I have a 15 year old daughter with right sided hemiplegia. She wears and AFO, and these are the only sneakers that accomodate her AFO. I can't find them anywhere other than Zappos. That's why I love this site!

Great walking shoe. It comes in narrow sizes which is exactly what I need. It stands up to heavy use and looks nice. I wear them with everything.

I love these shoes. I love New Balance shoes since I need excellent arch support New Balance delivers. I have another pair of New Balance shoes in a different style and color and I switch between these two pairs and I wear them to work weekly.

My wife had a angioplasty and a complication set in where she bled into her thigh muscle. Leg swelled up and she needed for her Rehab therapy a New Balance Sneaker with velcro fasteners. I tried everywhere I could contact here in NY City and found no one carrying her size or the Sneaker. Contacted Zappos which was like dealing with a Heavenly Angel and within a single day with free shipping the Sneakers arrived. The Sales Assistant even sent a bouquet of flowers with wishes for a speedy recovery. You have new and very loyal customer from here on in.

I ordered size 9.5 W New Balance WW577 Hook and Loop Sneaker in Beige because that was the only option that I could find in that color family for a price that I wanted to pay. Well, the shoe fits my foot, and it is not uncomfortable, but the Hook and Loop straps are not long enough to accommodate my orthotic for my left foot. I can just barely get it closed around the foot + UCBL, and then it bulges in an ugly way. I hope I can find another alternative color other than black or white in a leather sneaker for a reasonable price. If I didn't need to wear the orthotic I could keep these shoes because they are ok otherwise, but I need the support that the orthotic provides so it's not optional. I will return these shoes and hope that I can find something similar that comes in a lace-up version.

Left sneaker upper velcro defectively sewn, will not lie flat.

They fit but I couldn’t get the top tab to stay closed . So hiking or walking with them just won’t work

These felt a bit short, maybe not a half size, but enough to be uncomfortable. The straps are very stiff, so also a bit uncomfortable.

tongue came up too high and rubbed & cut ankle

The left shoe tongue and around the ankle were rubbed red with irritation. Over all is a great shoe. I'm disappointed because it's difficult to find narrow shoes.

The lights seem to be okay but the width did not feel like a medium. It was very tight

these shoes r huge . have to return otherwise they r very nice shoes. comfortable, but 6.5 felt like 7.5

FELT TIGHT FOR ME, TOO HIGH UP AROUND ANKLES. NOT WORKING FOR MY DIABETIC FEET.

I've had these shoes for 8 months now. First velcro closure shoes, but I had hip surgery and couldn't reach my foot to tie shoes. These were perfect, and I love the velcro. Other reviewers think the top velcro closure is too short, but mine closed perfectly, and i have a very high arch.

The Velcro straps did not go fully across the foot. That was the only negative

Ordered medium width, but received narrow.

Good shoe except for one loop will not stay hooked.
