Love this bag. Roomy, soft leather, beautiful suede and fabric interior. Considering buying it in other colors.

I am in love with this bag already! It is beautiful. The leather is soft and smooth. I ordered it in black, I'm definitely purchasing another one in red and one in natural. It is the perfect size for all the items I carry on a daily basis. It is a classic that I will use often! I ordered it yesterday and received it today. One day free shipping makes the purchase even sweeter!

Beautiful bag. Beautiful leather. The new key keeper doesn't bother me. A Dooney rep. explained that the old leather key keeper would end up being pulled off or tearing with continued use and that the nylon was stronger. Makes perfect sense to me!

This is a beautiful bag -- however, it's much too big for me! I met the Vachetta leather satchel in a D&B store and thought it too large for me once I tried it on (was on vacation and hadn't opened my Zappos box yet!). The vachetta leather is soft and beautiful and will probably break in fairly quickly for that nice, comfortable, "worn in" feeling. It's obviously very roomy, and I'm sure I could've fit all of my usual essentials plus some additional items. I can see how it would be heavy to carry around for a long period, however, I wouldn't let that deter me if I really loved it! Sad that I'm not as in love with it as I was hoping to be!

I bought this bag in December, and just started using it today, the quality of the bag is wonderful, the style and great. I love this bag, I have other D&B, but this is by far my favorite.

It actually took about a week for me to begin using this purse. At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep it but I decided to give it a chance for the simple fact that it has great craftsmanship and the leather smells so fresh. The only negatives that I have noticed are that it is very heavy, as other reviews have pointed out, also the leather scratches very easy. I also wanna point out that the green underside of the tassels are a very bad idea. I really wish they would’ve left that off. Outside of that the purse is spectacular and those few things do not bother me enough not to carry the purse. Great purchase.

I was so much looking forward to get this bag, well I got it and is everything the reviewrs said: Very well made, wonderful craft, exquisite colors, beautiful, elegant, precious...But, (there is always a but)...The handbag it's heavy, and I mean HEAVY, also as soon as I touched it leaved scratch marks on the leather, so weird. But the real deal breaker for me was when I looked in the mirror and realized this bag made me look like a banker in the 90's. Yes, it's perfect, so well made, but unfortunely not for me. Too stiff. I returned today.

The quality is high. I wish you couldn't see any color from the inside lining on the zipper although the lining is quite beautiful inside. I cut off the cheesy tassels and it's much better now. This a very heavy bag if you couldn't figure it out by the size, but it will last a long time.

The opening is too small to easily access. I had difficulty getting my continental wallet and iPad mini into and out of it.style I'd nice and quality is excellent but I have stopped using it. Disappointed.

I fell in love with this bag after seeing it in an ad. When it arrived I almost sent it back because it had a few scratches. I decided to keep it after reading others' reviews that this was normal and they would blend in over time and the leather would darken. I've had the bag for about a month now and the scratches are only visible to me because I know they're there. The leather has become darker already and the scratches have blended in. I would say the leather looks more buttery, in a good way than when I first got it. The only other thing I'm disappointed about is that the tassels and the long strap have developed some cracks in the leather. I don't know if this is due to the nature of the leather or I have a dud but it isn't obvious; it's just something I have noticed. I'm still giving the bag 4 stars because I'm sure Zappos would exchange it for me if I sent it back, and I really like the style of the bag and the large size and option of the cross-body strap. Overall the quality is excellent for the price. I traveled with it several times so far and it was very useful at the airport, especially running around with kids. When I'm by myself I prefer to carry it as a satchel. Many have complained about the satchel straps not being large enough to fit your wrist through them but I have not really had a problem. I guess it would be nicer if they were a little bit bigger but it hasn't been a problem for me. I noticed several people also complained about there not being an outside pocket for easy access to keys, etc. but I think that would ruin the look of the bag. The interior has a hook for keys, which I use so I can fish them out easily. I have been asked by many who makes the bag because it doesn't look like a Dooney and I think it looks like a much more expensive bag. If the leather cracks more I may ask for an exchange, but I will definitely not be returning it. The chestnut matches everything and even looks good with black. I can fit my iPad in here along with a whole mess of other things I carry around. It has lots of good interior pockets and the suede interior feels very luxurious. It is a large bag, so if you aren't a serious handbag lover don't bother. It is heavy on its own. For me, it is worth it because I carry so much stuff a good quality leather bag doesn't make much difference in weight. You can't expect to buy a gigantic leather bag with metal hardware and not expect it to weight a few pounds!

I love this purse. The color is great. It is very well made. I gotten a lot of compliments on it. If I don't want to carry it, I can easily attach the shoulder strap. The only thing I wish it had is an outside side pocket to keep my phone or keys.

I love all your bags, but this one marks up, terribly! I'm not sure what to put on it! D&B bags wear like iron, & are made very well. I usually go for the pebbled leather, & now I know why!

This is the 2nd D & B bag I have sent back in 2 days; this one, had 76 reviews & I think I read most of them. For this price, I decided the bag better be perfect & ideal in every way. So...I love the bag (tan color), very stylish, good soft yet durable (it seems) leather. Why send it back? Well - heavy (I compared with bags I now have, it seemed it would be OK); good lining, heavy duty zipper, detachable strap; what I especially did not like: the metal 'feet' on the bottom are very small - I don't think they are well-placed or would hold up if the bag were full; the top zipper (another reviewer mentioned this), too short to get into the bag easily, it really needs a re-design, but I find that curved zippers do not work well either - so the top zipper needs to be longer, necessitating a wider bag. And as another reviewer mentioned - the inside key hold - really - not leather? for this price bag? I am an older lady ("senior") and the bag would probably outlast me! I have been slowly updating my wardrobe, etc. with 'classic' styles which I did not need/could not afford when I was younger. But - the stuff had better be 100%. On the other hand - Zappos: 100% all the way!

I love this bag!!! The leather is nice and stiff so it will keep it's shape for longer than most bags. The rich red color is what drew me to this bag. However, on a petite girl to looks like a diaper bag its so big. I am returning it so that I can order the next size down. Worst thing is now I have to wait to get a new bag :( oh the sacrifices of fashion.

The style is cute but the light beige color didn’t work for me and I felt it was too big for my size (5’4” 135lbs). Also, this packaging for this is not good- just in the box, in a plastic bag. I almost cut the purse opening the box because I expected it to be well wrapped but it was not. The Hobo bag I bought was packaged way better than this and it was half the price. Beautiful leather though. I agree with other reviews the top zipper is awkward and should be wider, and the nylon key lanyard is silly, why didn’t they just make that leather too. The Hobo bag has a leather key lanyard.

I loved the look of this bag - but it weighs a ton. I always feel like I'm carrying luggage, rather than just a handbag, when I use this bag. I tend to opt for different handbags now and this one sits on the shelf. If I could do it again, pretty though it is, I wouldn't buy it.

This handbag is dull looking. I purchased in the black. Dissatisfied with this purchase. For the price, not happy. I wish this handbag was more shinny. Maybe I should have chose a different color.
