The tongue presses really hard into the top of my ankle, and the tongue was not sewn in well on the inside towards my toes. That was VERY uncomfortable and it should be totally smooth on the inside of the shoe for best comfort.

This pair of my newest sneaks feel smaller, the Hook and Loop are shorter than all my others which makes them kind of tight.
they seem to be all-around smaller. It seems like they have been cheapened. Very disappointed with Zappos.

The shoe is not big enough or wide enough. After the holidays, I will be returning both pair. Since both pair don't feel wide enough and I ordered your widest width, I'm not sure that I'll reorder. The 2nd toe on my left foot overlaps the big toe, and I have bunions and hammertoes on both feet. I am thinking of ordering size 8.5 WW. At this point I have no shoes I can wear outdoors; crucial since I live in MA!

The material is a hard plastic, support was good, however, the sizing was not true. I’m a 12N. The width was spot on, the length wasn’t. Big toes were rubbing, had to return.

Love New Balance. But these were not true to size. Too short. Had to send back and get the next size up. The second pair had serious problems with the seams on the inside of the shoe. The seams were rough and scratched my feet. The rest of the shoe was lined with soft padding, but not the seams. Sorry, back they went.

The tongue is very long. It hits my ankle and took some getting used to. The velcro straps are barely long enough to fit on the wide shoe. If the shoe is
wide, the straps should be longer! There's not a lot of cushioning in the sole. It's an OK shoe - very utilitarian.

I have another pair of the 577s bought previously which I love. This is why I purchased the new pair. I like to rotate shoes for my daily 3 mile walk. This new pair is giving me a bit of friction irritation which is coming on top of the toes from the tongue edge. The older pair does not do this. Because I rotate among 3 pairs of NB (3rd is different model), I can cope. Hoping it corrects?
Friction irritation is reason for the 3 stars. Otherwise rest is OK.

While wearing the walking shoes in the house for about 2 hours the left shoe started to squeak every time I stepped with it. I am wearing on older pair of NB shoes that have been perfect but they cost about twice as much as my new noisy shoes.

Right shoe fit perfectly. Left shoe had a defect where the tongue was sewed onto the shoe. Felt lumpy and painful. Had to return them. Have problem wide feet and diabetes. Cannot risk wearing ill fitting shoes! Have not been able to locate comfortable shoes since Drew quit making the style I was wearing. and the cost keeps going up.

This model shoe was only rated average because if one has lower than average angle bones the sides of the shoe rub uncomfortably onthe sides. The particular side of the shoe is quite high between the tongue opening and the heel compared to other shoes and consequently you get constant rubbing. Otherwise it's a great shoe with fit and material.

Have a high arch. This shoe does not accomodate that. The velcro strips are extended out to cover the arch with very little left to cover the top of the foot. The left shoe tongue was not properly sewed down. Felt like a raw seam over the toe joint The right shoe was good. The shoe bed felt like walking on pebbles. no cushion. no room for cushion or arch supports

Love the fit of Drew shoes! Just getting too expensive to buy!
