Sigh...I love J-41s. I can't begin to express how hard it is for a middle school teacher to find a pair of shoes that don't hurt after 8 hours of standing and walking all over a building. We aren't allowed to wear sneakers, but heels are just too much for me. I previously bought a pair of the "Dune" design in brown, and they are still going strong two years later. I was so glad to get my hands on a non-leather pair of black "Dash". The last two weeks of school will be a piece of cake! Oh, and thanks, Zappos VIP club for the overnight shipping! I ordered at 9pm last night, and the box was on my porch when I came home today at 5pm!

Shoes very sturdy and cute, but run small. Will order the next size up.

True to size, wore them all day on the first day with no problem, I walk a lot. Am going to buy a second pair in another colour.

If you were to only have one pair of shoes, these would be it. They are tough enough to hike in, but cute enough to wear with a dress. They are comfortable, supportive and durable. The insole is comfortable, but does not breathe. Fortunately, it's replaceable, so I just put my own in. The back part rubbed my heel for a bit, but that quit in just a day or two. It has velcro fasteners which are not my favorite, as they catch on clothing and can eventually lose their stickiness. But they do ensure a good fit. Overall, they are wonderful shoes and I would buy them again.

I love this shoe! It is the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned! Every time I wear them someone either comments on how cute they are or asks where I got them!

First of all, 6 stars to Zappos for the Customer Service! These shoes are made for dancing. Seriously, it gave me such a feeling of comfort that I started to jump around! I'm a size 9 medium width and they fit perfectly. I compared them with Jambu Dune and I'm keeping the J-41. J-41 felt softer on the skin than Jambu Dune. Plus, one of the Jambu Dune's flared out on the side and didn't look good. I'm returning Jambu Dune and keeping J-41!

I love your shoes but they are too big Why is there no good shoe for a person who can't wear a 6 medium. Even children's sizes don't fit a 5 1/2 or 6 narrow, so what are we supposed to do? Wear house slippers out in public? I want a good shoe with foam footbed and good overall support. Love, love, love, your shoes!

Very comfortable shoes for my hard to fit feet. After years of wearing narrow dress shoes, I have a difficult time finding anything to fit my my painful bunion. I've just ordered my second pair after 2 1/2 years of frequent wear. I wore these everywhere, including when shouldn't have - i.e. painting. They were not only splattered in paint, but two straps broke, which Gorilla glue fixed until I was able to.

Beautifully made shoe. I have wide feed and other J-41s have run wide and fit to a T. This shoe was too narrow (4 rating for comfort), otherwise it would be perfect. Unlike Keen, it has great support!

Great shoe but too short in toebox, will try a half size larger if available.

Comfortable shoe. I had to reorder as my normal size was a bit short. I have worn it walking long distances and it had very good support.

I have several pairs of J-41's and all fit very well. I ordered these in the same 9.5 I have always worn and they were too short and way too wide. The toe box was so wide they looked frumpy and lost the girly appeal. I have returned them.

Got these as a style and color alternative to the J 41 Galaxy which I love. These were not anywhere near as comfortable and I can't figure out why. Toe box rubbed, even when I went up a size. They look so similar to Galaxy, I don't know why they fit so differently. Had to return them; they just were not comfortable.

Great look. Insole is nothing, terrible piece of thin foam the pics make it look like there is really an arch. Disappointed should return it.

I had been trying to find the Dune shoe in my size so finally ordered this and am going to have to return it - it is too small and also the color, although it says black earth it is actually a dark brown.

They are faux leather and don't compare to the Jambu that thet are designed to mirror.

While I love the look and concept of this shoe, it pains me to say that it isn't nearly as comfortable as I'd hoped it would be. The toe box is very shallow and the straps that go across the top of my foot have a tendency to dig in and ultimately hurt. I'm hoping that once I get a chance to wear them around with socks they will stretch out enough to be the comfy shoes I want for walking in any terrain.

I like the rugged look of the shoe, but it isn't as flattering on as I hoped.

I bought these shoes and am returning them. They run small and the toe box is tight and rigid, to the point that I can see it hurting after a long day. I was especially surprised by the amount my foot started sweating after I had worn them for just a few minutes! I was indoors! But the big reason I am returning them is because the piece I received was damaged inside. I thought to myself, if they can be so weak to the wear when they're new, who knows how they'll fall apart later! I was also disappointed in the overall look. The positive about the shoe is that they are incredibly light and the insoles are very soft. But, the outside leather didn't look great to me, and the straps are thin, but precariously so. Bye shoes.

I really loved the look of these shoes. They are very comfortable, but they only lasted one month! The strap that supports the ankle strap ripped pretty soon and there was nothing I could do to fix it acceptably.

I have a couple pairs of your shoes and I have to say that they are just what my feet need! I had a serious skiing accident in which I had over 200 stitches and it left my one foot not too pretty! Your shoes let me wear a sandal without showing anyone my scars! Thanks so much! You are a lifesaver! I am forever grateful!

I purchased this shoe in red a few years ago. I get compliments every single time I wear them. Moreover, I love them so much I've even had a cobbler repair them after a particularly active vacation of trekking too much! I could not bear to part with them. I am now getting them in black.

This shoe is comfortable and can be dressed up or down in a travel situation if you need to wear it with a dress or skirt. I bought this shoe to travel to London. It seems like it will work very well.

These are my first J-41 shoes. They are cute and comfortable. However, contrary to other reviewers, I found this shoe ran a half size smaller and it's a good thing I ordered a 7 and a 7-1/2. I normally wear a 7 with no socks but the 7 was too short and my toes hit the tips of the shoes. The heel strap on the 7 also hit low on my heel and the cross strap pressed into my heel. The 7-1/2 was a little loose but I've found them to be very comfortable. Zappos service was great. Took 5 tries to find shoes that fit and didn't hurt.

Wonderful styling and construction. Great fit across the board even for a broader toe and narrow heel. Felt great until I noticed that where I pronate there was not enough support and the shoe cut into that part of my foot. Too bad. It also is a rather "warm" shoe even though it looks well ventilated.
