I've been buying the Alvord style Nikes for many years. Now Nike has decide to add a piece of fabric that runs from the arch to the tongue of the shoe and it rubs my arch, very annoying. I will not buy any more shoes with this piece of fabric sewn into the shoe. Very dissapointed.

Very uncomfortable! I love Nike brand and Nike shoes but these shoes are not in line with Nike standards in my opinion. Very tight and the back of the shoes comes up to my ankle. I could not get them off quick enough after a 4 mile walk!

True to form I had to send these back to get half a size bigger. Nike always runs small and narrow. After the exchange these shoes fit great. They are really comfortable and the color is super cute, too.

I absolutely love these shoes! I never had so many compliments given to me on a pair of running shoes. They are very comfortable, just like walking on air! I tried on the 9 and the 10 in a store, both did not feel right. The 9½ was perfect for me, so they run true to size!

These are a great shoe and are holding up to the abuse I put on them outside each day. I have a high arch so a little more arch support would be nice. I am a fan of Columbia shoes but these are much lighter and cost less so a very good alternative.

I love these shoes! I really did not want black but I really needed some 7 1/2 wide trail runners and there are not so many choices. So I got these anyway, the price is right enough, and they are so much cuter than in the photo. More importantly, they are so very comfortable right out of the box. They are the perfect depth all around, no rubbing. The tongue laces up all the way so there is no shifting. One delightful little thing is the shoestrings stay tied, joy joy, something about the fabric for the strings just works. I can't really speak to the arch support because I use orthotics and I have to say the innersole of these shoes looked dreadfully thin. Otherwise, they are fabulous. I haven't worn Nikes for years because they didn't run wide enough and now I can't wait to buy more.

Great looking shoe, trying them on at home and they are already killing my feet.

Not crazy about this shoe. I have worn size 9.5 Nike running shoes forever...and these ones just don't feel like they are ever broken in. Very snug across the top mid portion of my foot -- so much so that when I'm walking my sock slides in between my toes because it can't move with my foot. The style is nice but I almost dread putting these on -- and instead go with an older Nike running shoe.

If you are looking for a comfortable shoe, these are not it. They hurt just to walk in. I wouldn't even want to see how they felt after running on a trail.

Don't buy these shoes. They are short, narrow and the plastic in the back dug into my feet so bad they were bleeding. This is after I wore then for a total of 10 minutes walking with socks on. Obviously I returned them.

These are great shoes! Beautiful bright color! Have extremely high arches, so put some inserts in, but otherwise extremely comfortable...these are my day to day athletic shoes! I love them!

I have had about three pairs of the Air Alvord 9 and I love them. They have just the right amount of support needed for my feet and frame - as much as everyone loves those Bike Frees nowadays (my husband claims they are like running on marshmallows), I need a little more support so I am staying old school with the Air Alvord style shoe. I really like the Air Alvord 9 better than the Air Alvord 10 - the differences are primarily cosmetic but I am a chick after all - and of course the 10 is the successor to the 9 so tough luck for me. I sure wish Nike kept their styles around a little longer than they do. But anyway, bottom line is I love the Air Alvord 9 and went from being a non-runner to running 4.2 miles on a regular basis on these bad boys (over several months, naturally). I would buy these again if I could find them.

These shoes are not the prettiest in my closet, but I have beaten them up and they still look almost new. I have worn them in snow, rain, sleet, mud, you name it, and someone they always come clean. Even more impressive, in my opinion, is that when my fellow bootcampers shoes started falling apart at the end of the season, and they were complaining about cold feet on early November mornings in Michigan, my shoes were still together and my feet were warm. These shoes are wider than most Nikes, which I personally liked.

I had a pair of the Alvord 8 and I loved them so buying them again was a no brainer. The Alvord 9 was completely revamped with some sort of elastic in the interior and the toes were much too tight. I bought my usual size and they feel small. One shoe is tighter than the other. Not happy with these at all. Would return them if I had the original box, which I threw away thinking they were they same shoe as I had before. Very disappointing.

Okay, I know these aren't expensive shoes, but I expected a little more from Nike. After about a month of wearing (walking) they started to show signs of wear. I should have returned them then. I put them away and just brought them out again to find that the sole is coming apart from the top of the shoe. Be forewarned. These aren't worth the money. I've bought cheaper sneakers that have lasted longer. Really disappointed.
