I bought these boots over a year ago because I loved the style and because the shaft of the boot was wide enough to fit around my calves, which while not that big are just muscular enough to sometimes give me trouble with boots. I absolutely love the look of these boots, they're so cute, and of course waterproof. In fact I loved the look of these boots so much that I kept them and kept trying to wear them even though it soon became clear that they just are not very comfortable at all. I tend to be between a 9½ and a 10 in size, so I usually order 10s because even if they are a little big it is not usually enough to be a problem. So I ordered a 10, the problems is they were too small. The foot is extremely narrow and I could only wear them with very thin socks, which was disappointing because I had hoped to use them in the winter months by adding thick warm socks. I would also say that the arch on them is very low and again made the boot very uncomfortable. After desperately trying to make them work for over a year I am going to give them to a friend with smaller narrower feet than my own because while they are super cute I just cannot take the discomfort any longer.

I bought these a year ago and loved them right out of the box but they are very hard to take off, snug at the balls of my feet and quite frankly REALLY uncomfortable. I go to school in New Orleans now so I need well made rain boots to wear for long periods of time and these are NOT it. After walking on campus for more than 5-10 minutes my feet are throbbing and I've had blisters on my feet a few times. I'm from Los Angeles and these are okay for the weather there because it rarely rains but in New Orleans when it rains it pours and these boots can't handle this weather.

Loved the look of this boot and purchased a pair about two years ago. The boot was moss green and had an orange zipper. To my disappointment, the boot itself cracked open on the inseam on both feet. I think the rubber is prone to drying out and then cracking. I have narrow feet, so there was no undue pressure put on the boot. I still wear them, as I love them, but I can't wear them in the rain because the rain seeps in through the cracks, which at this point has gotten pretty long and gapping. Probably time to toss them or return them to the Steve Madden people in hopes that they can rectify a pretty "deal breaker" issue. Expensive rain boots shouldn't split open after less than a year.
