Was disappointed in the fit. We have bought several pairs of shoes before, in various styles, all in the size 12E. The thing that they all had in common however, was that they were made in the USA. This style however, is not. And even tho it states it is a size 12E it was much narrower than the made in USA 12E's.
The shoe itself, however seemed to be nicely made.

It's a very good looking shoe to be sure, but it definitely runs narrow so it didn't fit my feet (even the wide width was too narrow). Also, the color is closer to a royal blue than a true navy.

I'm a huge fan of NB's and these were a great addition to my collection. They are a little narrow so if you have even slightly wide feet I suggest getting the wide version of these. They're comfy and look very good.

Have not actually worn them out yet but I love the classic look and they feel comfortable just from wearing them for a few after they arrived

I'm just wearing the shoes for the first time today and they seem to fit fine. They're comfortable don't seem to be rubbing anyplace uncomfortable and I'm sure that I'll be as happy with mine as my wife has been with hers. The shipping, however, is another matter they arrived in a crushed box. Now granted, they are sneakers, but nobody wants to spend nearly hundred dollars on something that looks as if an elephant sat on it. I don't know if it was the fault of the shipper or a new balance but it was definitely a let down.

It's the New Balance version of the Saucony Jazz. Simple, classic, comfy. When crisp and new, these shoes scream, "i'm on the list, and yes this chain is real" Wear these down to the bone, stained in oil paint and mud and she will think, "he is down for whatever, let's kick it". Buy these fool, ya foolie, fool, fool.

A little unpredictable on size.
I ordered two pairs of these in different colors of the same size. (Blue and black)
Oddly, one of the pairs fit as expected, and one of them (of the same size!) was too narrow and small. (The black pair.) I had to exchange the second pair for one size larger. I think these are Asia-manufactured, they feel extremely (worryingly!) light, so I won't feel sure of the quality till they've lasted more than 6 months without breakdown.
Otherwise, the shoes look good and feel decent.

Love these shoes! New Balance has been a favorite of mine for awhile and these are no exception. Again, I'd recommend an insert if you need more arch support, but for me, it's enough to be quite comfortable. They run a tad large, but I'm fine with that because I like a little extra room in my toe box area.

I've been wearing a similar pair of New Balance sneakers (420, size 11) for years. I got these in the same size, but these felt much larger and so obviously not as snug as my previous pair. Style is awesome, though the green is less teal and more forest (picture vs real item) which was disappointing. Not comfortable, but this is likely due 100% to the large fit.

This is the my second pair of ML501s, the first have been in service for over a year of nearly every day use, and are still perfectly comfortable but not looking quite as nice. So, like all the New Balance Classics I've owned so far, their longevity has been good. On the other hand, the old pair of 501s are suede and mesh uppers, whereas these new ones (blue and yellow) are nylon and yellow uppers. The shoes are just as comfortable as the suede variant, and still looks good, though some of the edges are a bit rough, with the odd loose thread here and there. I also question if they will hold up as well as their suede counterparts. Only time will tell.

The 501's look great and feel pretty solid as well. Only the regular width were available and I sprung for them because the greys look too good. Loosened up the laces and never tie them to keep them a bit more comfy. Good, supportive shoe. Very happy for the value.

I have big feet. I've been professionally sized and my feet are not "wide" per se, just big. I do wish manufacturers would make the larger sizes with appropriate widths. I would think that at around size 12, the width would be made proportionally wider than in the smaller sizes. Anyway, great service from Zappos as always but I can't even get the shoe onto my foot. Returning. Will look for this style (which is quite flash) in a wider width.

Bought this to replace my other 501s (Width D, ripstop). It was incredibly tight on the top of my foot where it it widest. I have only had one other pair of 501s, the ones I was replacing, and they have always been super comfortable. They also felt like they might be a half size too small. These are the same exact size and width so I have no idea what happened to the manufacturing of these shoes. If you're thinking that my old shoes may have just stretched out more over time, I'm sure that I would never have bought shoes that felt this tight originally.
The only difference in the tags were the country in wich they were made. The originals were China, and these are from Indonesia. I doubt that would make any difference, but who knows.
I'm returning these to try another pair of 501s, but this time the ripstop version.
PS: the bottom neon green foam piece is kinda ugly in person. I also wish these came with white laces as alternates as well.

Very nice. Comfy, casual, I wear them to work. The only sneaker still made in America. And Zappos had them on sale.

Bought these because I read that they were built from the 574's. They are indeed. Comfortable out of the box, slightly less busy than the 574's but with the same fit.

I like the shoe, a cheaper version of the popular 574. It lacks style, however, just very plain looking. It, like most New Balance shoes, is very comfortable.

Great shoe. Very comfortable and it is very light. It goes great with shorts, however depending on what types of jeans you wear ( skinny, regular) you should consider.

Great classic New Balance sneaker! They're great for athletics because they're light but they're also casual.

Very nice look to this shoe. Very comfortable but they run a little small I would order a 1/2 size bigger.

I like the shoe, it's light and flexible. My next shoe I might want a little more leather around toe.

The color: not "blue". More like purple when you get it out in the sun.

Only lasted 3.5 months before the interior was worn through and the newly exposed material was causing blisters. I'm surprised since my general experience with New Balance had previously led me to associate them with longevity.
