These shoes are great even better with super feet inserts. I run 4.5 miles a day and these shoe hold up very well. They fit well and absorb road impact very well. I will definitely purchase these again.

I'm a heavy runner and also have plantar fascia. I must have orthotics in able to keep up with running. I'm able to use the orthotics (without the Mizuno insole) and still benefit from Prophecy's features. I'm able to run every day without shin pain or heel pain. They really take a pounding on the street or treadmill. These are by far my favorite running shoe. I'm so pleased I spent the extra money on the better quality running shoe. I look forward to my running more now that I have no pain afterward. I would also recommend not using this for regular training. I find this are strictly for running.

These are good shoes. I bought these for my son for some kind of running he does. He has been very happy and has kept getting larger sizes as his feet grow. He no longer complains of foot pain.

I usually buy Nike Air Max's. This shoe has very cushioned support. Great shoe to wear on the street. Meets expectations on wave design vs. Air Max support. Supplies you with a "cushion of air" feeling. I have not spent much time, so cannot comment on how the wave support feels after many hours on your feet.

I am a long time fan of Mizuno products (shoes and golf clubs), and have owned five different generations of their Wave Creation. In more recent years the Creation was too narrow or too wide and just felt less than I had come to expect (so I ran in Asics). I have only owned these shoes for one day (will post a more extensive running impressions at a later date) but they are already the best fitting and most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! Thanks Mizuno and Zappos!

Talk about a running shoe that was made for a neutral runner...feels like floating on clouds. The energy return on the Prophecy's are just amazing. Today was my first run on the pavement, have been running on the treadmill. Both running experiences were great, but the difference was very perceptible on the road. Almost bounced off the pavement. A huge Mizuno fan, and have been running with the Wave Creations as well. Highly recommend giving these a try.

I got these shoes for my dad, he needed something for his height and weight because he's a big guy. He wore mizunos before, but not this style. He loves these! They are comfortable and supportive.

I've reached the 100 mile mark on these shoes so it's time for a review. I like these shoes. I don't know if I'd say I love them and I say that as fan of Mizuno. First off, the fit of the upper of this shoe is very glove-like when you slip it on. Nice feeling but compared to the Wave Creation no significant improvement to my running experience. After that you'll notice as you walk forward in this shoe that you experience a kind of propelling forward sensation as the 3/4 length wave plate collapses/cushions under your forefoot. While a pronounced sensation walking, it's nearly imperceptible running. Reports that you feel as though you're being thrust forward as you run has/is not my experience. The cushioning of this shoe is very firm. I'm 6', 185 lbs. I find that this shoe shines more at longer distances (5+). The rhythm my gait finds around 5 miles seems to match well with the structure of this shoe. Up until that point I experience the shoe's cushioning as very dense, but a kind of float over the 3/4 length of cushioning is noticeable as my mileage climbs. The longer I go the more I notice it. Prior to this shoe I've been running in the Wave Creation for the past couple of years. While I like the Prophecy I don't like it this much more than the Creation. It's nice but just not a noticeable improvement from the Creation. I'll log my 500ish miles on this shoe and report back if my experience changes but at this point I intend to return to the Creation at that point.

I received a pair of the Prophecies from a local shoe store. I have run 5 marathons and many halfs. It seems over the last few years I am always fighting some sort of aggravating injury (plantar fasciitis, metatarsalagia, achilles tendonitis). I have had no problems with the Prophecy other than the price. For that reason I primarily use them only for my long runs. They are an excellent shoe.

