It took me a few tries to find the right size even when I ordered a size up as other reviews suggested. I had to go up 2 sizes. I am 5'5 145 pounds and wear a 36C bra. I had to order a size 40 to get the right fit. Thought these details of what fit me might be helpful for others.

Great suit but too short and too tight; minimal stretch. I'm a petite size 10 and fit the TYR measurements chart. Suit fits like a size 8. Pity.

I bought the TYR Alliance T-Splice Maxback for my 12 year old daughter, for swim classes. She needed a 'serious' bathing suit as she has progressed out of the Red Cross Swim Kids program and is now entering programs to develop life-guarding skills. We wanted a bathing suit that was modest and would stay put when very active inside the pool (diving, jumping in, flailing around) and outside of the pool (kneeling on deck practicing CPR), and yet still allow her to feel feminine and pretty. This bathing suit is perfect. It fits like a glove, has no gaping or 'riding-up' during any activity, and is of modest cut, while still looking very feminine and pretty. As for sizing, we selected size 38. She is 5'7", weighs 132 pounds, chest 34", waist 28", hips "38.5", Torso 60". It fits well now, with sufficient stretch in the chest area to allow for some growth. She indicates that it is slightly tight around the leg openings, but not so much that it is bothers her or distracts her, and I think this is probably necessary to ensure that the bathing suit does not ride up. She has only worn it 3 times, so I can't speak to longevity, but so far it still looks and feels like new.

Love this suit! I agree on the sizing - normally I would wear a 32, but with this one I went with the 34 and it was a good choice. It fits comfortable and looks sharp.

Fits like a glove - just like it's supposed to. Hard to get on and off - just like its supposed to be. I ordered the 34 and the 36, just in case, but didn't even need to try on the 36. 5'3" 120#. Free return shipping. Gotta LOVE Zappos!

I had forgotten that with these racing suits, you'll want to order up a few sizes from your regular size. I wear a size 6, but for this suit, the most comfortable was a size 36. Maybe that means I've got a longer torso? Either way, I order a ton of Speedo and Tyr suits and this was the most comfortable. Plus, the pattern is really flattering!

I love this suit but I am 5'8", 139 lbs and I could barely get it on with size 40, what kind of sizes are these? Would love it in a larger size.

The material is wonderfully silky soft yet substantial. The pattern camouflages a bigger tummy. The straps are sturdy so it won't droop in front. I'd say swimsuit sizing charts are more confusing than inaccurate. Stick with measurements.

I am 5 foot 3, 105 pounds. I wear a 34C bra and bought a size 34 suit. I am keeping the suit in this size, but I think a 36 might have been better. The 34 is very tight, but it does keep everything in its place.

I weigh 150 at 5'7" - reading the other review with height and weight helped me order size 40 I have a long torso & require some length to accommodate. This suit is great. I especially love the crotch width so I don't need to shave so much.

This is my favorite suit. I need to get more because I love this one so much that I never want to wear my other suits. It's snug without being tight, feels secure so I never have to adjust it, and the straps are wide enough that they do not dig into my shoulders. I agree that they run small; I am a small size 6 (sometimes a 4), and wear size 36 in this suit.

I love the color of this suit! It's very flattering and slimming. I would go up one size from what you normally wear otherwise it might be a little snug.

Looks exactly like this picture. Fits very snug, I ordered one size bigger. Some may want to go two sizes bigger. But this is a competition suit, so it should fit this way. Delivery is very quick. I ordered from three companies, online, the same day. Zappos was first to show up! Great service!

I have a TYR bathing suit in a different style which I like. They fit everybody regardless of your body type. This suit was difficult to get on and off. I could only imagine that when it's wet, it's even worse, maybe forcing a person to pee in the pool. It's not for me. Also, I am 5'2", 130 lbs and the 36 was too tight.

I ordered too small! But will exchange for next size up. It's not 5 stars because of ordering wrong size.

No bra pads/cushioning at all. Nipples show right through. Not good.

I am bust size 34 (weigh 123 lbs, 5'4") and followed the size guidelines, however, I could hardly get the suit up over my thighs as it was so, so tight. Very disappointed that the size guidelines are not correct. Had to return. Paperwork gave me no option to exchange. I didn't want to keep trying different sizes - too exhausting.

Nice design of suit but is not stretchy AT ALL. Ordered 1 size up but that is not enough to begin to get into this suit so has to go back.

I like this suit. I'm 4 ft. 10 inches and I ordered a size 34. It's a little snug but I'm sure it will stretch out after a few weeks. The price was good.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the suit is nice, but runs really small! I would recommend ordering up 1-2 sizes. I'm 5'8" 132 lbs (with long torso) and it was SUPER snug. Will be ordering up next time.

Great suit, but too small for me and I suspect even in a larger size it the opening in the back would not be flattering on me.

Love this suit. Has great support and seems to stay in place while swimming. Based on other reviews, I did order up a size and was glad I did.

I am 5'10" 140 lbs, 32G bra, 37/27.5/38. Size 38 fits me well. My bust is a bit squished but I use the suit for doing laps so I don't mind. The suit is very comfortable.
