I ordered this shoe and the Stuart Weitzman Alix to do a comparison. Although there were small details in the Alix sandal that were nicer, it was a no-brainer to return the Stuart Weitzman shoe. The Steve madden version was practically the same, and a lot less expensive. For an espadrille sandal, I don't think that the Stuart Weitzman is worth it. The Steve Madden version is great!

Great pair of shoes, you won't regret it. If you're looking for an even cheaper alternative, the Steve Madden Finley wedge is less.

Love these shoes - they look just like the expensive ones worn by Jennifer Aniston. They're very high, but surprisingly comfortable and easy to walk in. Love 'em!

These shoes are well made and beautiful! Perfect! I had been wanting the Stuart Weitzman 'Alex' Espadrille Sandal and these are a great look a like shoe for a lot less money.

I have purchased many pairs of shoes from Zappos and this is my first review because in my opinion, these Steve Madden Sandals are an A+. I thought long and hard about spending a lot for the Stuart Weitzman sandals and opted to order one pair of these fabulous shoes. I love them: they are classic, high quality, stunning looking, rich looking, and almost identical to the SW shoe which costs four and one half times more. I ordered a second pair and am grateful to Steve Madden for offering this stunning shoe at a most reasonable price. Two things to note: they run big so order a half size smaller than usual and I agree with the other reviews who say that the ankle strap is small. That said we can poke a hole in this strap to extend but I have fairly small ankles and the last hole is a tad tight. Enjoy these shoes, I cannot wait till Spring to wear them.

I read all the reviews before I bought these lesser expensive copy of the famous SW's that Jen Aniston was sporting all last summer. I really loved the look, but was not keen on spending so much for shoes that I'll probably only wear a few nights out. I got these (from Zappos of course, because they rock!) the other day, and have tried them on a couple times around the house and I love them! So adorable and super comfy! I wish the buckle was silver/nickel, but the gold works too. Yay...thanks, Zappos!

I love this shoe! It's so comfortable. I wore it all day at school, up and down stairs, etc. and never had a problem. It looks great in person, and Steve Madden is always high quality. I am usually a 9.5, and had to get a 10 because they were out of 9.5 in the color I wanted. Because of the way the straps hug your feet, both worked, and I love them!

Like others, I tried on and was set to purchase the SW Alex...ordered these to see how they compared and was very pleased with the comparison. I love SW but for a casual shoe this one is a great alternative! Huge price differential - not so much for looks, fit and comfort. Certainly worth a look...I purchased the Khaki and as soon as they came, I tried to order in the black as well. That good. Too bad they are sold out. I agree with the other poster - don't hesitate!

Love this wedge, mine arrived several days ago. This sandal runs bigger than normal. I normally wear size 6.5 but size 6 fit my feet perfectly. It's also comfortable. I've been looking for cute wedge like this and finally I found it. Can't wait to wear this super cute wedge in spring when the weather gets warm.

I just ordered these in khaki last night and UPS already delivered them! I love them! They are super comfy and fit me true to size. I am so glad I found them because I was about to bite the bullet and get the SW pair, I like these even more. Thanks Zappos for being the bomb!

So much cuter in person! Around the ankle is pretty tight so if you have a thicker ankle this shoe may not work for you. Really comfortable and cute with everything.

I love this shoe. It is my new go-to sandal. I found the strap to be a little tight around the ankle initially, but after a couple of wears, it fits perfectly. So comfortable and cute!

I bought these beautiful shoes from Zappos because I love their service, value, and quick shipping. These are as beautiful as I thought, except they do not stay on your foot. If it was not for the fact that you stand in them they would fall off your foot. The only thing keeping them on is the thin front strap just behind your toes. The crossover strap is at your ankle and does nothing to hold your foot in the shoe. darn it, I love these but they were scary to walk in. Good quality, 5" heel, at least! I will try to wear them around the house and see!

Very cute shoe--perfect for summer. I did find the ankle straps to be a bit snug, but not uncomfortably so, and they'd reached a good level of comfort for me by the 2nd or 3rd wear. The sole is a little stiff, but overall, a good, sturdy, solid shoe--perfect for the beach, BBQs, movie dates, etc.

I have this pair in another color. The sizing was different from one pair to another. This fits a little snugger but with wear they're starting to stretch out a little.

These are not the best quality shoes for the price. The strap was already looking like it was falling apart but I kept them anyway. They run pretty much true to size, maybe it runs a little wider which is fine with me because I have slightly wider feet. The strap would not work on women with larger ankles. I have very skinny ankles and I have to put it on the first hole. They are comfortable to walk in even though I don't wear heels on a daily basis. They look amazing with the flare jeans that are so in right now.

Really cool looking. Liked the materials. Seemed sturdy. Size of 9 is true for length but narrow at toe area. Have to return. :(

I concur with those who have some issues with the tightness of the straps. I am one who usually has to add holes to make ankles straps on shoes tighter because my ankles are thinner, but with these, I need to add one to make them looser. I do usually take an 8½ in Madden shoes, so maybe if I had done that, the strap would fit better. As it is, my heel is just at the end of the foot bed of shoe, so it is a perfect fit in that regard it seems. Maybe it will loosen up after some wear. Otherwise I will just have to add an extra hole.

These shoes are super cute and fit well. They are true to size and I wear a narrow 8. My only complaint is a minor one in that the holes for the buckles do not match in position. So one shoe is buckled on the second hole and the other is buckled on the first hole. Other than that, they are comfortable and go with just about everything.

I got these after looking at the Alex by Stuart Weitzman. Although they are nearly identical you can see the slight difference in quality and feel the moderate difference in comfort. The Alex is more comfortable at the toe strap because the leather is softer and doesn't pinch. Despite the slight compromise I am glad I went with these as the price difference is substantial and I will only wear these for one season. Hope this helps.

Great knock off of SW, but the front is a little wide; had to add an foot pad. Absolutely no issues with the ankle strap though, and I have very small ankles. Getting lots of compliments from people assuming they're the real thing!
