This is my 3rd one and I love it. For those that say it is hard to clean, it is not. I use a bottle brush and paper towel and it takes seconds. I use 1/3 cup of bean and coffee is perfect. How hard is that. From coffee country.

This is an awesome coffee pot if you are serious about coffee. You can choose how course you grind and cleaning the chute once a week is not a big deal at all. The thermos really keeps the coffee hot and it does not continue to cook it like in glass pots. I am about to buy my 3rd one...the last one was not even new when I bought it and it is on it's 4th year! Love, love, love this pot, worth every penny! So happy it is available on Zappos now!

The Grind and Brew is great. Really easy to use. Cleaning is not as much of a hassle as I thought or as was alluded to in reviews I read on other sites. The only thing I wish was better is the pot. Because it's thermal and insulated there's quite a thick wall at the opening, so it becomes difficult to pour once there is only 1 or 2 cups left in the pot. I literally will turn the pot completely upside down to get the last cup. Otherwise it's great and totally worth the investment.

Would stop when it wasn't finished. Thought it needed cleaning. But didn't help. Have to hit reset button atleast 5 times to get a pot of coffee. Thermal pot doesn't keep coffee hot, even when you charge the pot. Doesn't pour well and the lid is hard to put on. Don't recommend at all.

The grinder is worthless, it grinds too coarse. It hardly grinds the beans at all, so even when you use double the amount of coffee and set it up to brew strong, it comes out weak. You can't adjust the coarseness of the grind, so they recommend using a different grinder if you want fine coffee. What's the point of having a grinder built in then! What a total waste of good money. My old 20.00 pot did better. I should have known that I was in trouble when I saw that it had an instructional DVD. How hard should making coffee be? It's really is not that bad to figure out, but it can be frustrating. This thing needs more maintenance than a Ferrari! You'll spend more time cleaning it and clearing it out and fussing with it than you will making coffee. The Carafe doesn't keep the coffee hot, and it's a total pain to try to pour at all, let alone without spilling it. If you want a lesson on how to mess up a really good idea, than this is the perfect example. It's worthless. You'd be better off with a 20.00 machine and a 15.00 grinder. What a disappointment.

Not very good because the coffee grinds keep clogging up the hole that they come out from and it causes a chain reaction in the grinder area that is very hard to clean.
I'd also recommend:
Get the Cuisinart 12 Cup Thermal without the grinder. Much better...

We received this coffeepot as a wedding gift. Within six months, we stopped using the Burr grinding feature because the coffee chute continually clogged and it became difficult (and time consuming in the morning) to clear. It's a 'crap shoot' each morning as to whether the coffee will drip into the pot as it should or if it will be running down my counter tops and cabinets because the pot can't manage collecting the coffee in time. It has too many movable parts that continually malfunction. Cuisinart is generally a trusted brand, but this coffeemaker is flat out a bad product.

An unusable coffee grinder that cannot grind. Doesn't matter settings whole beans will show up in tunnel anyway. Has a diagonal chute and narrow tunnel instead of directly grinding in canister which gets clogged every single time. Doesn't keep coffee hot in carafe. By 2nd cup is lukewarm. Very odd, heavy and difficult to open lid not easy at all to pour last "cold" cup, heavy carafe is not easy to clean, hand doesn't fit in. Sharp edges are hurtful when trying to scrub inside. Have to use separate grinder. Not user friendly. Total disappointment. These designers, engineers don't test products? A carafe that can't keep temperature? Is minimum requirement for coffee for crying out loud! Not a heating base at least for the price? Very disappointed for a Cuisinart if that supposed to be reliable thing. Why try to reinvent the wheel instead of improving it? A total failure.

Don't buy it! Just stops working and then you have to hit it to start it again. I just bought the Kenmore Grind and Brew Elite, it comes with a five year replacement no questions asked. Time will tell on this one.

Excellent coffee maker, easy to use, makes great coffee. I previously had an older model that let the steam back up into the grinder, making it difficult to clean, but they have solved this problem. Also, the coffee stays hot for at least six hours in the carafe, which seems very reasonable.

This coffee maker has been less than good. The beans used have never made much difference. The coffee when fresh is cool and not flavorful (and rather bitter), I have wondered if perhaps I had a non functional heating element. I must clean the chute every other day, otherwise there is a clogged area leading to the brewing basket. My sister-in-law has the same coffee maker and only cleans the chute every 10 uses to my every other use and hers brews hot, delicious coffee with the same beans. By contrast, my Cuisinart food processor is over 31 years old and only has had a very few plastic replacements over the years. It is slightly older than my 2012 Olympian triathlete daughter, Sarah Groff. The reason I selected the coffee maker was because I had been so impressed with my food processor. Unfortunately, I have been bitterly disappointed with the coffee made by my machine.

Not impressed. Coffee never did grind fine enough or with any consistency of size of the chunks of coffee, like really large pieces and then down to really fine. Chunks 1/4 to 1/3 of the bean in size. No way to adjust the grinder for the course or fineness of the grind, just the amount of coffee. Wound up using our small coffee grinder and just scooping it in like before. Lid very difficult to unscrew. With my carpal tunnel, almost impossible to remove sometimes, have to use pliers. Now it doesn't finish brewing with a full pot, seems to time out after 17 minutes. Used to take about 12 minutes to brew a full pot. Cleaned it several times, no difference. Like the thermal carafe however, wish I would have bought a non grinder with thermal carafe only. Would not buy another one.
