The straps are so short that you cannot close the Velcro if you have Sox on. I returned them

The top hook & loop strap is too high up. The whole strap and connectors need to be lowered slightly as does the tongue.

I medically need a good walking shoe with velcro closing. I have bought NB shoes before from the store and been very satisfied. However, this pair I ordered on line were not up to the quality. The velcro on both shoes was cut short and actually buckled on the one side. I have returned the shoes, but it will take a long time for refund because of the virus pandemic. I am very unhappy with this experience!

I cut an inch off the tongue because it was so long that it dug into my legs. My legs hurt for 2 days after I wore them for a day. It's not worth buying any shoe that you have to alter so much to be comfortable.

This was not a comfortable shoe by any means, The shoe is extremely hard and there is absolutely no cushion. I went back to my old shoes for my walking and won't be using these unless I go buy soft insoles. Very disappointing.

I wore the sneakers once and my feet still hurt. I am planning to return them and will probably buy elsewhere.

I returned this and another pair on 5/1. I ended buying from the local store on Cranston at curbside but they would t accept returns

These are very uncomfortable sneakers. The sole is extremely hard and painful to stand or walk on for long periods. I'm 46 and in normal health and after wearing these all day at work, my feet and legs ached. The soles of my feet felt bruised and numb. I soaked in Epson salt bath and took ibuprofen to deal with the pain, it was that bad. The size fit, they were just terribly hard and uncomfortable. I've never had this bad of an experience with any shoe.

I returned these sneakers immediately. The "tongue"is very rigid and rubbed against my foot-a blister waiting to happen. I expected better construction from New Balance.

A terrible replacement for the 813!!!!!!!! The hook & loop are awful!

Brick hard, absolutely no give. I'm not sure they are even leather. Toe box is not roomy, either.

I returned this shoe because the fit wasn't comfortable on my feet. It was too stiff and both the tongue and heel came up too high and rubbed.

I returned the walking shoe. The tongue rubbed against my foot. I would of course not buy it again.

Returned one pair only to get the 2nd pair with the same defect. On the right shoe the tongue is sewn as to leaving over a 1/2 inch going down into the toe area making the shoe unwearable.

I used these shoes for neighborhood walks. 4 times a week. 3 miles. The soles lasted a few months before the heels wore off.

I have a pair of New Balance walking shoes that I purchased in the summer that fit well. The shoes I ordered were the same size, but hurt my feet because they were too narrow. I am VERY disappointed and returned them.

My foot doctor did recommend this shoe. I told him I have trouble with a shoe with a tongue. I was told to try the Velcro closing instead of the ties. I decided to try them and immediately my foot hurt with the tongue. I need a tongueless shoe. I wish you offered one

I found the tongue to be too wide and the straps to be too short... was very disappointed. I had high hopes for these shoes

The quality is awful. The tongue is mis-sewn and horribly lumpy. It feels like a 3 year old made these. This is absolutely NOT the quality that I remember from New Balance. I was going to use these as slippers around the house, because the velcro is an easy "on" "off," lol but these are unwearable and not even comfortable enough to wear walking from our bedroom to the kitchen. Returned.

Size was not consistent - tried it on at an outlet - fit perfectly - ordered that size - didn't fit at all.I returned them.