These are by far and away the BEST pair of running shoes I have ever worn! Period! I've been wearing Mizuno Wave Creation for a while but the Prophecy blows them away! It's really hard to describe the level of comfort with these shoes--it's literally like walking/running on clouds with lots of support on the right spots. I've tried all kinds of Saucony's, Brooks, Asics, Adidas, and other brands, but I've always come back to Mizuno. Experts say that if you're a runner you must replace your shoes every 500 miles or so. A few weeks ago I began to develop some knee discomfort. When I replaced my old Mizunos with this pair, the paid little by little subsided. Yes, they're pricey my friends, but take it from a very picky runner, once you put these shoes on, you'll neve want to wear anything else! :^)

These shoes are great. Fit great with great support. I had to get a size larger. Made in South Vietnam, but in the right size, they feel wonderful.

Premium shoe for those that want serious support for running, speed walking or group fitness. This shoe felt so great out the box that I ordered a second pair because my body deserves the best support available. Amazing shock absorption. I have hip issues. I do not feel the pressure I was experiencing with with other shoes that claim to have get shock absorption qualities. This is head and shoulders above any shoe I've worn and Zappos has the best customer service. Other companies do not have the same service or exchange policies as Zappos. I am a loyal Zappos customer. Be good to yourself and purchase the Mizuno Wave Prophecy - you will not regret it.

Great shoes! These are the best supportive shoes I've ever owned. And this is the best company I've ever dealt with. I ordered a size a little too small, no problems exchanging them. Thanks Zappos!

I've purchased 5 pair of the Wave Prophecy. My husband, son and myself love them! They are extreamly comfortable, shock absorbant and they propel you forward while running. My husband says, his feet never felt better. I love how they support my high arch and provide shock resistance to my knees.. Great purchase!

Just when I thought I was out. After miserable experiences since my first love affair with the Creation 9, 10 and 11 came to an abrupt halt I had quit you, Mizuno, and swore I would never look back, but you pulled me back in with an absolute winner! Hands down these are the best running shoes that I have ever worn. Planning on purchasing a few more pairs before the bean counters at Mizuno decide to try and mess with perfection. Comfort, support, weight disappears when in stride, eliminates all stress on shins and knees and definitely will allow you to go further with a quicker recovery. I am a larger boy with a slight outward pronation and love the neutral support and action in these kicks. You absolutely get what you pay for with these.

I have had 7 pairs of Mizuno's in the past and it was time to buy a new pair. I didn't really care about the price, I just wanted comfort and support. I run about 30-40 miles a week and do 12-15 half marathons a year. I got the Prophecy and instantly I knew they were different. It is just a total different feel when you are on them. I felt like I took longer strides with less effort and the shoes were begging me to go forward. I had absolutely no pain in my feet, shins or knees with these shoes. This morning it rained so I wore an older pair of Mizunos. After my 5 mile run with the old shoes, my feet hurt and my knees were sore - proving even more the Mizuno Prophecy shoes are worth every penny. My running partner ordered his this morning after watching me use them. I am ready to buy a second pair to rotate them out. Thank you Mizuno!

Awesome shoes, great fit, total comfort when walking or running, very soft plush ride, I get tons of remarks on how good these shoes look, well worth the cost. This is my second pair, when they release a new color I will buy those too.

I am 35, and, although I exercise daily, I have never been a regular runner. Running has always given me shin splints and pain in my upper back, despite trying shoes that salespeople recommended for my foot type. I bought the Wave Prophecy after my wife raved about her pair. Simply put: these shoes make me want to run. I no longer have pain during or after running; my legs feel terrific. The shoes seem to propel me forward, and I think my form has improved without any effort on my part. I currently run in them every other day for about 4-6 miles. I am not keen on the design (I have the original red color, which look like some alien insect exoskeleton) or high cost, but I am running more regularly and enjoying doing so for the first time in my life. To me, that is what matters. I love my pair and would and will buy them again.

By far these sneakers are the best running sneakers I have ever purchased. I'm use to buying the top of the line/most expensive sneakers currently out on the market. The price value for these sneakers are well worth it. I have my brother and father getting a pair as well. I'm an active runner who competes in Mud Races, such as Spartan, Tough Mudder, etc and the prophecy really makes a massive difference in my workouts. There is absolutely nothing I would change.
