I love them. I was afraid because I need wide shoes and these were not marked as wide. They fit, they are my favorite.

I wear size 8.5 D/E shoes, and the 8.5D fit great. They have a nice hard sole, perfect for riding your bike. I am very pleased with these shoes.

We bought 4 pair of shoes for this school year. All were as stated, all were delivered promptly. Zappos makes me feel like I'm 'family'. I love this site and will continue shopping here. These shoes are wonderful!

For cycling, the Chrome Kursks are perfect. They're great shoes for jumping on the bike and riding around town, and great for kicking back. They're not good for walking around, however. The hard sole is perfect for pedaling, lousy for walking. But they're not walking shoes, are they? No they are not. Love these shoes.

This is an excellent sneaker. The materials and make are great. The feel is a little stiff (because is designed to push bike pedals) but after a while, it breaks-in and feels OK. This shoe, like some other brands that I have owned (Blundstone comes to mind) suffers from the feels one size bigger syndrome). I found out in this case that in due to the hefty thick insoles that push your toes against the top of the toe cap. So, lets say that you are a size 10. The length of the shoe is actually correct, but you feel that you need half of one size bigger. You go to 11 and you feel fine, but the shoes look too big on you. If you replace the soles with some after market ones, then the size 10 feels fine.

These shoes look great and are a lot more comfortable than a Chuck or a Flyer.

The Chrome Kursk, is, first and foremost, a skate/bike shoe. It is tougher than your casual Chuck Taylor, offering more support for those types of activities. As a bike rider, I find the stiffness and rugged construction refreshingly tough. My feet usually pay the price for wanting to ride in comfortable (flimsy) shoes. These are just the shoes I have been looking for. They are great!

I got these for my adult son for his birthday and he loves them. When he rides his bike, the front of his feet stays dry in the Portland weather.

Awesome looking shoes, winning me raves everywhere I go. Stain resistant fabric is a plus, as I like to freedom to off road without destroying my kicks. Only downside is that these are not the most comfy shoes I've ever owned. They slide a lot in the heel, and they're surprisingly stiff.

Excellent shoe but expensive. The outside canvas is very tough but that means it'll wear like iron. The first day in the shoe is a little rough but it feels good after it breaks in (2-3 wears). I use it when I bike to work (10 miles) and it beats the heck out of my Nike running shoe. I've received lots of compliments on the style of the shoe as well (and they're red).

I sent a pair of these Chromes to my great-niece after she admired mine. Two generations separate us but we are both considered cool for wearing these by our peer groups!

I just got these in brown. I love them! I just put one red and one olive pair in my cart.
If you are considering, do it! They are fantastic. More comfy than Chuck Taylors, which I usually wear.

Amazing shoes. I have received a ton of compliments on these shoes. My only issue is that they run a little big, so you might want to go a half size smaller that normal.

Great shoes for commuting. Width is just slightly too great to fit quill-type road pedals but just fine for platform/MTB/touring pedals. Sole is stiff enough, but still very comfortable for walking all day long. Metal shoe laces tips click on metal toe clips.

My teenage son loves these: I order 3 pairs a year, he wears them every single day, and has pronounced them the "most comfortable shoe, ever". Lightweight, and with that delectable red rubber sole, I too like their look. But they were designed for bike messengers, not hulking heavy-footed teenagers who walk in them 24/7, so they don't seem particularly durable. Still: as long as he likes them, I'll keep buying them.

These shoes are not as uncomfortable as others are making it seem. I was very hesitant to purchase them after reading some of the reviews. They aren't any less comfortable than Chuck Taylors, Vans or PF Flyers. So glad I got them.

Very high quality well-made shoe. These feel like heavy-duty Chuck Taylors, but much more stylish. They are a riding shoe, so they compromise a little as a walking-around shoe. The heel fit feels a little loose (like many bike shoes) and the shoe is super stiff. They are uncomfortable until you break them in (which takes a while) and then they're still not the most comfortable shoes you own. But you will get lots of compliments on them because they're so damn cool.

I was first introduced to Chrome through a brilliant promotion they did a few years back, where if you sent them a pair of your old shoes, they sent you a pair of new Kursks. Those shoes were extremely durable/bombproof and set the tone for what I believed their reputation to be. Fast forward a few years and I was looking for some casual kicks and remembered Chrome. I saw they had expanded their line and also now had a non-SPD version of the Kursks, so I bought two pairs.
I have to say, I've been pretty disappointed with them, as they've obviously diluted what made the brand popular in the first place. These shoes basically fell apart in a few months, and one pair has become almost unwearable due to flexing at the ankle opening. I don't know if the SPD version is better made, but I'm not really interested to find out at this point. The Chuck Taylor II is probably a better option in this arena. Again, its too bad because I bought one of their messenger bags as well, and it was well made and continues to perform, but this iteration of shoes is all hat, no cattle.

I was looking for a shoe for when I ride my bike, I don't like the clips and cleats, I use the toe straps. The shoes have a stiff sole that makes pedaling more efficient, just what I wanted, but like others have said, this shoe is not comfortable for wearing all day and walking around. I'm still waiting to break them in more, maybe that will make them more comfortable. They are nice looking and they do the limited job of being a great shoe for bikeriding, I just wish that they were more comfortable.

These shoes hurt me feet like crazy. My feet are slightly wide, but usually fine in all other shoes. The metal ties on the end of the laces drive me crazy clanging on my sprocket while I am pedaling. I have tried to break them in, but lately I have noticed myself avoiding wearing them. My little toe is always asleep when I wear these shoes, so now I just wear my Vans when I ride my bike. I wish I would have bought Keen's Coronado Cruiser instead.

For now, I can't say that I've liked these shoes. It seemed like a good idea, and I can't find anybody else who is making a shoe that bridges the gap between clipples peddals and toe clips, but the execution is lacking for this product. As others have said, this shoe is quite uncomfortable to walk in, to the point that I'd worry about doing permanent damage to my feet and legs if I wore them for too long. On top of that, the fabric of the shoe itself is rather flexible, which allows your foot to move around a fair bit when riding, destroying any advantage you get from the rigid sole.
My disclaimer, however, is that my foot is rather low, so I might be able to get a better fit with some extra arch support and tounge padding. However, as this shoe will only really be useful for long rides and not for everyday life, I can't say that I'm jumping to get them working perfectly.

Stiff, hard, and slips off the heel because the material is so stiff - not the rubber bottom, the material part of shoe - it's like they've been starched.

Great shoe! Comfortable, durable and great support. The shoe is stiff as it is primarily designed to be a cycling shoe. Sizing is similar to Converse Chuck Ts.

I have been wearing these shoes for over a year now, and will definitely be buying a new pair when I need them. I bought a pair of Vans at the same time, which wore out after a few months due to bad quality. The van sole caved in after a few months. I commute to work everyday about ten miles round trip. The shoe gives extra support, to help transfer power to the peddle. Some people are complaining about the shoe being too stiff. If you ride a bike, this is what you want. I do not find the shoe to be uncomfortable when off the bike, quite the opposite. They are extremely comfortable, and have lasted longer than any other sneaker I have owned. I hope they continue with this quality.
