Sadly, I must return this shoe. It's as cute as I thought it would be, but runs large as other reviewers said. I hoped that would mean that there would be room for an orthotic which would fix the "no support" problem also mentioned in other reviews. Even with an insert these wanted to fall off my (size 5) feet. Bye bye shoe. Never bye bye Zappos!

Love these grey mocs; already have a pair in light brown from 5 years ago. I am so mad that I have to return these because they're too big around the sides. The length is true to size but they are huge in the width. So sad. Why can't manufacturers keep quality consistent?

Liking the shoe, especially the tread, but felt mis-lead by the fit survey. I find these smaller and narrower than you would think and what others have reported. Initially ordered a 7 (bc of the fit survey), ended with a 7.5 but am feeling like I might have been happiest with an 8.

Very cute (obviously) I really, really wish they would bring the Minnetonka moccasin style back that I was used to about 2-3 years ago. I just wore my last pair of basic brown ones until they fell apart on my feet, and I know these will not make it as long. But either way, I have 3 PAIRS. Lucky it is such a cute shoe. Minnetonka, please consider bringing the sturdier build back, the stitching was tighter. I would love to see that. You might get some black stains the first few times you wear them from the dye, so if you are worried about that maybe wear some old socks. They really DO stretch out. Just get a half size smaller.

I ordered my usual size, 9.5. these felt closer to a 10, I was walking out of them. also, they were a bit more narrow in the toe box than a medium fit. Have reordered the 9.0 and hopefully that will work. Definitely order a half size down when ordering.

These shoes are real cute and all but I do have a hard time understanding why Minnetonka has such a good rep when they put zero arch support in their shoes. The bottoms are just a flat piece of leather. They look and feel especially bad in comparison to Tom's, a similar price point shoe which have wicked good arch support. These hurt my feet after a couple hours, and also the leather is a bit uncomfortable as your feet begin to sweat. I ordered them in my usual size and they're too big, would definitely recommend going half a size down. They look cute with jeans but I probably won't bother purchasing these again, as I can't wear them if I'm leaving the house for more than a couple hours.

These are very cute and seem to be well made. The grey color is true to the photograph. But, I am returning them because the 11 is too long for my true size 11m foot and because the rubber sole feels narrow. My foot doesn't feel flat and stable on the ground, which is strange for a flat shoe!

I only feel compelled to write this because I just got the shoes for my daughter who has narrow feet and, much to my surprise, these were really narrow in the toe box. The rest of the shoes flap and becomes wider only because they have zero arch support. I am trying to understand how some reviewers can view the same shoes and say that they run "wide" or "extremely wide" when my daughter's feet are almost A in width, and these just fit her, but since I intend to put in an arch support, I am not sure if these shoes will still work. Moreover, Zappos lists only one width, M, for these, so the other reviewers could not have gotten Wides. I am not criticizing here, just trying to understand the discrepancy. Other that that, Zappos has the best customer service in the world and I will definitely shop here again.

I bought the Minnetonka Thunderbird II. A great looking little moccasin, BUT I don't know how anyone wears these shoes given that the stitching BITES into the foot! I would love to have a pair of these, but the pain from the stitches is intense. Back they go.

Low rating due to quality control issues. I ordered size 8 which was recommended. These moccasins were more than 3/4 inch bigger than my foot. Mislabeled? Maybe. In addition, they did not appear to be a matched pair. The “tongue” was sort of rounded on one and more square on the other. Minnetonka needs better quality control! Wish I took a photo before I sent them back. Still looking for moccasins.

They look good and are made wellmade well. I wore Minnetonka for years until they starting using the sole with all the BUMPS - very uncomfortable. Sad. Wish they would return to flat soles.

Wore Minnetonka mocs in my youth, so this seemed like a No-Brainer for wearing around the cabin, taking kids to school, etc. Remember that suede can give, so wearing these with a thicker/winter sock to ward off the cold (like I did) really stretched them out. Possible that an insole with arch support could remedy that issue... I truly wanted to like them more!

I wanted to love these after all the good reviews. The toe was so narrow it squeezed my foot (I don't have wide feet) and then through the middle it was gapping out when I took a step. I ordered a half size down from my regular size, as many people suggested, and my toe was hitting the end but there was a slight gap at the heel. Just not a good fit at all.

These were about a half to a whole size in length, and the left one was longer. Both were too wide, one slipping off my foot. Sent them back.

This is my second pair of Minnetonka Thunderbird moccasin. The first pair lasted about 8 years and I just bought this pair as a replacement, unfortunately they were not nearly as comfortable. The stitching on the fold at the top of the shoe was off and the leather bunched making it very uncomfortable. This was only on one shoe, so just a defect. I am going to return and reorder, hopefully for a defect free pair.

These wear out and stretch out fast. They lasted about a month before they were shapeless and falling off when I walked. For this cheap I guess I should have expected it, and when they were good they were great so two stars for that.

There is no support & run big I wear a size 6 to 6.5 & had to send back & ordered a 5.5. They're so cute & also got them a purple/blue color & they are 5.5 & they fall off the heel of my feet so I will have to return. Not comfortable.

I ordered two pairs of these. I have very wide feet so I am used to having to stretch out shoes a bit, and it is usually uncomfortable, and these were no exception. They gave me blisters on the outside edge of my foot, near my to, until they stretched a bit. That wasn't really the problem, though. Both pairs, after just a few months of wear (I work in a small office, so not any strenuous wear), the stitching holding the soles on just pooped out and the bottoms came right off. What the heck?

Super cute, but stretches way out! I returned the first pair I had ordered because they seemed small and then ordered a 1/2 size up. Now I wish I had kept the first pair. They are so stretched out they don't stay on my feet!

Beware the Minnetonka Thunderbird 2 is not the original Thunderbird. It is cut like a ballet flat and no support. The sides are low and gap widely.

Painfully cute! These mocs are darling! I bought them in two colors because I couldn't decide which I liked better. With both pair I found the exact same problem. The knot on the outside of the right shoe rubs my instep. I own many pairs of mocs from Minnetonka and these are the only ones I have found this problem with. A larger size would only make them sloppier as I buy a size too large to accommodate my wider foot already. In both cases, I slipped a piece of electricians tape across the offending knot and...voila! Problem solved...but I don't pay this much for shoes I have to doctor to make them comfy.

Here is the real story...the Thunderbird runs quite narrow but true to size otherwise. Because it's so narrow it's really not comfy. Defeats the whole purpose of a moccasin right? The Minnetonka Kilty Suede Moc runs wide and big (I take a 9 and the 8 1/2 was big), I'm going to try an 8. Super comfy!

Very poor, sloppy, construction. If you are sensitive, Minnetonka is definitely not the shoe for you. Large knots from heavy threaded stitching are on the inside rubbing, rough heavy suede edges also rub on the inside. An interior fabric lining over the suede would help, as in another pair of mocassins from Walmart, none the less, were much more comfortable but no longer available. My left foot has always been larger than my right....this right foot was smaller than left, even when placing the shoes side by side it was evident. Do not order a full-size smaller as normally recommended for Minnetonka. Go only a 1/2 if at all. I did not return the shoes because I thought I could stretch them, do some sewing myself, but bad mistake on my part.

Extremely wide even though I got an M. No matter what size I got they were too wobbly. I returned them.
