Customer Reviews New Balance Classics ML501

For the past few years, I only buy EE New Balance shoes. And 9 has always been the best size. This style of New Balance seemed to run smaller, though, so I ended up getting a 9½. They are great shoes. They are stylish and the extra width is hardly noticeable in the visual design. Some wide shoes look like they ae designed for monster feet.

Fit was right on. More comfortable than expected. As always great customer service/fast order processing.

I was worried that even the wides were too narrow at first, but the shoes broke in nicely. I still get many compliments on them me they're still looking good months later. Not the most comfortable tennis shoes, but not uncomfortable either. I would buy them again.

I love NB and have had many pairs throughout the years, but these "classics" are just odd. Yes, they are good looking and I receive many compliments on them. However, even though I ordered a wide, they still feel narrow and confining, which is bizarre, because I have other medium width NB's in my closet that feel wider than these. Also, I don't have necessarily high arches, but at the end of the day, my feet feel much more fatigued in these than in my other shoes. Overall, I like these, but I'm not sure I'd order them again because of these issues.

I am a woman who often resorts to wearing men's shoes because I have an extraordinarily wide and flat foot that makes finding a good fitting pair of woman's shoes almost impossible to find. I ordered these in extra wide and they still pinched my food across the ball of the foot! My last pair of New Balance was only a wide, so I expected some pinching, but with an extra wide, I would expect that they would fit well. I was not thrilled with the look of this shoe, but was willing to sacrifice looks for comfort. I'll be returning these since I got neither.

After owning this pair and wearing them for a while I decided that they really do not ventilate well at all. The canvas portion (the color accent that wraps the shoe, specifically below the laces) has even shown sweat from casual usage and I wear UnderArmor wool/spandex socks. I do not consider myself to be an over foot-perspiring individual either. They are true to size and I do, as usual, really like the aesthetics. They are just not the most conforming materials. I like my 574s better. They are clothier.

What's become of New Balance. This is the second different pair that's a good size smaller than the 9.5 ee I have always bought from them. I must return them to Zappo's when I get back from the trip I was hoping to wear them on.It's too bad. I think my brand loyalty is done. Who's next?

I love the NB 856 as I have a foot injury from VN. I have been in pain for sometime and the 856 is wonderful for that. However the classics ML501 does not have the same cushioning as as the 856. If I did not have an injury I believe the classics would be fine. They are well made and light.

I hate being the guy that has to give a pair of shoes a bad review, but these are easily the least comfortable shoes I've ever owned. If I lace them up as tight as I can, they're fine. But that lasts a solid 20 minutes before my feet start to slide around and I end up walking on my instep. I've had these shoes for a few months now and they started out fine. My feet hurt constantly in these things, and I can't wait to get rid of them.

No support, cheap feeling, not worthy of the New Balance name. I will return.

Even though these are marked a 14, these are actually a 13 and are very uncomfortable.

These shoes are SO COMFY!!! They were my first pair of New Balance and Im so glad I took the plunge. I now bought my second pair and absolutely love the brand!

I have a pair of New Balances that needed replacing. I love the hunter green color. It matches most of my everyday attire. They are very comfortable and easy to wear all day. I highly recommend them!

I do not regret that I bought they are very comfortable and in General is my favorite brand
