This is a gorgeous, useful bag. I bought it to bring to work on a daily basis. The green is versatile enough to be worn in all 4 seasons and with different color outfits. It's big enough for a book, planner, makeup case, small umbrella, wallet, etc. But it's not too big to carry as a regular purse (i.e. it's not just for commuting with a ton of stuff; it can be worn to lunch, etc.). It's likely not big enough to carry letter-sized documents or a pair of shoes, unless you had little else in it. The strap is a great length and easily fits over a coat. The outside zipper pockets are quite roomy and useful, although if the bag is full, they can be difficult to open fully (because they wrap around). Also note that this bag is on the heavy side.

This is a beautiful leather bag that is larger than it looks. The leather has that "new car leather smell" that I love. It also has a pretty interior that helps you to find things in your purse quickly. It would be nice if the purse had metal button feet on the bottom of it, but that's not a big deal because I spend too much money on my purses to ever put them on a dirty floor. I liked this purse so much that I purchased another purse just like it in nylon.

These are gorgeous, but defective. I purchased this bag and within one day I started noticing that the leather had small threads pilling from it. By day three, most of the bag was covered with these tiny thread like hairs coming from the leather. In my entire life, I have never seen this happen to leather before. I was sad to see this bag go, as I loved the zipper pockets on the outside, and the wonderful leather aroma.

I got this bag for my birthday and I am really pleased with it. It is excellent quality with thick pebbled leather that is just beautiful in every way. It smells like the inside of a brand new car. I chose this bag in desert and it looks just the same as on the computer screen. I would say the leather is neither shiny nor matte. It is kind of in between. The zippers glide open and closed very smoothly and it passes the shoulder test. It is one of those single strap bags that stay on the shoulder nicely. I do not live in a coat-wearing area so I have not checked it with a coat on. I know previous reviewers said they found that the strap was too short to fit comfortably on their shoulders but I did not find that at all. In any case, you can make it a little longer if you need to. I extended the strap to the last buckle hole on each side which was more than enough for me. I see you can lengthen the strap even further if you want to because there are little knobs on bag that you can wiggle the strap out of and put back in on the next slot lower down. I cannot explain it properly. Anyway, I will not be tampering with those knobs because I do not need to. If I did need to, I would probably rather take it to the cobbler to do it because the strap is clipped very firmly onto the knobs and I would not want to stretch the leather strap or anything. I am tall at 5'8" and it fits so nicely against my body. The inside is gorgeous too. The desert one has a dark pink and white cotton lining (I think it is cotton, it is hard to say what material it is as I am not familiar with it. It is not suede, that I do know). I really like the design of the inside pockets as it keeps all my things neat and tidy. It is the first bag that I have that I can comfortably keep my lip glosses upright like pens. It feels like a bag that was designed by a woman who knows what women want. Overall it is a wonderful bag. I love the two outer pockets on the front of the bag - perfect for your iPhone or your sunglasses (if you do not have the huge glasses case). This bag is not the lightest of all but it is not the heaviest either. I do not carry very much in my bag so it is not a problem for me. This bag somehow reminds me of a saddle or something. It may be the strap. I cannot really say much more about it. I would recommend this bag for someone who is looking for a very good quality leather bag that lasts for years and years and will not go out of style. It os a classic and those points I just listed are exactly what I was looking for.

I was very skeptical about ordering a purse online, because they never seem to be the right size. However, when I received my purse today, I was ever so pleased to see that it was exactly what I wanted. I just received this bag in the mail. Really lovely quality leather. The aqua color is perfect for a spring/summer bag. There is a inner strap with a hook for your keychain, which is always a nice feature in larger bags saves time searching for an elusive keychain. The outer pockets are the perfect size for cellphones and sunglasses, all those frequently used items.

I received my bag in Navy this week. Just wish it came in Grape! I love this purse. It has lots of room for everything I could think of carrying, plus my liter bottle of water. Love all of the pockets too. The leather is really nice and should stand up nicely for many years. You can't go wrong with this purse.

This bag is absolutely gorgeous!! I ordered it in the aqua color for summer, and the color is as shown online. The leather is clearly top quality and the inside (and outside) pockets are a huge bonus on such a roomy bag - and will help to keep my stuff well-organized. The shoulder strap can be adjusted to fit comfortably over a coat. Keep in mind that this is a pretty large purse, but the top of it "squishes" down like in the photo, so it doesn't look quite as big when worn. Overall, this is a beautiful bag that will enjoy many years of use!!

