As a guy who swims for fitness but not competitively, I wasn't looking for a skin suit or tiny speedo. On the other hand, I didn't want to drag a pair of baggy board shorts through the water for a mile or more. These are a happy medium and I'm surprised there aren't more similar styles on the market. I was swimming in a pair of Adidas running shorts (with liner) but after years they needed to be replaced. I probably wouldn't wear these to the beach. but they live in my gym bag and serve great at the pool.

These are nice shorts. I have a 32" waist but the small (30-32) is a bit tight for me. I should have gotten a size larger. Be warned: they do not have pockets. This is good for swim trunks as you do not want open pockets dragging through the water. They are nice looking. If the Speedo company is reading this, please stop putting a clothing tag inside the shorts, right in the small of the back. It is uncomfortable, and very difficult to remove without ruining the shorts.

This has become my favorite swim suit. It is well made with a substantial draw string that resists knotting. The length is perfect for lap swimming or just relaxing in the pool. There are no side pockets, just a small key pocket tucked inside.
