I purchased these for my husband and he loved them from the minute he saw them! He did say they were really stiff when he first put them on. Within an hour of owning them - he headed to driving range and said they loosened up quickly. He then wore them to play golf that week and said they were awesome! He is super picky too and has a narrow foot. They look wide - but they tighten up really well so a narrow foot can wear them too. Highly recommend...plus you will be stylin'!

These are good looking and really comfortable. They also have great grip for a golf shoe without being too sticky.

I played in a tournament a few days before purchasing these shoes, and had severe blisters on my feet. The next weekend I broke these bad boys out, and it was a night and day experience. They were like golfing in pillows! Clean look, fantastic feel, and very comfortable to walk in. I also felt like Rickie Fowler on the links (not quite)! I definitely recommend them.

It's not for every round but certainly a nice combo of lightweight, comfort and style.

I really wanted to like this shoe, but they are just too uncomfortable. I agree with the previous review that they are a bit like chuck taylors in appearance, but they are more sturdy shoe than that. The biggest issue to me was the width of the shoe, which was much too wide near the front for me. And the thin tongue on the shoe which was just a strip of canvas. When you laced up the shoe tight the tongue would bunch up and was so uncomfortable. I love the look of the shoe, but they just don't feel good on.

These shoes look great on line but not so much in person. Additionally, they are very flimsy. Imagine playing golf in Chuck Taylors with soft spikes.

I absolutely hate the conclusion that I've come to, but these are being returned today. The 917s are the coolest looking golf shoes I've ever purchased but their fit is unacceptable. These are, without a hint of exaggeration, the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever put on. I've read the reviews of people saying that they only take a couple of rounds of pain before they break in to an acceptable comfort level. Well, at this price, an acceptable comfort level to me is comfort out of the box. I personally just don't see it happening. I'm wearing them now, just walking around the house and it seriously feels as if I'm wearing wooden shoes. I've adjusted the laces each and every way but they remain super stiff and painful. There is zero cushion around the ankle or on the tongue. No joke, there is zero padding on the tongue. I also have to comment that they seem much heavier than I would have imagined. In conclusion, I hope Puma has been taking note of all of these bad reviews and making changes to the next version of the 917s. Make the fit of these even remotely tolerable, and you have a winner. Again, great look, terrible feel. I'm very disappointed.

Great shoes. The first pair I ordered were to small and even though I had worn them, Zappos replaced completely free of charge. They are super light and super comfortable, plus you can take the cleats out or adjust them.

These are terrible! These shoes have given me blisters on both feet by the end of the first hole every time I have worn them. The heel of the shoe comes up too high.
