I love these boots. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8; ordered the 7 1/2 because of reviews saying they run large. I could not slide my foot in at all. Called to exchange for size 8 and they fit perfect! While writing this review, I MUST say that every time I have called Zappos customer service the phone rep has been wonderful! Very helpful, very friendly! I LOVE ZAPPOS!

Beautiful, but definitely a half size too large. Also, I ordered the Redwood, but they looked much darker, almost like the dark brown. I may return and swap out for the next half size down. Otherwise, absolutely beautiful boots.

Love this boot and want to wear it every day! I was worried at first that my true size was a bit snug, but glad I didn't size up because after wearing them a few times, it's perfect!

These are gorgeous boots. Size 8 was too tight for my legs. Too bad as they are elegant and well-made and just what I wanted! I am almost 5'9" and the shaft height was perfect - just too slim!

I love these boots, I wish I could wear them now but I am exchanging the 7 for a 6 1/2. I would not say that they run large so much as they run long. This might be different if I were planning to wear them with thick socks, but my arch is fairly high and it is really difficult to find a pair of boots in the right length that isn't tight across the top of my foot so I tend to wear thin socks. I also considered the Michael Kors Mariel riding boots, but ended up choosing the rider logo boots for the narrow calf and since I would prefer long term not to have to worry about a zipper getting stuck or broken. There is still plenty of room in the calf (my calves are only about 13") but the boots are thick enough that this doesn't look bad at all. The shaft height is fine for me, which I was concerned about with so many tall ladies saying they chose this boot for the height. I am just under 5'5" and these hit a few inches below the base of my knee and are comfortable to sit down in without rubbing on the back of my leg. Considering it may be difficult to choose the right size on the first try (every single other pair of shoes and boots I own are a size 7). Zappos is a great place to order, the exchange process is really fast and simple.

These are so beautiful and it was a long shot they would work for me (I'm 5'3"), but I had to try because I fell in love...if only I didn't need to walk or sit. They looked great while I just stood still. Too long by a mere inch. Back they go.

This boot is much stiffer that the other Dorado boots, so it is less comfortable. The back hits your thigh if you take a big step. I disagree with the other reviewer that the calf is skinny. Just right! I love ordering from Zappos because I have huge feet (size 11) and stores NEVER have my size to try on. I also hate when boots get into the bigger sizes, the calf becomes gargantuan. This was true riding boot: roomy but not so big you could fit a baseball down there.

These boots are absolutely beautiful. Exactly the style I was looking for. I wanted something eye catching and with some unexpected detailing and this boot was it. I was NOT disappointed when I opened the box. I was, however, disappointed when I put them on. They are too high to be comfortable. They come up to just below my kneecap and the leather is stiff enough that it jabs into it when I walk. The same issue is there behind the kneecap when I sit down. The boot is spectacular, and I am not happy to have to return them at all but they're just too high for how stiff the leather is. One inch shorter and I could've kept them. :-(

I'm not sure what the problem was for me, I had these boots and wore them for about 3 months, I was in love! Beautiful, comfortable, stylish, and I had just gotten to the point where they were broken in. Then all of the sudden the tab broke on the top of when of them. Just popped off when I was putting them on. I wasn't even pulling that hard! Fortunately zappos came through and did an easy exchange for me. I got a replacement pair with no issues. Fist time I went to wear my new pair, the tab broke off! I am SO disappointed. I own 3 other pairs of Frye boots and have never had issues like this. For the price of these boots and the repeated issue, I decided to just return this last pair and get a refund without a replacement. I'm very disappointed though, I really loved these.

After months of waiting for these to become available in my size, they finally arrived! I was disappointed though because I ordered them a half size smaller than I normally wear and they were still too big. The calf area also seemed huge. Sadly I had to send them back in exchange for the Lindsay Plate, in a size 8. These were much better but not as dressy as I hoped they'd be. I'm keeping those because I like the feel of them and the fit.

These boots are so beautiful, but had to send them back because the shaft circumference was wrongly stated by Zappos. If you look at the measurements on the Frye website you will see that the true circumference is 13 1/2 not 15 1/2 as stated by Zappos. So if you are going to purchase any boots from Zappos check the Frye Company first to make sure of the true measurements so you wont waste your time. My bad rating is really towards Zappos and not the boots.
