I am a moderate mileage, muscular (5'4 at 170 lb) woman who runs both dirt and asphalt, hills and flats, and I was looking for a shoe that would provide lots of cushioning and support for 10 mile runs. I found the fit to be good, the ride to be responsive, and the lacing to be a little bit awkward since the tongue fits in between the side gussets and can slip out easily. What I expected for the price was a superior shoe to my favorite, the Gel Nimbus. I was disappointed. The Kinetic has a strong medial support that fights over-pronation but does not prevent it. I was left with sore spots on my outer right foot. I am uncertain if the shoe caused it because I already have some running mechanic difficulties. But it feels like the shoe is fighting with my foot and trying to reshape my gait, whereas the Nimbus simply cradles, supports, and protects. I think the shoe is overpriced, and although I will still use it for shorter runs and interval training and tempos, I will go back to my Nimbus shoes for the majority of my runs and especially the longer runs. The Kinetic is a fine shoe; it just doesn't provide the cushioning I need.

I felt these run maybe a half size bigger than my other Asics which I can't remember the style. I ended up keeping them anyway and now I feel like I should've returned them for a.smaller size..these may be too big, but they are definitely a great running sneaker.

I run about 30/40 miles a week and love Asics. After running in these, it's difficult to run in anything else because everything else pales in comparison! They are very comfy, and have lasted me a long time.

This shoe is awesome, I was waiting for an AFO Brace and an arch support insert to come in from my foot doctor when I ordered this shoe to get me through till they came in and this shoe helped immensely! I tore my tibial tendon in my foot which is the main tendon that connects from the tibial leg bone to the foot and is responsible for creating the arch in your foot and this shoe was a lifesaver or should I say foot saver!! Now, I wear the AFO brace and inserts in this shoe and they both fit and work great thanks ASICS for this top notch shoe.

This shoe is worth the extra money in my opinion. I run about 30 miles a week and love the comfort and support of the Gel-Kinetic! Heed this warning: once you start running in these, you won't be able to go back to the lesser expensive models. I was a fan of the third generation of this shoe and think the fourth is just as good if not better. I also was pleased that the color was a true pink as opposed to the neon orange looking appearance on my PC screen. And Zappos' order fulfillment is nothing short of a logistical miracle!

I love these shoes. The design of the heel to pull in when you lace up makes it fit perfect every time. The cushion in the foot bed is awesome.

Love Asics and ever since I tried my first pair on, have never looked back. I agree with the first reviewer that the heel is broader than previous ones, so if you have a narrow heel like mine these might be a little loose with thin running socks. I usually wear the reinforced socks so not really as much of an issue. Otherwise great shoe.

Not as good as the Asics Gel Kinetic 3, feels sloppy and I really don't like the new lacing configuration. I have these in both colours because I run a minimum 60 miles per week so I burn through shoes rather quickly. The Kinetic 3 was much better, but unfortunately, no longer available.

Great looking design, but does not fit as well as the Gel-Kinetic 3. It is still the same very comfortable footbed and stability, however the heal was redesigned and it is very bulk at the top of the heal and is wider on the lower heal. It doesn't hug the heal like all the other Asics I have ever owned. These are going back and I am sticking with the Gel-Kinetic 3.

The shoes are the best. They are comfortable and they fit like a glove. I had foot surgery a few years ago and I need a show that gives great support. I just bought a new pair after my old Asics gave out after 2 years of every day wear. Love them! They may not be the trendiest shoes out there, but they make up for it in comfort.

This has become my favorite running shoe! I have always favored Asics but this one is truly the most comfortable for my average of 20-30 mile weeks.

Extremely happy with! Very comfortable from the time I put them on and started running. No problem w/breaking in. No issues with rubbing or blisters from first time wear. I have been extremely happy with Asics as I need a wide toe box, support, and comfort, and the GK-4 has been great. Disappointed when I couldn't find the Gel-3, so purchased these and have been way happy.

Love these shoes. I bought them last year in a store, but they no longer carry them. So, I was happy to find them on Zappos. The shoe is great for a narrow foot, lots of cushion and support, and good fit. The coral color is perfect for this spring. You'll want a bigger than normal size. I typically wear a 8 1/2 - 9 and purchased a 9 1/2 in this shoe.

Great shoes, very cushioned. They're a little heavy though. And also sometimes the top of my big toe will hurt after a long run, may be due to the fit of the shoe. Really cute colors, a bright bright pink and I've gotten loads of compliments on them already.

I bought these to replace the previous model. This time around, they feel clunky and not nearly as comfy. Good enough for work but no way can I run in these.

I give these zero stars! The toe box is so huge, my toes just flop around and I look like I have clown feet. My feet are not narrow--by any stretch. Yet, I have to lace these up so much they pucker. And what's with these mile-long shoe laces? I have to tie them in a bow twice! Initially, they felt comfortable. But after running in them a few times, my ankles became very tender from these jumbo shoes hitting abnormally high on my ankles creating an internal bruised feeling causing a lot of pain long-term. What a waste of money! I do not recommend these awful, giant shoes!

I have been an avid gym rat (teach BodyAttack, high impact sports aerobics) these shoes are BY FAR the best shoes for high impact classes! I have been using Asics for years, from Kayanos, then found out needed orthodics, so I started using Nimbus (going through 5+ per year because of how much teaching) but these Kinetics have lasted more than twice as long as other Asics. my Orthodics fit perfectly in these too (mine were custom made from a Nimbus and Kayanos, they all fit fine) but I started having my feet hurting WITH my orthodics while teaching (in all my 3 different pairs of shoes I was rotating), SO I took OUT the orthodics, and still used the neutral Kinetics, and my foot is fine (I think my feet were trained/corrected with Orthodiocs to the point of not needing them, but I thought that I would need to go back to Kayanos, but these Kinetics has surprised me again. I never find these shoes in stores, so you really just have to buy these, and take the gym to test them out, and you will be sold. I find the toe box to fit like my old Nimbus 12 did. (13 or 14, can't remember which ones, hurt my feet a lot). Try these!!
I'd also recommend:
Asics Kayano, Brooks Adrenaline, NB1080v2 (for not quite as high impact)

The above Asics are one of the most comfortable running shoes I have purchased in a long time. Because of Zappos free shipping both ways I have recently got two of my friends to start using Zappos! Thank you Zappos! Connie

I bought these after developing metatarsalgia, forefoot pain. They have plenty of room in the toe box and good arch support and padding, but for my condition if I am going to jog or wear them all day I need an extra pad on the forefoot.

This shoe is fine to wear with shorts, but, if you wear with longer yoga pants (lululemon), you will be tripping all the time. The break in the gel heel catches the longer portion of the pants and is very dangerous. I am buying my next pair without the break in the gel heel that allows for the pants to get caught in there. I am actually pretty surprised that noone else has complained about this yet.

I bought these to wear running and to aerobics classes. I have a very wide foot and these are way too wide in the toe box! The heel fits well. The trouble is that my foot slides around when I make any fast movement, and I lose my balance. I am keeping them because I will wear them in the colder months with thick socks, maybe they will work that way. But for the summer they will be on the shelf!
