I always buy these socks for my son (age 11). I have found that other athletic socks that are almost all polyester and/or "moisture wicking" cause his feet to really smell. Plus, my son says those types are very "slippery" and his feet move around in his shoe too much. These socks have enough Cotton in them to keep the odor down. Highly recommend.

My son needed mid calf white socks for school, and I thought these would fit the bill. He’s 4’9” and these socks are not mid calf. Maybe there’s made for taller kids, but the work and he just can’t pull them all the way up. He will grow into them, provided they last for a couple years. He likes them, they satisfy the school’s requirements, and Zappos got them to us with a day or two.

These socks are not worth the money. The "large" size shrank down to smaller than the "medium" size my son had previously. I would have returned them, but I've already washed them and he wore a couple of pairs. I bought a package of youth "large" (3 - 9) Hanes at Walmart and he only wants to wear those.
