This shoe is great for people with narrow width. Very comfortable and stable on the court. I have tried other New Balance narrows but not with much luck. This shoe finally hit the nail on the head. I bought three pairs to stock up. I just hope New Balance doesn't mess with this shoe!

These are the most comfortable tennis shoes I've had in years, and I'll be stocking up for the sad day when they wear out. I have very narrow feet and have been disappointed in the NB fit the past few years, but these are great. They're lightweight and my foot feels close to the ground for easy movement and great balance on the court.

I bought these for playing tennis, they are very comfortable and offer great support and stability. Great cushion of the ball of the foot.

I bought these shoes for my daughter who plays tennis 6 times a week and she loves them. New Balance makes great tennis shoes. We will get these again when they wear out.

Wow! I never expected "tennis specific" shoes to make such a difference. My feet had been bothering me every time I played tennis; after this purchase, no more problems. I forget about my feet and focus on my ever problematic forehand. My AA feet (narrow) love these shoes.

I have very narrow feet (I even wear slims when available in dress shoes) and I have an exceptionally tough time finding shoes that are really narrow. Well, this pair is it. I have them in four different colors. I play tennis (4.0 USTA rating) and they fit like a glove. They hug my feet and prevent my toenails from turning purple which has occurred in other narrow shoes. This is my first review but I thought it was important to comment on this shoe because I know how hard it is to accommodate a narrow foot. I hope New Balance does not change these shoes or I will be one disappointed customer.

I wear a narrow (2A) so finding shoes for tennis is not easy. New Balance is one of the only brands that I can find. One feature of these shoes that I like is that the tongue is stabilized on the sides with elastic so it does not slip to the side. Even though I got a 7½N, it still seems a little wide in the heel, but way better than a shoe in medium. I had previously ordered the 804 tennis shoes, which I am sending back because they looked too bulky, almost like orthopedic shoes.

Looks good but runs a little narrow...it's narrower than the NB 1005.

I have been a fan of wide width new Balance shoes for years. Imagine my excitement when there was a black style! Unfortunately, this wide width was not truly wide. I knew immediately when trying on. Since I have had such success in the past, I immediately thought it was a mis order. No, the size was labeled wide but it did not fit.

Felt flat with no arch support. Toe box just slightly too narrow. I wear a narrow but need a wider toe box for tennis. Color scheme was fun if you like raspberry. I'm so tired of pink and could we not do red or returned this shoe because I liked the Wilson one better and also I'm trying a KSwiss. I play about 4 x a week. Must be VERY comfortable and the Wilson had better heal support and arch. I wear a 8 or 8.5 N dress shoe and I ordered a 9. It fit except for issues noted.

I loved the super fast delivery, and I'm keeping the New Bal 1005 tennis shoes. But, the WC1187 shoes just don't feel comfortable, so I'm returning these. Thanks for great service!

I have been wearing a size AA width in New Balance shoes since 1975. I have loved them all, over the years, for all my various sports, activities, and just plain high-energy walking, too. These shoes are probably the best of all of them. The support these provide is awesome! They are very attractive and extraordinarily comfortable - well worth the price. They run true to size. They are so fabulous, especially with my custom-made orthotics, I also have worn them for decades. I adore these shoes and they feel great all day and night. I love the shipping policy, too - so fast and free. Zappos and New Balance rule! Trust me - you cannot go wrong with this model shoe.

Love them. I have narrow feet and have trouble finding shoes. Zappos has been the answer to my woes. These shoes fit well, are comfortable, and great on the tennis court.

My friend likes these shoes that he uses to play tennis. He finds them comfortable. But I'm not, I don't like this color and design. Its too simple. I can choose another with more color in design. :)

These shoes look is more narrow/long and sleek compared to other New Balance bulkier and wider styles. Even though it looked more narrow, the wide width fit great (and I often have problems with shoes pressing in the forefront of the foot). The color combination was quite nice. My issue with the fit was that the shoe slipped a bit in the back, an issue that I have never had. My biggest complaint with these shoes, though, was the synthetic uppers. The mesh was nice, and I liked the mesh and lacing system on the tongue. But the synthetic leather looked like cheap plastic, and looked like it could crack and not endure. That is a shame for such expensive shoes.

I'm not sure what's going on. I always wear a 9B New Balance court shoes. I've worn this shoe for about a month, and I've had two falls (one sent me to the ER for a CT scan since I fell backwards and hit my head really hard). After the second fall two weeks later, teammates asked me about my shoes (good treads since they are new). I think that they are wider and larger than the New Balance WC 900 that I had been wearing, and now I'm tripping over my feet. Before these two falls, I'd not had a fall in years, kind of scary. I have a narrow foot but have found it best to get the medium width so there's more room in the shoe. Needless to say, I scouring the internet to find another pair of WC900s since my old ones have already gone to Goodwill.

I am sure this a very nice shoe for someone who likes the traditional style of a tennis shoe. I wanted a more stylish shoe that looks more like a running she so I went with the Asics brand.

Good looking shoe, but no comfort at all. So hard, and stiff, it was like walking in the shoe box.

I've played with New Balance shoes for about 25 years, but the last 2 pairs - including these - have brought me trouble. The edge of the shoe below the inside ankle bone rubs on the ankle bone. Lots of bloody socks. To be fair, the ones before this (656) had created the problem & these hit in the same place. So these may be fine, but I'm not taking the chance.
