These are lightweight (on top) sandals with thick soles. The thing to know about these sandals is they are adjustable. One reviewer complained that the straps make the sandals too wide. They are - when you take them out of the box - but the straps are continuous - all you need to do is pull them tight in the direction. of the strap. As an adult with kid sized feet, I like that the strap near the ankle is angled instead of straight across the way most kids shoes are. Visually more appealing.

I am pleased with these Chacos! Size 6 in kids is perfect for those who fit in a typical 7.5 to 8 Women’s. They are just as comfortable as the adult. It took some time finding the right adjustment for them...but once I did, they fit great!

For us the instep was too narrow and the buckle uncomfortable. But cute sandals!

This is the first time we've purchased Chacos for my daughter. She has a dainty foot, we found that the straps were a bit big on her since her foot isn't wide or doesn't have much height/thickness to it. Even as tight as can be made, they are just a tiny bit loose on her and then the excess strap just dangles around. She decided she liked them enough to keep them, but I wish there was a way to get them slightly more snug and a way to tie up the strap better than just rubber banding it.

Wished they would have fit. Super cute but my kids feet are too narrow and could not get the straps any tighter to make them fit. The heel strap is too big and cannot be adjusted. If that was adjustable then the shoe would fit, but how it is now it is not good for kids feet.

Unfortunately the toe strap was way to big and is not adjustable therefore have to return. Disappointed as my daughter loved the sandal.

Loved this item, however after less than 2 months of light wear the main straps have frayed to the point that they are hanging on by a single string. Since Chacos is all about customer satisfaction I attempted to file a warranty claim, but was told frayed straps is part of normal wear and tear. The sole of the sandal still looks to be almost brand new and these were only worn for a few months by my child who is not rough on her shoes I am utterly disappointed! These are way to expensive to wear out in that short period of time. I also bought a pair for my son, he has worn his quite a bit and is very tough on his shoes and his still look great! I believe the PURPLE ORCHID fabric is defective or not substantial enough for the double strap design and would avoid getting it! Additionally PURPLE ORCHID is no longer available for rechaco'ing so should you need to replace the straps you will have to pay to restrap both sandals.

So cute, but unwearable due to the huge gaping strap that runs the width of the shoe. Returning them. You could fit a second foot inside the strap. My daughter's feet are normal, not wide, not skinny. There is no way it is supposed to be like this.

These shoes are cute, but do not fit well. The straps near the toes are super loose. The top strap when tightened hangs on the ground? They fit in the length. A strange fit over all.

I love the kids Chacos, much lighter and more comfortable than my old pair of adult Chacos (I would say the Big Kid 6 fit is in between the adult women’s 7 and 8, but with a thinner sole). Do NOT believe the reviews that say the straps are too loose and not adjustable—just go to the Chacos website and watch the video on how to adjust. The straps do take a bit of work to get right but the reason you have to really pull to move them is so that they will stay in place once they’re adjusted perfectly to your foot.

Love these. I wear a Women’s 6.5 tennis shoe and the 4 big kids fits me perfectly.

Bought them for myself, I usually wear a women’s 8.5 and wanted to try the youth size so I could have a pair just like my daughter. Length-wise they are perfect, but width wise they are a bit tight. I do have ‘fluffy’ feet. Gonna wear them this weekend and see if they’ll work out.

Second season buying a pair of chacos for my kiddo and I’ll do it again next year. They’re so durable but fit like a sneaker and allow for movement and activity. They’re the best. They look so cute on and will last spring/summer/fall.

They were just what I wanted.

My daughter LOVES them, and she can put them on and take them off by herself. The pull-tabs are a bit long, but it's okay.

Love the look and the fit. I normally wear a 2 1/2 but the 2 fit perfectly.

Love these!! I wear a women’s 6 and ordered a 4. I also got a black pair. They fit great and are so comfortable. I wear them everyday. We hike a lot and they’re great for hiking and being in streams and water.
