These are a bit short and tight around the binding top. I realize they will stretch a bit as I have had several pairs of the ones without soles. But with a sole, I suspect they will not stretch as much.

I love these slippers. They're warm and feel like a real shoe because of the nice arch support. I like to wear my slippers big (to accommodate wearing a sock) but these are a snug fit. I'd order a 1/2 size up next time.

One of these shoes developed a hole in the big toe area after only 3 months of wear. A hole developed in the same area on the other shoe a month later. What a shame! I loved the shoes otherwise -- even patched the toe area once but another hole developed and patching this type fabric is too difficult and time-consuming. I included a photo. I was sticking my toes through a little to show the holes. The shoes actually fit perfectly so that wasn't the cause of the holes. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone unless they can afford to replace them 3 times a year and haven't been able to wear any other shoe for whatever reason.

Although the slippers are comfortable, I have purchased them at least 4 times and each time I got a big holes near the big toe areas (and even once near a small toe) within just a few months of wearing them. I am not hard on my shoes and this never happened to me before. It is getting too expensive to buy 4 pair of these expensive slippers each year so I am going to look for a different slipper to purchase in the future.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He loves them because of the great comfort and support. He truly was amazed at how wonderful they felt on his feet. These are the first pair of slippers that we've found that have really good arch support. We ordered his size based on the sizing info provided and had to order 1 size up.

I have to wear slippers with inserts all the time for foot problems and I found that these accommodate the inserts and hold up well to constant wear. The rubber soles are easy to wipe off if they get dirty and are okay if you go out to grab the paper. The wool provides warmth, but doesn't make your feet sweat in the summer. They do leave black skid marks if you scuff your feet on tile/hardwood floors, but that is easily cleaned up. I highly recommend these slippers.

I wear out a pair of Haflingers once a year. That is not saying that these are bad slippers. I am diabetic, and I have plantars fasciitis and heel fat pad atrophy. So I need to wear shoes or slippers with good support at all times I’m on my feet. And since we’ve been home for the past year and a half and not going anywhere, I have been in my slippers a whole lot. The weird thing about boiled wool is it’s warm when you need it to be warm and yet in the summer it’s not hot. I don’t get it either. So this is my third pair, and basically I really need to replace them because the arch support eventually gets squishes down when you wear them 12 hours a day. But boy do I love these things. I hope they never ever change. I do buy one size up. That’s mainly because my feet are so wide with a high instep.

I love Haflinger slippers! I have worn the soft-soled ones for years but decided to try the hard sole. They are just as comfortable and fit just as well.

These slippers are very comfy and your feet can breathe! The center seams caused slight scratch marks on foot when worn without socks, but 2 big-sized band-aids fixed the problem. Like that I can walk outside with them to fetch the mail/newspaper or walk the dog.

These slippers are well made. The only problem with them is that they run at least a full size too small! Normally with a size 9 I could wear a pair of socks if my feet got cold, but with these I can barely fit in them in bare feet.

This is a great house slipper; right out of the box it was comfy. I usually wear an 8 1/2 womens shoe and previously ordered a size 9 but it was way too short and tight across the instep; reordered the women's 10 (men's 8) and it was perfect! Glad I didn't give up. Thanks Zappos!

These are the most comfortable slippers! I resisted wearing slippers for years because I found them to be uncomfortable or too hot. These slippers keep my feet warm but they are breathable enough to wear even during the summer months.

I love these slippers! This is my second pair. They last a long time. I finally got holes in the toes. They are a perfect temperature for summer and winter. Boiled wool is the best. They have a rubber? Sole that allows you to wear them outside too. Oh, and if you have bad feet, needing arch support these work.

I'm wearing them right now! They are my indoors shoes. Especially for cooler weather, they're snug and warm, a step above slippers. There's no breaking in, the wool upper is stretchy. I wear with various socks. I have a narrow foot with socks the M width fits fine. Totally pleased with this purchase, and would recommend highly.

Pretty good arch support, well-made and yes, you can walk out to get the mail or pull the garbage can down to the street! I ordered a nine and they are true to size and fit my slightly wider than "B" feet because the wool fabric has a bit of give.

Had this item 5 months. Very comfortable in the beginning. Within 3 stretched to much to be supportive. Just threw them away. I’m a conscientious groomer. Holes in both where the big toe rests. This was my second pair. Not worth the nearly $100.00 price tag.

I needed to replace my  “house shoes” after my slip-ons literally wore out after many years. After reading customer reviews about this slipper, I was a wee bit concerned about the fit and ordered them with my fingers crossed after looking up the recommended size on the chart provided. I wanted to wear these at home, during the day with socks in the Fall and Winter. I needn’t have worried . These slippers (house shoes) were a FABULOUS fit right out of the box! I put on a lightweight sock to try them on and like magic, it all came together Instantly in a MOST comfortable fit with a perfect length and width ! A critical feature is that I do NOT fall out of this slipper even though it is a slip-on. I could tell that would probably NOT be a problem when I saw the design with the slightly elevated heel . I really like the idea of being able to wash them and air dry when necessary. Also, the wool is flexible and warm. I also am very pleased with the rubber sole lending both Flexibility for brief outdoor wear as well as a longer life. I am totally sold on these and they do precisely the job I required of them...comfy, warm and kick off easily when I recline on the couch ! This design and make are now a lifetime staple for me. Let's be honest, Haflinger slippers are NOT the most stylish things around. But if you have high arches, or any foot issues for that matter, OR would just enjoy having comfortable feet while you pad around the house, these are for you! I've owned 5 pair now (4 pair of the soft bottomed slippers - which were too slippery on all my hardwood floors! But STILL comfortable!) and I love slipping these guys on after a hard day out in the world. They're well constructed, they don't bind or have weird seams anywhere, and these new hardsole slippers are PERFECT for hardwood or tile floors. I can't recommend them enough! (Out of desperation, I tried the 'normal' Haflinger outdoor shoe for my slippers - and the rugged bottom basically shaved my carpets, so.. no good.) These are great and I love them!

My size is a 38,the second pair team Zappos sent out to me is the correct size,38.maybe a trifle snug,but the slippers are felted wool and will give after a whil.i am very happy with slippers.

I bought these for my wife and she is really pleased with them. The fit is perfect with just enough support. The decision was between these with the hardsole and the style with the soft sole. She went with these with the thought that they would hold up longer and be useful for the occasional trip outside.

I bought these for my husband, who wears an 8.5 mens size. These fit perfectly, and he loves them.

My husband loves these slippers and according to him and me they beat Ugg hands down! He has a narrow foot and they fit well. Also nice arch support.

These slippers are the best I've every had. They have a good arch, and are very warm. The snow is great if you need to go outside.

I love these -- this is my second pair. Very comfortable, easy on and off, and great for keeping my feet warm in the house.
