I too ran into the problem of these boots running small. Probably 1 full size. Great boots!

My husband said these were perfect for what he was looking for but ran too small. He always wears a 10 and these were just a little too short.

Exactly what I need for Chicago winters...good traction for ice, waterproof for slush. Great quality, warmth, style and comfort. Sorel is legit & will last 10 years! By the way, sizing is true since there is no annoying liner.

I bought these boots because I spend a lot of time outdoors and needed new field boots to replace my old ones (also Sorels, but a different style). I stuck with Sorel due to my last experience as well as their reputation for making serious boots. I was happy with the boots when they arrived. They were comfortable (order one size up, especially if you have wide feet) and appeared to be well made. Understand that these are not winter snow boots - they are field boots, best for wet, mucky, slushy, off-pavement conditions. They are waterproof and comfortable in the woods or fields, and are great in late fall or during snow melt and mud season. In real snow, this style of boot falls short (other brands too)... They have no traction, especially on packed snow, and are not warm enough for standing on snow or ice for long periods of time. Where I live currently does not get that cold that often, so I thought this style would work well for me (not entirely, but that is not Sorel's fault). I do have issues with the quality of the boot, however. I purchased the boots in the middle of last winter and used them regularly through the rest of the season (a month or two). I would describe the use as moderate - nothing too aggressive, routine use in the woods, limited use on pavement. They still look almost new with no tread wear; however, one of the lacing grommets popped out on the first use this season. That is very sloppy quality control (I have owned a lot of boots of various types and quality levels and never had that happen). Yes, I can still lace them, but that is not an acceptable level of quality for what I expect, especially from Sorel. It makes me seriously doubt that these boots would last for any length of time. If you read reviews of other Sorel boots (especially the classic Caribou), you will see many complaints that the quality has plummeted since the sale to Columbia (and the manufacturing outsourcing to S.E. Asia). Zappos' customer service was absolutely superb and they dealt with the issue within a hour of my email (despite being technically out of warranty). I remain a huge fan of Zappos, but I cannot bring myself to trust Sorel at this time. I will be going with a different brand next, probably Baffin.

If you want to fall on your butts a lot buy these boots. Anything wet or snowy is very slippery. I am not sure what Sorel is thinking here. These boots are great for warmth and comfort but horrible traction for the very season they are built for. Plus, I have had them for little over a year and the rubber lining has cracked where it creases when I walk. Bummer. Cabelas, here I come!

This is the worst boot. It's ever so slightly loose in the heel, which isn't a huge problem. But within two weeks of wear, the fabric had worn to reveal hard plastic which is painful. It also provides little to no traction, and slips on even the most slightly damp surface. The boot looks nice, so there's that, but it's just a terrible product.

I got these for my significant other for the holidays last year--he loves them! Perfect for Chicago winters.

I do a lot of outdoors work. these boots have served me well. especially in the snow. I? haven't tried it in below freezing temps so I don't know how it will hold up. where I lived the temp gets cold in the teens and it has been fine.

These were a big hit with the husband. He was looking for a winter boot with good traction, warm, waterproof, and mostly a rather simple profile (not too many buckles, etc). He loved the classic style of this boot, so it fit the bill! We were going to order up a size based on other reviews, but that was not available, so we just stuck with his regular shoe size and it fit just fine.

These are great boots and ran true to size for my husband! He's a size 13 and has wide feet and they fit well.

Got these in search of something to throw on when it is raining and/or cold outside and don't wanna mess up my shoes in bad weather. They fit great and look masculine unlike some of these other weather boots out there. Your feet will sweat in these if wore for a long period of time.

Ordered size 12 and size 13. Size 12 was a great fit so I am returning the 13. Great boots! Always very satisfied with Sorel.

Bought these for my husband. We've had everything this winter from snow, slush, freezing rain etc. He said that the boots kept his feet warm and comfortable. The only problem was the shaft of the boot rubbed his ankle and lower calf area; wearing thicker socks seemed to have solved the problem.

Fits is true to size. Keeps feet dry in snow. Looks nicer then other duck boots.

Bought these boots for my son. They arrived as expected (which was fast). He loved them so much, he made me try them on. Very soft & warm. Beep pleased

I bought the "Madder Brown/Stout" color combination for my father, and it's GORGEOUS! Other reviews said the boot runs small. I bought two sizes, and yes, my father chose the larger size - 1 size larger than he normally wears. It fits perfectly and he loves them. Thanks, Zappos!

These boots fit great. If you are planning on wearing them with wool socks as I did, I would recommend getting a half size bigger.

Very comfortable and excellent quality shoe for a cold and rainy day...great for snow, too. Good to go to work in, but not meant to be worn all day long in an office environment. These are not steel toe/construction boots. I've bought Sorel boots for over 30 years (this is my 7th pair) and always overly satisfied with their boots. The sizing is dead on perfect. They are comfortable, water repellent and the lining keeps your feet very warm and snug. Worth every penny spent on this pair!

Bought these for my husband and went by some of the reviews so bought them half a size bigger, however they seem pretty true to size so will be exchanging them.

These are great boots! I think these are even better than LL Bean boots. They hold their shape better and are equally waterproof/functional. They are also nice looking. They were a gift for my boyfriend and he loves them.

These are the perfect warm winter boots. They run half a size smaller due to the thick interior but they feel great on and your feet will stay dry and definitely warm in wet or cold weather.

I needed a pair of "duck" boots for a rainy weekend. I called Zappos to see if I could get them next day. They told me to order online and choose standard shipping and they would upgrade me to next day for free! Sure enough the boots got here by the end of the next day just in time for a soggy weekend. The boots are awesome! You could say they feel like they run about half a size small. They are snug but I can still wear thin or thick socks and I am perfectly comfortable. They are completely waterproof so I did not have to worry about rain or mud-puddles. They are very nice quality boots. Thanks, Zappos!
