhere), the fabric along the back of the heel where it meets the sole of the shoe is already ripping out, so I'm here looking for a different brand of boot. I've only had these boots for 4 months. They get what I would consider normal wear.

They look great and are comfortable right out of the box. I thought there would be a break-in period but there wasn't. I wore them for ten hours the first day and my feet were happy. They are a great boot.

These boots are some of the most stylish, comfortable and disappointing that I have owned. I wore these to the office daily for a few weeks and have never been more excited about a pair of boots. With all this excitement, I tossed the box and even considered buying a second pair due to how incredible they were overall. By the third month I had these shoes, the canvas heel of the shoe started to pull apart on one shoe and by the fourth month, the canvas heel at the rear of both boots had completely torn apart, making the boots un-wearable (I have pictures available if Zappos or Bedstu wants them). In terms of design, comfort, style - amazing, but durability was incredibly disappointing and now I'm left with an incredibly stylish pair of dust collectors in the darkest corner of my closet. Now they can't be returned and I have no alternatives to get these repaired - very disappointed.

I got these boots a few months ago and I like them a lot. I read reviews that said this style runs large, so I ordered a half size smaller, but they were too small. I had to send them back and get my normal size. (At no extra charge, btw. Thanks, Zappos!) I got the black style, not the tan/greenland, but the color doesn't match the photo. The leather is more brown than tan, and the cloth parts are tan, not black like in the photo. I still like them, though. They have an aged look which looks authentic, not cheap and fake. Also, a lot of reviews say that the heel separates from the sole of the shoe quickly. On both of the pairs I got, under the flap on the back there was a leather heel piece that isn't there in the photo. I assume they added it to the design in response to the complaints that they've received. I've read reviews complaining about the quality of the craftsmanship, but mine haven't shown any sign of wear. This could be because I'm wary, though, and treat them carefully when I put them on and take them off, so take that into account. Overall, I'm very happy. I'd recommend these boots to anyone, especially if you catch them on sale.

These are are really nice. A couple things to consider when buying. They are darker than the picture shows. More dirty brown than tan. They run a size large as many others have stated. These are my first zip boots and I love them. I can wear these like slip-ons when the zipper is down. I got a half size smaller than normal and I could go another half, but oh well still good. They are VERY comfortable and look great. Take care.

These shoes looked as cool in person as they did online. They were super comfortable right away and totally worked with my gritty wardrobe. They have the look and feel of being homemade, yet feel like they're going to last for many years.

These are very nice boots. I have both the black and brown. I have read some negative reviews about the quality but I disagree. Not that a lemon isn't possible that is. I wear mine several times per week and can find no issues. I don't know if I would go mountain climbing in them but I'm not sure that's what they are made for anyway.

These boots are absolutely great. I was a little suspicious of the zipper going in, but this is just an all around great boot. Can't recommend them enough.

I love these boots. Very comfortable, easy to put on with the zipper which doesn't show under my jeans! These are not daily footwear for me so I can't testify to durability but I have no complaints at all. Another positive purchase from Zappos!

Got these in tan as it was the only color in my size. I did a lot of research and got an 11.5 instead of my size which is 12 and they fit perfect. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn and also the coolest looking. I plan on getting the black as soon as a 11.5 size is available at Zappos. Very, very happy.

Note that the color shown in the picture is not accurate. It's much more of a dirty brown color in person. I can't speak to the durability of this boot as I've only had them for a couple of months, but so far it's a very comfortable, stylish boot that runs a full size big.

Ok I am sorry but these boots as awesome as they might look have one huge flaw. The heal/sole is directly connected to a piece of fabric (not leather). There is a nice leather flap that goes over the fabric (canvas?) but man oh man the canvas material crapped out so fast I cannot believe more people have not complained about this. Not only did the head start to come undone from the back of both boots, but the canvas in other areas (see photos above) started to crack and open up. I would say it took about 3 weeks of wearing them to work (office job). So these had a pretty easy life and to fail so quickly is a real disappointment. Good luck and be careful.

Really liked the style of these boots, and the reviews seemed positive, so I bought a pair, as they were a bit more stylish than my old work boots. They've been great to wear, and are comfy though they feel a little roomy (easily fixed with an added Dr. Scholl's arch support). The big gripe I have with these shoes is that the canvas that forms the back of the shoe has started to rip at the heel after only 6 months of wear. I was hoping that these would last awhile, considering my last pair of Caterpillar work boots held together for close to 5 years. I guess Bedstu doesn't employ the same quality materials as Caterpillar. Sad, as I really liked these shoes otherwise.
