I've bought 3 pairs of these, two for myself in the past 2 years, and one for my husband. They are super comfy all year round without making your feet sweat but keeping both feet perfectly warm. We have hardwood floors and I love that the padding is soft and makes no noise when walking around. However, durability is not the best. Both pairs I've had got a hole on one of the toes both times after 8-9 months of daily use- which often is just after work, evenings, late nights and mornings, along with days off if I'm staying at home. My husband's is also getting wear by the toe area. I continue to buy coz I love them and all other indoor slippers are too hot (those with shearling), or doesn't provide the warmth and comfort. The boiled wool, I think is just the best material for keeping your feet warm without the sweat. I still would say these are great. I just wish they lasted longer and weren't so pricey.

I have had two pairs of these slippers and I love them for their arch support, however I find the soles do not last long as the thread binding around the edge wears and the soles start to fall off.

I needed slippers that would alleviate pain from walking on hardwood floors in my home as well as provide some grip so I wasn't always slipping around. The good is that the Haflinger AS Classic Slipper has helped immensely with my foot pain and provides great traction. The not so good, the little gripper dots on the soles look like they will wear off before the rest of the slipper wears out. And while there is good arch support for a slipper, it is lacking in heal cushioning. The overall slipper is also very wide for a narrow foot but perhaps washing it will shrink it to size. I wear them with socks which is warm for California weather but it helps with the roominess.

I like these but they seem much more itchy than the Giesswein Veitsch I have & socks are a must. But I like the soft sole of the Haflinger's better. Seems like the Giesswein's have more of a inner lining perhaps & I can wear those without socks. I wish I could find a slipper with a good built-in arch that isn't wool.

Great comfort once you wear them for a week - brand new they felt tight on the instep. True to size. A round point would have been great and a little heavy, other wise great slipper.

Must-have for those of us working from home during a New England winter! Definitely heed the comments about sizing and order your exact size or slightly smaller; they expand as you wear.

I wear these so my neighbor does not hear me walk about. They are a big flat for me and some arch support would be better for an old heavy lady. Very comforting and comfortable if you have tired old feet. I'm sure a young person could tolerate the flatness, I like them and I have bought my 4th pair as they do wear out easily. Still worth getting if cozy comfort is your purpose. I'm over 80 so it's hard to be comfortable in anything but these are fine.

These slippers seem to run short and wide. I normally wear a 36 euro and had to size up to the 37. I have a wide foot and there is plenty of room for me. My husband is an 11 medium and we had to size up to a 45 (12) for him. I would say arch support is moderate. We are awaiting exchanges.

If you intend to use these to walk out and get your paper off the driveway when the ground is wet at all forget it. It soaks right through the bottom of the slipper. It's like I walked out there in socks. These are only for the house or if your walkway or driveway is completely dry. Other than that they are a comfortable, warm slipper. I usually wear a 10 1/2 D and size 11 fit perfect.

I have searched for the right slippers. I wanted some support, somewhat substantial sole but not a scuff. They are very comfortable and I really like them. I would have preferred a softer interior.

Like others have mentioned here, I recommend ordering a size larger. I am a size 11 foot and the 44 was just a bit too small, so I am exchanging for the 45.

I love these slippers and so does my partner. We have ordered them many times over the years. The only (but major) problem is that the top separates from the bottom quite early on. Everything else about the slipper seems to last a long time but I have had to restitch the top to the sole on every pair that I have gotten, which is quite annoying since they are not cheap slippers! Is there not some way that they can attach them in a more rugged, lasting way? I hesitate to buy yet another pair and have the same thing happen.

I've been wearing the Grizzly model for years but it was a bit small in 46. I am glad these are available in 47 which is a much better fit and I'm not tempted to go outside with them.

I liked this slipper very much, but my usual size was much too small. The arch support was either too high or in the wrong place for my foot-not sure which. I'm going to order a size up and see. Soft and lovely fabric, though, and appear to be very well-made.

Other reviewers mentioned feeling annoyed by the inside top seam of these slippers, and I thought I would take the chance myself. I started wearing them with socks, since I too felt this (only on my left foot). In a few weeks the fabric softened up and now I do not even notice it. These slippers are warm, good support and quite comfortable. Glad I persevered. But not sure why Haflinger does not modify this issue with so many complaints.

Super comfy. Love the arch support and feel of the material against my foot. My mother and sister want them. Found them to be true to size. Only complaint is that my feet sweat really bad inside. I occasionally just have to skip them off for a minute Cool down. I will likely purchase again in the future but will spend the extra money for the rubber soles. The little red dots on these do a decent job of gripping but they are already (after a month of wear) started to become noticeably thin on the ball of my foot. I originally thought house shoes are for the house and I'll never want to wear them outside -- but having the option to step outside in them for a second would be nice.

This is my second pair, and I really enjoy them. They are very comfortable and true to fit. However, my first pair lasted a year, so I'm not sure if that is expected or not. I think they wore down sooner because I would wear them wet out of a shower. Not sure though.

I really want to love these slippers. They are so comfortable and feel great on my feet. However, after wearing them for an afternoon on my hardwood/carpet floors I have little red dots everywhere. The tread is wearing off and they are already slippery. I am sending them back, hoping that it is a defective pair, but worried to reorder. Too much money to pay for shoes that lose their tread in a few minutes.

A great, comfortable shoe. A warm slipper. Only complaint would be the many small rubber grippers on the bottom. After only a week of wearing the shoes around the house, the small grippers started falling off. It's not a big deal, but there are these little plastic things on the floor of my home that I randomly find.

Great slipper, but no one explicitly spells out that the sole is not waterproof. It's an indoor or dry weather slipper only. Round up in terms of slipper size.

These are the best: comfortable, breathable, just right for warm or cold temps inside. They do not last for too long, but (being worn almost every day) definitely worth the price.

I love real wool, and these slippers have all of its best characteristics. They are soft, warm, squishy, and comfortable. Unlike many synthetic slippers, they do not get too hot. My feet stay comfortable because the material is breathable. I am deducting one star because of the seam down the middle of the upper foot. You can feel the back of it along your foot and toes if you wear the slippers without socks (which is how I imagine most people would wear slippers). It does not really bother me, but someone who has sensitive feet or is weird about their toes is going to be bothered by the seam.

I ordered and tried several pairs of slippers before deciding on these. The Haflinger Classic is very comfortable - I have high in step and this slipper accommodates that nicely. I went up a size but might not have needed to because they do stretch after a few weeks of wear. My only complaint is that the small rubber beads that were added to the sole for traction fell off immediately...my floors were littered with little red rubber dots for the first couple weeks. However, I did not return them because I really like the way they look and feel - the nuisance and clean-up was worth it to me.

My 90yr old mother wears a size 6 in most shoes. She found the size 36/5 in this slipper to fit the best. Plenty of room for warm winter socks. She says it's comfortable and not too warm and gives her enough support to let her feel steady on her feet.
