Have you ever had to stop running because your feet were hurting? Or you couldn't wait to make it to that 3 mile mark so you can stop because of uncomfortable shoes? That has never happened to me in my Asics Gel-Pulse 3. I started out buying Asics, then tried a few other brands, and ended up going back to Asics because no brand was the same. I do a lot of running and training for sports, so I wear these shoes for long distance runs, sprints, and short lateral movements/change of direction. No matter what type of workout I'm doing my Asics always make it as comfortable as possible. The shoe is very roomy in the toe area so my toes never felt crammed together. They have a lot of cushioning on the heel which helped for running and jogging. These shoes are very durable as well, I put these shoes through a lot and I only buy 2 or 3 of them in a year. The downfall to these shoes are that they aren't very aesthetically pleasing. I bought another pair of tennis shoes to wear for day to day use that are a lot cuter. These are great for runners and athletes.

One of the things I most like about Asics and especially the Pulse series is their consistency. This was my third Gel-Pulse and they have consistently maintained sizing and the cushion level. Other features I particularly like are the low cut around the ankle bone and it is one of the few shoes that fit my narrow heels well enough. I like the large amount of mesh, keeping the shoe breathable. This shoe doesn't have too much cushioning and the arch support is just right for me.

These are the best running shoes that I have ever worn. I have a high arch and plantar fasciitis and this shoe supports my arch and cushions my feet very well. I will never go back to Nike.

Love this shoe, however, with this style of Asics I had to order a half size bigger than I normally wear. Also, with a discontinued style of Asics I did not have to add extra arch support, with this one I do. Not as flat as some other shoes but definitely not as much arch support as I need with my heel spurs.

Very comfortable for walking/running/working out. I have very wide feet, and these shoes are flexible enough to be comfortable. They also have room to accommodate orthotics, which is great. I would recommend ordering up a full size - Even my short toes needed more room than was provided by my usual 7. Ordered an 8 and it fits great all around.

I am an avid runner and usually log at least 20 miles per week and I have been pretty loyal to Ascics. These shoes felt comfortable at first, but about 2 miles in I started to feel a pressure point in the ball of my foot. I could feel the support structure of the shoe through the padding and it actually caused my toes to go numb. Not good. I'm going back to the Gel Nimbus.

I bought these on a podiatrist's advice when I was having foot problems. I have since developed knee problems due to these shoes. I am sure they may be great for some people but not for me. After having worn them for a few weeks I only wish I could return them. I am not sure that there is anything inherently wrong with these shoes, it seems to be fairly lightweight and comfortable enough to walk around in, but if you are going to buy running shoes for more than trips to the grocery store, do not buy them from a website unless you have already worn that style before. Now that my old style is out of production, I am going back to my local running store to buy a new pair. These are now going to collect some, very expensive, dust in my closet.

I was comfortable at first but after about 1/2 hour my feet were killing me. They are nice looking I am trying desperately to find a comfortable sneaker.

love the jel! I run about 12miles a week on treadmill and these are great. They are a little snug and I will go up 1/2 a size next time but even tight they are still comfortable. I switched from Addidas and an 8 was good.I will be getting the Asics again!

The Asics Gel Pulse 3 shoes are great for my knee issues. I have to wear shoes with cushion to reduce impact of aerobic activities due to past knee surgeries. These are perfect. I have one pair for everyday use and one I use for working out. For me these fit true to size as Nike's fit are too narrow for my feet. Colors on the red/pink dark gray shoes appear the same as in picture vs. other reviewers comments.

I love Asics shoes and these are no exception. They are great for outdoor and indoor use. They provide nice arch support and fit true to size. These running shoes are great if you have medium width feet.

I always buy ASICS, but am always hesitant to purchase shoes online. These fit like all of the other ASICS I bought at retail locations in the past so I was pleased. This was my first time shopping at Zappos and will continue to buy my gym shoes at this website. I couldn't find the colors I wanted at the stores so that is why I gave Zappos a shot.

These are absolutely my shoes of choice for work. The main function of my job is walking for 10 hours. They exceed the demands made on them. The mesh keeps my feet cool, and the inserts are like walking on marshmallows. Like most agree, though, Asics generally run half a size small. I have several pairs of these, and alternate them just to give a pair a chance to dry out inside. The thing is, the Gel Pulse hasn't yet yet begun to wear out. My first pair has been in use for 9 months. The lasting, soles and laces have held up great. My only wish is that Asics made replacement inserts.

I have been running in Asics for years but they are not all made the same; you pay for what you get! I bought the storm/plum color because I got an amazing deal through Zappos and while they're super cute, they are not super comfortable. I need a lot of cushion/support when I run and the Pulse's did not have that. I usually replace my shoes every 6 months and I probably could have replaced these at 3, I've never had shoes that lacked comfort so much that it actually hurt to run in them. I will suck it up and pay the extra for Kayano's or Cumulus' from now on...it's worth it!

I have worn Kayanos for over a decade but 2 years ago the sizing became too big in the normal width and a bit too narrow in the 2a. These are just right. Now I just have to put them to the test. I run about 25 miles a week (treadmill). And with Kayanos I would get stress fractures if I didn't replace them fast enough -- let's see how these hold up. I will update once I have broken them in. And FYI I just love Zappos. I haven't walked into a shoe store in over 6 years and will never do so again. I'm yours forever.

I used to wear New Balance, but these are so comfortable, ASICS is now my favorite brand. Great arch support, very cushion-y.

I love Zappos! I have been having foot problems and have had trouble finding a pair of shoes that feels good. I am heavy, have plantar fasciitis in one foot and I am on my feet all day. I have actually bought two pair of shoes at local shoe stores and returned them. I have ordered at least 5 pairs of shoes from Zappos and have had to return them but these are Keepers. I have worn them straight all week and they have supported me and my bad foot making me free of pain for the first time in months. Since I wear size 11 it's very hard to have choices in stores but Zappos makes it so easy to find a pair of shoes.

These were my first Asics running shoes! I am a Saucony lover, but was having issues finding what I wanted, in a color I liked in a good price range. So far these shoes have been great for walking, jogging and running. I have not been able to put a good hunk of miles down at a time yet, but I am sure they will be as comfortable as they feel after a day of walking or 1-2 mile jog. Overall I am very happy with these Gel-Pulses. I did find them cheaper elsewhere, but wanted a different color and Zappos come through for only a little bit more. Zappos service is the best so I was not worried about any exchanges.

Great shoe! I have pre-existing knee and back injuries and I've just picked back up on my running. I tried the Gel Kahana, the Gel Kayano, and the Gt-2170. The Pulse has more cushioning, which I need. Very comfortable shoe that required no break-in period. I also compared this shoe against other similar shoes from Nike, Saucony, and Mizuno - this was the best for my feet. I have high arches and insteps and I am a moderate overpronator.

Very comfortable and great for jogging but one of the lace loop holes broke early on and a second is on its way to tearing. Will not buy sneakers again with lace loop holes that are cloth and not thru the sneaker.

It seems like a good sneaker. I haven't tried to destroy them yet, but they seem like they have the potential to hold up well. I hope that the support structure inside the sneakers stays the way it is now.

I'm basically writing this review to address Asics sizing. I have an older pair of Asics and 9.5 fits fine. In the new styles (all of them!) I am at least 10.5 and usually 11! Crazy since I'm 8.5 in a dress shoe or sandal. This shoe seems to run at least a size small and most likely a size and a half. Plan accordingly.
