The bag looks and is built great, but it's a little awkward to have on the shoulder if you don't want to always hand hold. The straps are the kind that slip and you can't really hang on to them especially comfortably since they are a short drop. It's a bit too soft and flat to stand on its own for the most part, so not necessarily something you want to set down anywhere if it's full, especially since the top is wide and mostly open. I think it's great for car travel, but a little risky for everyday or flying. It's definitely luggage-y - I think I'd bump into people on public transit since it's so long and sticks out.

This is one of the best bags I've purchased (and I seem to buy new ones regularly in search of the elusive 'perfect bag'!). Good construction and workmanship, large enough for laptop, iPad and everything else. I use everyday for business and school. Bought the matching clutch which is slip inside and makes a perfect duo for business travel. Love this bag!

I recently purchased this in the brown and I just love it! The leather is simply beautiful. It is soft but structured and the details are wonderful too. It looks like a much more expensive bag than it is. There are ample pockets inside and the main interior is spacious to hold whatever you need. While the top is just closed with a flap, it still feels very secure. I am relatively short, 5'3", and the bag does not overwhelm me as some larger bags do. I highly recommend this bag. I am very tempted to also get the black/brown.

Great bag! The longer I carry it the better shape it takes on! I have it in black and it's big, open at the top (no zipper) and holds everything.

I love-love this bag! I use it for work everyday. I also got the Vintage Clutch that I can just throw in during the week so I don't have to carry a purse as well. The Vintage Weekender is a perfect fit for my iPad, folders/files, sunglasses and so much more! Love the vintage look!

I just bought this bag in all brown, with black in the middle! Different that what I've seen on the internet. Love the rich look and plan on using it for business travel with my laptop. Hope it holds up as well as all the reviews above. Love the look!

The Fossil business tote I ordered for my daughter-in-law was as good as advertised although the size wasn't quite what she wanted. The exchange was made easily and quickly with timely notes to each of us keeping us abreast of the process. You've got an A+ from me and deep appreciation.

I'm not a high fashion kind of person, but lately I've decided it's time to purchase a few nice pieces. This is the most expensive accessory I've ever purchased, but it was worth every penny! I bought this bag because it looked classic but with a little something extra due to the vintage element. The quality of the leather is beautiful and I simply feel great carrying the bag. My only minor complaint is I wish the straps were just an inch or two longer because I'm having trouble keeping them over the shoulder of my wool coat this winter. Thanks to Zappos for making this bag available. I'd originally ordered it online somewhere else and was heartbroken when I received an email saying my order had been cancelled due to lack of stock. Every other site I checked was sold out of the colors I liked, but Zappos came to the rescue.

I am obsessed with this bag. I originally chose it because of the color combination - I love mixing my neutrals and was extremely pleased with both the shade and texture of the bag. It's big enough to fit my 13 inch MacBook, papers, wallet, and extra cardigan or pair of flats. I'm interning in D.C. this summer and know the Weekender will be perfect for life in the city. My only complaint is that the bag isn't as stiff as I expected it to be. When I have my laptop and papers in it, it tends to fall over so I do have to lean it against desks and things. Otherwise, this bag is perfect. I am in love.

This is such a beautiful bag! It looks great with whatever you wear. It is so versatile. The only negative is it is a bit narrow on the inside, so it is best to be used for papers or items that collapse easily. I tried sticking my work clothes after a changing into gym ones, and it was just too bulky for such use. Thankfully it was purchased to be a work bag so I am totally happy with it for its intended use.

Love this bag. It's big but not too big. Fits all my stuff (iPad, iPhone, medications, notebooks, etc). Leather is fantastic, structured and oh so classically stylish.

I absolutely love it! It is too big to be a regular purse. It is too small to be a real weekend luggage type bag. But, it is perfect as a very classy, everyday work briefcase/tote. It fits my shoes, newspaper, nook, lunch and travel mug perfectly. Everything looks neat and very sharp. I have the black/brown combination and it looks much more expensive than it is. The only drawback is that is is leather and has some weight to it, but not so much that you cannot carry it to and from work. Not too structured, not too floppy. Like I said - perfect.

This weekender bag smells so good. The leather is soft and pliable - just perfect. It can be used as a purse, but I have been using it as my shopping bag and have I received compliments on it! Strangers tell me how nice this bag looks. I love it! I had a mishap with an open canister of wipes and one of the wipes inside the bag was soaking into the leather for a 24 hour period. The watermark/stain was very visible on the outside and my stomach was sick thinking about how I must have ruined my bag. The good news is that the stain from the wipe dried up and there is no mark on this bag at all. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Love the color (russet brown with gold accents) and get compliments on the simplicity. Personally, I'm really enjoying the interior pockets. Although there is a tab on the side allowing the mouth of the bag to be expanded, I wish it was a touch bigger. I use this bag to tote around a 15 inch laptop and it's a bit of a tight fit, especially since I over-pack other necessities. It's really lovely and I'm so glad I got it.

I purchased the all black bag and it was gorgeous! Very well made, and looks like a quality bag but sadly I had to return it. I purchased it for a laptop bag for work. It certainly can hold a laptop, however it isn’t sturdy enough as a traditional laptop bag. I’m afraid in time it would wear inappropriately. If you’re looking for a weekend bag, a school bag, etc. this would be a perfect fit.

I love this bag! It fits everything I need during the day and looks great, and I can use it for long weekends. I've been using it for a few months now, and the longer I use it, the softer it feels and looks. And, the inside zip pocket fits a standard size iPad perfectly.

I purchased this item with matching wallet as a gift for an associate's wife. The video doesn't do it justice. The leather is soft & the bag is structured. It's perfect for everyday use & safely holds iPad, computer and many necessary day to day items. Awesome bag for the price. Highly recommended for any woman at any age.
