I'm a custodian at a high school and I do a lot of walking during the day. Anywhere from 6 to 10 miles a day. Good walking shoes are very important to me. These shoes are awesome.

Fit was good but the shoe was stiff and not comfortable. Quality seemed good. Just not the right shoe for me.

Finally being able to get the right comfort and fit after so many attempts, is amazing. Thanks for having them in stock.

I ordered a pair of Velcro close walking shoes for my mom. Normally, she loves these shoes. Let me say before I continue that my mom is 97 years old. After 2 weeks, ( she had worn them twice) she told me they hurt her one foot. Inside the shoe, where the sole meets the upper portion was a rough spot. It was too late to return them, so I went to a repair shop and they just shook their head and said there was nothing they could do. So we have a brand new pair of NB shoes that she can't wear. It's a manufacturing defect so slight, but make the shoe unwearable. I'm sure it's a one in a million issue but buyer beware. Check the shoes inside and out!

The left shoe had a descent fit, but I couldn't get my right foot in the shoe. This is what happens when quality control fails.

Shoes don't seem true to size ordered extra wide and they fit like a regular width. Will not purchase again.

Walking is not fun in these shoes. They seem stiff and squeak when I walk. You never have size 6 wide in the black leather shoes so I tried the standard in width. They are definitely not comfortable. I also have a grey walking shoe that looks blue to me. They are very comfortable but the color is not appealing.

I've worn this style sneaker for over 20 years. It fits perfectly (7 1/2 wide) and is always comfortable -- and I walk a lot. While I usually buy them in a store, during Covid that was not possible, so I went online. And because the quality is always the same, I was able to buy them without having to try them on. The only problem was that I had to wait over two months for my size to be available -- due to chain supply, etc. It was worth the wait.

Whenever I find the tie version of this shoe in my size I purchase it because apparently they are not going to be made anymore. I am stockpiling them for future use.

Just purchased the 577 4x with Velcro. Well, they made it wide but didn't make the Velcro strap long enough. My old shoes have the perfect Length. Don't know how much money they save by skimping on the strap. New Balance has been My go to walking shoe for over 20 years so this is very very disappointing.

Lots of toe room. Easy to put on. I wish the Velcro straps were wider. I find the sides near the tongue are high and stiff but hopefully they will soften with use.
