I love my Zappos. I have a hard foot to fit. Zappos gave me the option of returning several pair before I found the best fit for me.

This is my second pair of Haflingers. After having plantar fascitis, I do not walk around the house barefoot and use these as a daily slipper/house shoe. My pair is 2 years old and has a tear in the wool at the inside base where my foot is the widest. Wish they would last longer but they are wool not leather. I wear an 8.5W and the size 40 fits fine.

I love these "slippers." I have owned 4-5 pair, and wear them every single day. They have helped my feet, and my back -- don't know what I would do without them! They cost a little more than similar brands, but it is well worth the cost!

I love my new Haflingers and my twin sister, Judi Cloutier, loves hers also. We always know we can go to Zappos to find what we need in shoes and get excellent online and personal customer service.

I was looking for a shoe to wear around the house that had more support than slippers. This shoe is perfect for that. The style is fine, but very casual and to me, more appropriate as slippers than as shoes. They were a tiny bit uncomfortable at first, but now that they're broken in, they are very comfortable.

I received this as a Christmas gift 2 years ago, one of the best gifts ever! I live in these in the fall and winter months but I pretty much only wear around the house, rarely outside, though. I think they can be worn outdoors. I will definitely purchase another pair when these wear out; they are worth the price to me. I have been ordered by my doctor to wear some sort of shoes at all times due to my high arches and overpronation. If you are looking for comfy shoes to wear inside or out these would be a great choice!

I love these shoes! They have terrific arch support & last a long time. I use them as indoor slippers due to plantar fasciitis. The felt does shed, though not enough to affect the integrity of the shoe, but just enough to have to pick up off the carpet every so often. They also run a bit small, but then stretch out slightly after continued use. If you any kind of foot issues, or want to avoid developing any, I would recommend these shoes.

In 1995 I bought the first pair and have enjoyed the comfort, great support and warmth every winter, without socks. Finally replaced them, and size 39 fits my 8.5-9 foot a tad snug for the first couple times I wear them, but now stretching out to that great familiar comfort. Love these in navy with the same trademark braid.

I was looking to replace my very old Haflinger clogs that I used as slippers and accidentally bought the clogs in the slipper section. They had very little support, so I had to return them. I thought to search under the brand name, and voila! I ordered 2 sizes and ended up keeping both: the 39 for my right foot and the 38 for the left! I think that's my feet, not the clogs. Like all clogs, these are not tight fitting, so while they might be wider than I'd expect in a traditional shoe, they are what I would expect in a clog.

These are great shoes...but in recent years they have changed something and the foot box has become way too wide and tall, especially for a woman's foot. In an attempt to provide unisex shoes, and I am guessing as manufacturing has moved from Germany to other locations...size seems to vary greatly even within a style/shoe. A size 39 will be perfect first time, but year later 39 is too large...very inconsistent as other reviewers have noted. My wife used to wear a 39 comfortably in this shoe and now a 39 is WAY too large in foot box and in length. She also used to wear a 38 in another style (AT Hardsole) over the last 6+ years, but now a 38 is too small, and the 39 is too big. When you try to size down for a smaller foot /toe box, the shoe becomes too short for ladies. My only suggestion is to order multiple sizes and try them on...and then return the no-fits. Suggestion to Haflinger....please make more of your shoes gender specific (Mens and Women's) and sized accordingly. These are truly 5 star shoes....but currently with some sizing challenges that did not used to exist.

My entire family loves Halflingers but I'm 99% positive that the pairs sold on Zappos are knock-offs, or the company moved its manufacturing to a new place and quality has severely declined. The quality of the slippers is just awful. I've had 3 pairs of them from Zappos in the past 2.5 years and returned them all - the stitching comes undone, the felt comes unglued from the cork soles, among other problems. Buyer beware!!!! The photos here are of a pair that are less than 1 year old.

I ordered size 42 (9 U.S.) so that I could wear heavy winter socks. For 15 years I have done this and bought 41 to wear with thin socks. 41 is my size for Birkies, also. My new pair arrived and is so small that I can't get even get my bare feet in them. I noticed that a buyer in WI had had these before me, and perhaps he returned them for the same reason. The size is completely wrong, despite the embossed size on the sole. They are 3-4 sizes smaller than marked.

I have had at least 5 pair of these in my adult life and they are PERFECT as house shoes in my old, wooden floored home all year around. They are cozy with socks in winter and easy to slip on.

With working from home indefiniately, I needed house shoes that I could just slip on and off. But require support due to planter facetious. I put these on from the box and have worn them daily since. They are warm, but not too hot where my feet sweat, are comfortable in socks or barefoot and are wide enough in the toe box. I know they are expensive, but they will be worn daily for years. I am a Dansko wearer and I like these even more! I bought the same size as Dansko and they fit similarly in size.

I got these as a gift for my husband and he instantly loved them. The sizing is the same as his Birkenstocks and the width about the same, too. They are made of quality materials and sound construction. The accents add a smidge more style. The grey is a handsome color.

These shoes were exactly what I was looking for, for my husband's Christmas gift. The size, color and style were what I ordered and they arrived in a very timely fashion.

Great slippers. I bought a pair as a gift to replace the exact same pair that had been worn in the house for a few years. Warm, but not sweaty, easy to put on and off, and generally neutral styling.

Terrific clog -- comfortable, not a sweaty shoe but warm nonetheless. Good grip for wet winters.

These felt a little too small for my husband. They don't come in half-sizes, and he needed an 11 on one foot and a 10 on the other so we had to get two pairs and mix and match. But they are extremely comfortable, durable, the width feels right to him, and they provide excellent support. So 5 stars overall but they do seem to run small.

I am looking to buy a replacement pair of these shoes because I loved them so much. After at least 8 years, I wore holes in my old ones.

These were recommended to me before I got pregnant but I wasn't sure I wanted them. I bought these last month (while 8 months pregnant) and literally have been living in them ever since. My feet were hurting quite a bit before I bought these, but now my feet feel so better. I wear them morning until night, even out of the house. I don't know what I would have done without them!

Shoes fit perfectly. Replaced a pair that I have totally worn out. Great to wear indoors or outside.

This is my second pair of these great indoor/outdoor shoes. I just love, love, love them! Super comfy indoor slippers in all but the warmest months, they are also fine for short, casual trips around town. Also superb for travel and easy slip off and on at security, warm cozy comfort on the plane, then you also have a pair of slippers along at your destination. What could be better? Very well made, mold to your foot over time. A little pricey, but worth it IMHO.

These shoes are warm, roomy and comfortable. With my high arch I need good support, and I can walk long distances without getting achy feet.