This has got to be the most beautiful bag I have ever owned. It's absolutely beautiful! I haven't even used it yet and I can tell it's already my all time favorite. It's also my first Dooney & Bourke and the quality shows through. Love the color too!

I love this bag! Did I say I love this bag? Very roomy, which is always what I'm looking for. And at the same time, very stylish, leather is very supple!

Gorgeous color, beautiful soft, substantial leather, and possibly just the bag for you if you like the size, which was a bit too big for me. Other reasons for returning it were that the bag doesn't stand up by itself (a deal breaker for me) and the bottom is not really wide enough for things to be easily found. I did like the shoulder strap (single and wide) and the hang length. I adore Zappos for allowing such easy ordering and returns.

I bought the small version of this bag and loved it until it was about a year old. Then then color started to flake off. Sadly I returned it to Dooney and Bourke instead of Zappos. I though they could recolor or replace the bag. Instead they offered me a credit for less than half the price of the bag towards same price bag. I have never had a finish fail on any other bag I have owned. D&B said the problem was scuffing, which was not true. A purse that is over $200 should last more than one year.

I just got mine in Aquamarine, I have to say though that I had to go two different stores to find it (sorry, Zappos, I don't really like buying online, but I go to your website to view the bags that I want, so you did really help). It is my 5th D&B bag, and I absolutely love it, it is the perfect size, not too small not too big, the perfect color, the leather is soft, not tough, the inside is gorgeous, it is just fabulous. The craftsmanship is excellent, all D & B bags that I own are long lasting; I am just waiting for the next design to come out.

This is a beautiful purchase. I am very pleased. The carmel tan color is how the picture showed. The quality of leather smells and feels wonderful. The handle is short and does not provide much room to set on the shoulder. I wear a coat often and was able to change the length of the strap to make a better fit.

Beautiful bag. Bought for (14) daughter, but she thought it wasn't quite her style. She found a hot pink purse instead. Am thinking about keeping for myself though. Fits on shoulder well and is comfortable. Leather is wonderful. Very well constructed and designed.

I really like this bag and I am very happy with my purchase. The bag looks a bit preppy, rich and sophisticated. As a stylish mother of two small children, it was important to me that the bag is modern and practical, of a high quality and durable. I went with the teal color because greenish-blue tones are in now, it draws attention and also goes with everything. The bonus was that this color was on sale. The leather is gorgeous, thick and soft. The handle strap is a little bit short but with a little adjustment it can be extended. I tried it on with a coat and it was kind of tight. Wearing a bulky jacket could be a problem. The top zip closure was very important for me. The bag is bigger than it appears in the photos. It has a lot of space for all of my items. The lining is made of a nice thick cotton with the contrasting pink and white weave. The only thing I wish it had is a cross-body strap.

Love this bag. It's a good size. I can carry my iPad If I need it.The pockets on the outside are great for easy access to my cell phone. I purchased it in taupe which works well with everything and every season. Fits nicely on my shoulder, too.

I gave this bag to my sister for her 50th birthday a couple of years ago, and I've been coveting it every since. So, this year my husband gave me one for Mother's Day. It is fabulous, the leather is soft and substantial, it smells and feels wonderful, and it "slouches" beautifully to allow for plenty of shoulder strap drop space. The morrow brown color is a very rich dark chocolate brown color. I love that it has 2 large zippered pockets on the outside -- perfect for phone, keys, shopping list... all those things you don't want to have to dig through bag to find. I have 3 or 4 other Dooney bags (including one I've had for at least 15 years), and the quality is excellent. It's a large bag, but still feels and looks more like a shoulder bag or purse than like a tote bag, probably because of it's soft silhouette. As always, we LOVE Zappos for their service and selection.

Love this purse. The color is great even richer than in the photo. It's a little bigger than I thought but holds everything and all easy to get to.

I bought this bag for my niece for Christmas. She was wowed and overwhelmed. She deserved it. She has 4 children from 2 - 14 and takes care of my mother and stepfather. She truly deserves some indulgences. She will get more in the future too.

I bought this bag in navy blue with the tan trim. This is not a medium but in the world of everything being super size I guess it is! More bag for the money. This is high end leather. I like it a lot. You can fit almost every thing in it. The only down sides I found is that you have to adjust the straps for it to fit comfortably on your shoulder. The strap can be adjusted just take your time to undo the tabs and buckles. It does take some pulling to get the tabs undone but it can be done. The other thing is that the top of the bag does not bend down or in "yet" as the picture until the leather is worn in some. It is very stiff at first then you can push the zipper part down (or slouch it down) to make more of an opening for your arm. Other than that it is a keeper. Thanks!
