Second pair I have ordered. I have wide feet and very high arch, so these are perfect - also use New Balance orthotics. Do lots of walking, 3-5 miles per day and these are great straight out of the box!

These are the best shoes I've owned for walking. I'm a senior citizen and have PTTD (my arch has almost collapsed). I wore these during a trip recently where much walking was in order. They accomodated my orthodics, and really worked well, no pain at all. I would highly recommend. They are worth the price!

Great shoes. I need a wide width and these are very comfortable for walking. Am planning to buy a second pair.

The shoes are wonderful; right on size, except a scant tad too long, which I fixed with a kleenex folded in the toe - problem is my feet, not the shoes. The appearance and quality of shoes are excellent.Service at Zappos is superb!The people are friendly, patient, and very helpful to me. I always feel as though they know me and they LISTEN - a lost art nowadays! I love Zappos!

Great shoes - nice amount of room in the toe box. Took them on a trip to Alaska and used them every day!

These shoes are awesome! They are perfect for my feet. There is a wide toe box which I need for my enlarged and arthritic toe joint (similar to a bunion but not quite that bad); the only thing I noticed is that they seem about a 1/2 size shorter than normal; I can still wear them with no problem though. I have tried many different shoes and these are so comfortable I bought a 2nd pair to keep for the future in case they change the design and not available when these wear out. Very pleased with purchase!

I never owned the precursor to this, so can't compare the change. My short, fat feet fit in this along with a heel wedge to give more arch comfort (bought wide width). Felt fine right out of the box for walking in the treadmill. There is a little heel slippage if I don't tie them tight - I attribute that to the heel wedges I put in. Since I wear Sanita's the rest of the day, I am used to a loose heel and it doesn't bother me.

This shoe (D width) has a great shape and size for my wide toes. I was sad it narrows right where my tailor's bunion sticks out!

This shoe has excellent support and is well made but beware that it runs slightly small. I have other styles of New Balance and my size 10 fits like a 9.5.

I ordered several pairs of shoes in 11 Narrow to compare; these were a half size too short and other New Balance shoes ordered in the same size were not. Even if they had fit in length, they would have been too wide for a narrow. I find the heels of the New Balance shoes (in narrow) are snug but the toe/anterior part of the shoe is not. Sadly, had to return them.

Please bring back the women's 883. I have had foot surgery and the 840 replacement is a different fit and hurts. The 883 is the only shoe that lets me walk without pain. Please ask New Balance to bring back the 883.
