I bought these in Germany 16 years ago and used them occasionally as slippers. When I developed plantar fasciitis seven months ago, I pulled these out to see if they would help. Wow! Even on my most painful days, where it was painful to stand in any other shoes, I could slip these on and get immediate relief. They allow me to walk pain free. I now wear them exclusively as my house shoe and occasionally when I'm out and about and need the extra support. The wool felt is not in style for men in the US or I'd wear them more outside the home. I'm now looking at a leather pair (View) for outside use.

You have any plantar fasciitis or arch issue the Haflinger shoes are a life saver. I always wear them around the house especially when I get out of bed which is when the plantar fascia is the tightest.

I simply love these shoes. And yes, they are more like shoes than slippers. My (vinyl?) strap that runs the perimeter of the opening on my first pair came undone at the heel after about 6 months, but I sewed it back shut and they lasted another 6 months. I wear these every day all day. Just bought my second pair, and I imagine I'll keep replacing them for the rest of my life.

Purchased these on the recommendation from my sister-in-law for plantar fasciitis. Do feel a little larger than marked, but works perfect with socks. My feet feel amazing with them! Would definitely recommend them.

These are wonderfully comfortable shoes. They even have some arch support. I use them for house shoes but they would work for walking too. I bought them in grey also.

These are the most comfortable shoes that I have. I love the arch support! I've bought three pairs and given one as a gift. I wish that they would have this same design, with the same arch support, in leather for outdoors use! Haflinger -- are you listening?

This is the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. It's a great house shoe. The arch support is wonderful. The materials and craftsmanship are first rate. I look forward to slipping them on every day. They run a bit short so a 14 fits my size 13 feet.

Bought two pairs, same color by accident. Great arch support - Haflingers are one of the bet for that. Toes have more than enough room...overall very very nice. In the AT Haflinger I take a 43, none available in this style, so I ordered 42s & they fit fine.

I have now found my perfect shoe! They fit perfectly and the arch support is fantastic. My feet are happy!

Great shoes - slippers that actually have support! They aren't necessarily the most stylish out there, but they are certainly some of the most comfortable! My husband wears these because he hurt his foot and needs arch and heel support, even when walking around the house. The tread is sold - you could walk outside without slipping!

Fantastic slippers I wear constantly. Very supportive and great arch support. These are NOT soft and cuddly. More like shoes, but this my third pair over ten years or so.

I love these shoes! They are perfect for around the house and garden. And they last forever - I bought this pair to replace a pair that were 12 years old. Amazing quality.

Tried the leather version, but it was just a tad to small in 13 and that's as large as they come. This felt version was fine. Perfect for winter inside.

These are the finest slippers I have owned. They offer the same support as Birks, but with a wool insole. The insole is not as thick as the upper which is very thick and soft. I tried a lot of nice slippers but found these to be superior because of the support. I didn't like the minimal styles offered by Haflinger and Giesswein as much. I returned my first pair because of loose stitching, but still think these deserve the highest rating. If the second pair unravel, I will be sure to update my review.

Ordered another pair "Snowbird", with shearling and since I have neuropathy, in my feet due to MS, the shearling lined shoe fits and feels much better! There are no pressure point pains with the shearling lined "Snowbird" shoe. Otherwise, this shoe is a five.

These are the only shoes I buy or wear, even in public! I have feet issues with all shoes but Haflingers. They are the greatest shoe on the planet. This is a real human.

I have problems with plantar fasciitis. I had a pair of Haflingers about 10 years ago and wore them out. I got a new pair but they did not fit right and were very expensive. I tried different shoes which did not work out so I thought I would try Haflingers again especially as they were not as expensive thru Zappos. Ordered this pair and I am very satisfied.

I love these so much. I mostly wear them as a slipper around the house, but occasionally wear them out for quick local errands. I can't wait to get home every day and slip these on...heaven. I wear a size 10 and a 41 in my favorite Gizeh Birkenstocks, and the 41 in these fit perfect. Great with my usual no socks situation, but certainly room for cozy socks too. The very first day I got them they were slightly itchy on my bare feet and I thought " uh oh"...but then the wool fibers tamped down immediately and they are the warmest most comfortable slippers ever with perfect foot support for running around the house or neighborhood. Just buy these, they are that good.

My husband loves these! They're super comfortable and it's great that they hold up outside, too. He'd been through a few pairs of Ugg slippers that just end up smelling awful. So far so good!

I've owned a pair of Haflinger slippers for years and absolutely love them. I bought a pair for my partner for Christmas, and he now is in love with them as well. They're quite expensive, but SO very worth it. You get the support of a shoe with the comfort and warmth of a slipper.

I've had these shoes for about three weeks and I'm really happy with them. I have plantar fasciitis and need to wear orthotics in both my work and my athletic shoes. I wanted a shoe with good arch support for just walking around the house. When I get home from work I put these on and they feel great! The only problem I had was that I initially ordered the size that was recommended on the Zappos website and the shoes were way too large. I wear a size 7, and 38 is not the equivalent size. I returned the first pair and ordered a size 37, which fit perfectly. The free shipping and free returns are why I will continue to buy my shoes from Zappos. Great customer service!

I haven't had a pair of these in ten years and I had forgotten how awesome they were. They keep my feet warm and dry for that first, early morning walk outside to walk the puppy and get the newspaper. But even better, they keep my feet from getting the winter, cold-weather dry, cracked heel thing that they used to do. I like the leather trim vs the embroidered because it gives a cleaner line and when I wear hand knit socks, it doesn't compete. I normally wear a 39 but I had to finally get a 40 to get the right fit.

Wanted to use these for slippers but I wear orthotics and I couldn't get my foot in slipper with the orthotics in...it's too tight over the top of my foot. Darn it! They were perfect without orthotics but that isn't how I'd wear them.
