I love my Cortez. I have worn these type of Nike since 1980 & they are still the best.

We live on an island off the coast of N J. When they said the package would come the next day, I questioned it. But there it was. My husband has wore these same athletic shoes for 30 years. Perfect, same quality, same fit, same shoe.

I purchased the Nike Cortez Leather in White with a black swoosh. First off before writing this review I want to say that I have wide feet. Usually wear size 9.5W. That being said I had to return two pairs of these before I got the right size, because of course they do not come in wide width. I have contacted Nike design team with this idea to make wide width but that's beside the point. These shoes run small to fit. Both narrow and length. I had to order size 10.5 D even though I'm a 9.5W. Other than the sizing and width these shoes look awesome. And I mean like the classic swagger type awesome. People have commented many times on how cool these shoes look. They are retro looking and are very stunning. I recommend this shoe highly, but get at least a half size bigger than you normally are.

When Zappos said they were "ol skool" I had no freaking idea it was a gang thing. Ain't nobody got time for that in NYC. Famous gangster shoes or not, they are not sized like any Nike's. Tight as hell and worst purchase on here ever. Order at least 1/2 size bigger and buy a Glock if you want to wear there.

I have three other pairs of Nike size 13 that fit perfectly. The 13 of this shoe was far to small. Exchanged for a size 14 and all is well. Size up!

Classic and simple design. I took the plastic "cortez '72" badge off the shoelaces and they look even better. To those with wider feet: order a full size larger. I'm usually a 12 and I first ordered a 12.5, which were still too snug, but the 13's fit great. Nike's shoes are pretty consistent size-wise but for some reasons these ones are not true to size.

Runs very small. Exchanging these for probably two sizes bigger. Love the look, so will have to get another size and hope they fit. I wear a women's 10 in tennis shoes so I ordered Men's 8 - they feel like a women's 8.

Husband has been a fan of Nike since the 80's but these shoes are nothing like what he wore back then. Much like I am finding in women's athletic shoes is that the shoes are getting a little more narrow every year. We know our bodies change over time but this is a trend I we have heard and read about for a while now. It surely has to do with brands trying to make things cheaper yet charge the same or more. Also, hubby said that these shoes felt cheap and that the leather did not feel real like his old pairs back in the day. Even after buying multiple sizes of this shoe he is looking for a different brand and returning these and the other sizes.

High quality material. Not as comfortable as my Nike Tail Winds, but then again they are half the price. Would not recommend to people with leg or knee issues. Very little in the way of support and comfort.

Great service! Got my shoes within a few days time... I am a woman, and since they didn't have these shoes in woman's sizes, I went by the charts and compared sizes. I got the perfect match! I'm happy I went through Zappos, saved me time and money. I would definitely recommend Zappos to a friend; in fact, I already have! The same day I got my Nike Cortez, I convinced my best friend to get herself a pair of Nike's too! We both got our shoes within the same 2 days. Zappos is awesome! More about the shoes, they are man's shoes, so the ankle opening seems a little wider than my woman's Nike Cortez that I have in white. None-the-less I love my new shoes. I am a size 8 in woman's and ordered a size 7 in man's for this shoe and it was spot on! Perfect fit.

Great shoe. I'm size 14, little snug but still feels good. I have a problem with other Nike's, but this shoe makes my feet feel good and comfortable. I recommend them.

Great running shoes. They did take awhile to break in but hey feel great. I was going to use these just for casual wear, but since that do look pretty slim I use them for running now. Feel great and really easy to clean! I had mud on them and it easily came off unlike other shoes that are impossible to get out stains.

Great shoes! I've been wearing them for years now. Great for anyone who has a narrow foot. I like shoes where my feet don't slide side to side.

Comfortable, stylish. Good shoe. No arch support. Wouldn't recommend for working out, but great for walking around.

I absolutely love these shoes; they are my favorite ever. They feel great and are incredibly comfortable for walking all day. They've been durable as well, as I've had one pair for for over 2 years and just ordered another in a slightly different look. Overall, it's just a great, simple, classic shoe.

Quality of shoe was excellent but I usually wear size 13 so I ordered 14 hoping it would be roomy, but I found the width a bit snug and the length just right instead of larger

I purchased these in a 10 for my daughter to use for Cheerleading. She normally wears an 11 women's. These were similar and not a narrow. They are leather with suede heel and toe. She loves them and they are comfortable. I wish they had this in all leather with better arch support even for an everyday shoe.

These shoes are the best! I bought my first pair in 1989, and these feel the same after all these years. They are Very comfortable. I wore them to work today and had a few people say they were nice and asked where I got them. I hope Zappos keeps them in stock for years to come. I will always buy them.

This shoe is an old classic, and my son won't wear anything else. So glad that I can find it at Zappo's! Staff was very helpful in clearing up a glitch in the description. My order always arrives in the shortest time possible. Consistently best online shopping experience.

Great shoes. I bought these for myself (woman) because I couldn't find my size in these colors in woman's sizing. I am usually a size 9.5-10 in woman's. I purchased these in size 8.5 in mans and they fit perfect.

The Cortez aka dopemans are one of my fave shoes besides the chucks, they run small in a 9.5 had to return them for a 10. I use these for mountain biking. Good grip on sole!
