This sandal has a real sole and the strap near the ankle holds your foot in place very well. The good leather upper and inner sole feel great and no blisters.

I was so disappointed that these shoes did not fit me and they don't have anything smaller than a Euro 35 (4-4.5). They were about half a size bigger so I recommend ordering a size down. They were so comfortable and soft and did not feel like I was wearing shoes. It did not look "gladiator" like. It could be worn casually or slightly dressed up.

Thrilled with the Gladiator II. Purchased the Grove Gladiator last summer and wore constantly. You can run in these cute sandals, very comfortable. Worth the money.

Fabulous gladiator. This shoe is crazy comfortable, with a lot of cushioning. The style is sleek, and I can even wear it with skirts and dresses. This one will get a lot of wear this summer.

I bought these sandals for a trip to Peru where I knew there would be doing lots of hiking and city walking in warm weather. They were completely comfortable from the moment I put them on (no breaking in) and looked great with shorts, khakis or jeans, and skirts. Perfect shoe - stylish, comfortable, and durable.

I have last years Gladiator Sandal in black, and decided I really wanted a skin toned version. I love these sandals because they go with everything I have for summer and they are the MOST comfortable sandal. I wore them on vacation and loved every minute. Getting them on and off isn't quick because they each have 2 buckles. Other than that I love these sandals!

These shoes are very comfortable as well as cool. Looking forward to wearing them in Italy where I will be doing lots of walking!

I love this shoe. I bought it in the neutral color and in black. I walked around all night - right out of the box, no blisters. I have the older lower version in 3 colors, this one fits better in the ankle but is still a little large there, may need another hole in the straps but OK for now. It takes a tiny bit more effort to actually buckle them vs the velcro on the older design, but the updated look makes it worth the trouble. It seems more modern than the regular groove gladiator. All in all I'm very pleased. More colors would be great! I'd love this in a lighter color like the off white of the old version. I recently moved to a town where you walk everywhere, a lot on cobblestones, and these ECCO shoes are all I've been wearing!

The sand color is gorgeous and this sandal feels like heaven on your feet. However, the black tread sole gives it a performance sandal look, but it is much too delicate for any rugged walking. The straps are thin, and the foot bed is a shiny metallic substance that I could see easily getting scraped in front of the toes. If I had all the money in the world to spend on shoes, I would definitely keep this one, but I am too hard on shoes to keep something so delicate.

The sandals are excellent traveling shoes. They are very comfortable and provide good support. They are perfect to wear all day, trekking, shopping out to dinner. The only issue I have with them is that they are somewhat awkward to buckle.

They are very cute and feel terrific. One note though - they run about a size larger than marked. I went down a size and had a perfect fit.

The toe was very long and the shiny slick footbed is not a good idea. They would be a comfortable shoe but definitely run large. What happened to 1/2 sizes people?

I normally wear a 9.5 and ordered a size 40. The shoes were significantly too small. Additionally the middle strap (which is not adjustable) was very tight on my foot. Maybe it would have been fine on the next size up but the tightness made me very nervous. I had planned on wearing these on a trip to Europe this fall and had high hopes they would work for me. Unfortunately, I think I'd regret keeping them, so they went back. I'm going to try the older style Groove and hope for a better fit.
