very nice sandal , but not roomy enough for my large ankles

Smooth, comfortable leather. Insole has natural shape, but relatively low arch. I usually prefer high insole (usually wear inserts), but I find this sufficient. The last fits my foot well: plenty of room for toes and not too wide on the heel. Has enough room for my tall instep. This is one of the few shoes I've been comfortable in without inserts other than a Birkenstock. However, I have not yet worn it for long days or extensive walking. It looks quite nice, and will serve well with shorts, khakis, or jeans on date night.

I like these sandals a lot! They are very nicely made, but I did notice some flaws in the stitching on a few pairs I tried on. The leather appears to be high quality. The shoes give off a very nice new leather aroma, which I can smell 6' away. I am not sure about the Velcro fasteners life span. Velcro is notorious for failing after a number of reuses, so I will have to see what happens. These sandals are incredibly light weight. Almost like being barefoot. I found the size 43 way too tight for my 10½" feet. The 44 worked the best. I also found the soles to be way too hard to walk on. Like walking on aluminum blocks. I added a foam insole from my tennis shoes, which solved this problem. The heel appears to add a little height. I am used to flat shoes, so I am modifying my walking gait a little. The brown and tan colors were nice, but I had to settle on black for work purposes.

Shoe looks nice, but that's where it stops. The upper leather is too soft, and as such does not provide adequate support. Most critical issue is the fit. My little toe (pinky) sticks out between the strap (last two straps at end of shoe). I once had a Timberland Fisherman's shoe, the BEST I've ever worn. I still have it, but its had a good wear and needs replacing. I tried to get a new one from Timberland but found out that they do not build/sell this shoe anymore. Such a shame! Maybe, it was too good to make a profit from??! So, I've been searching to find a similar replacement. no luck so far!!!!

These are nice sandals, but not very comfortable. The sole of the shoe is just a leather pad instead of having some kind of cushioning like other shoes similar to it. I ended up returning because these ought to be the most comfortable shoes given the high price.

I like the look but my fifth toes stuck out because of the unfortunate location of the gap in the straps. What a shame!

There is a rough edge on the strap that makes the shoe feel uncomfortable. Keeping the Florsheim shoe. Much more comfortable

Not what he was hoping for. The style and look are super! Materials, too. Not enough support to wear walking through the streets in Europe, though.

I thought that they looked great, but we're a little loose on my feet, (maybe they run a little large), and they had no way to adjust the tightness. Also, I like a little more spongy type feel in the soles of my sandals. They were a little expensive also.

The fit was fine, however, the length was a full size or more too long. Sent it back.

I bought 2 pairs to try out sizes because in some shoes I wear a 12 and in some a 13. The pikolinos looked good and the support was good but in both pairs parts of the stitching stuck into my foot every time I took a step feeling like I had small thorn inside the shoe that I couldn't get rid of. Too bad because otherwise I liked them.

Sorry to say that I did not try wearing these immediately. Once I first slipped them on, I noticed that there was something sharp and uncomfortable about them. It was the ends of threads (like nylon thread) in several spots that were rubbing on my skin. I was able to trim a couple of the problem areas but a couple others are unreachable (too far inside). This is not my first pair of Pikolinos so I am surprised and disappointed. Should have sent them back, but hoping they will get better.

Great sandals. However, they have a real design flaw in that the they keep falling apart. The stitching isn't beefy enough that holds that top to the sole. Zappos kindly sent me a new pair after the 1st broke soon after I received it. But, now that pair is also falling apart.

These would be good sandals but they wore out too quickly. After one season the stitching around the sole began loosen or tear through the leather and after two seasons the sole is almost completely worn through. I don't wear my sandals very much so this is rather disappointing considering that they are not cheap. I would expect this from a pair of inexpensive Skechers not at this price point.

I'd rate these higher but within 6 months of regular use the outer stitching came apart in awkward places making their appearance disheveled and cheap. For the price of these sandals I expected a whole lot more durability and definitely feel let down.

These sandals are only okay for the price I paid. The soles are too thin, but that seems to be the way they are making them these days.

The buckle that the strap goes through is to narrow, when you release the strap to put it on your foot it tears the stitching causing the velcrox to come off, critical design flaw, this sandle will not last, I will have to have it repaired. That is not good for this price.

There is a seam where the strap meets the rest of the shoe that is very uncomfortable. These are good looking shoes, but unwearable...too bad.

These sandals are not even CLOSE to the size I ordered (like maybe 3 sizes too small) THey're going back.

DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES unless you want to buy another pair in a few months. Felt amazing on my feet. First time I've ever spent $180 on a pair of sandals. More than disappointed when after about 3 months the soles were worn out. I was looking to buy another pair of Born but was steered to Pikolinos by other reviews, one of which a man said he'd had the soles replaced many times. Apparently it was either the wrong type of shoe or a false claim. Figured I could get a nice pair that would be maintainable... I was wrong. For the money I spent I could've got a much better pair of Born or any other brand and more than likely been happier. Amazing shoe, lasted around 3 months of wearing in the evenings and on weekends. Huge mistake on my part. Excellent marketing, horrible quality. Note: I'm writing this review after a year of searching for a cobbler that will tell me something different about repairs. As soon as I realized the soles were worn out I put the shoes away not wanting to damage the shoe under the sole. Since I haven't found anyone that can repair them I am finally content that I tried all avenues - and thus the review. Good luck with your search, please overlook the Pikolinos - you'll thank me.

My husband needed a pair of dress sandals that would look great with socks and summer trousers and yet be comfortable. We were hopeful, but alas . . . despite the expense, these sandals are poorly made as some other reviews have also indicated. The stitching is poor, in fact the pair we received had a piece of leather on the outside of the left sandal not stitched down. My husband wears a 10 W in most shoes, but his right foot is slightly wider than his left and so, depending on the manufacturer, some shoes just do not fit him. We asked for a 43 (9.5 - 10) as recommended by other reviews. The left shoe fit perfectly, but the right was too snug, so . . . we returned them. As always, Zappos was quick and efficient with the return label and the refund.

Seems to have '70s negative heel - don't like the feel. worse: there's a nylon knot under LH velcro buckle that's a Major irritant to my foot.

I saw the good reviews and was sold, but when these arrived I was really disappointed. The stitching on the inside of the sandals that is in contact with the top of your foot is extremely sharp and scratchy. I don't have overly sensitive feet, but there is no way I could survive wearing these for even an hour. Returning them.

I bought these sandals for the style, and they did look terrific. They also were very comfortable. Unfortunately the stitching completely fell apart after wearing them only one summer. I did not expect that from a pair of sandals in that price range.

Sandal fit great, but within two weeks, the stiching on back heal came undone. This design does not seem as well manufacturer as my last pair of Pikolinos, which lasted two years under pretty heavy wear. I've returned the defective pair and will order a new one, hoping this is not a chronic problem with Pikolinos. It may be wishful thinking.
