The toe box was too shallow for my feet.

I was looking for shoes that I could work in at home that would have cushioning, since my feet are narrow and bony. I thought that walking shoes were the answer, but I found that these shoes, even with my Spenco inserts, felt hard. Perhaps they feel better when they are broken in, but I was afraid to take a chance. They did feel true to size and width, and the toe box was wide, which was great for the little toe I broke 4 months ago.

I've been wearing New balance for years. When I went to order my usual style Zappos was out of my style and width, so I ordered these. The fit perfectly, are Tru to size and I can stand and walk for hours without any problems.

These shoes are awesome! They feel like they were made from a mold of my foot. Perfect. I have bunions and need a wide shoe. Zappos has been great helping me get the right size without any hassle. I will order two more pairs.

I really want to love these shoes but they are too tight. I will try another NB shoe.

These shoes are actually foot shaped, so they felt good as soon as I put them on. I need an insert with a high arch, and they accommodate that nicely. I also have a wide foot, so I appreciate the range of sizes available. I like the way that they come up high at the top of the tongue, which keep them on securely, and the laces stay tied, which is not true for all shoes. I could do without the silver figure on the heel, so I deduct one star for style, but they have the plain black look that I needed.

I bought these to try out after wearing NB ww928 for over a year. In the 928's, I felt the support but they were very heavy and clumsy feeling. The first few times I tried on the 577's I was not impressed but I gave them a chance. They were lighter in weight and looked better, but not cute, for sure. So why did I give them 5 stars? Because they really are comfortable and VERY supportive, even though I could tell I should have gotten a half size larger. I switch between these and my Asics Gel Frequency's. Happy with both, next time I purchase these I will get half a size up.-

I normally wear 7-7.5 in running/walking shoes depending on the company. This particular show runs large, so I ended up with a 6.5. Other than that, I use this shoe for nursing and it keeps my feet comfortable for 12 hour days. Definitely recommend.

I wanted a replacement sneaker for a pair I had worn for over 15 years and these looked exactly like them. I'm not sure if it's been a long time since I broke in a new pair of sneakers or the shoes are stiff. I put some newspaper in the toes and rubbed some Vaseline on the outside and it helped soften the leather.

This is the second pair of WW577's I've purchased from Zappo's. I have flat, narrow feet, and up until I found these, I have had a lot of trouble finding a comfortable pair of walking shoes. These are great! The arch support is enough that is does indeed support my foot, but no overly so. Other shoes I have tried have too much arch support which is just as painful as not enough. They are a little bit clunky, but the comfort level makes up for that!

I got these for my wife who has an arthritis big toe. Needed something with room in the front of the foot area. These are great. I have put these in my favorites to remember.

STYLISH: The narrowing in the width of the sole just under arch area makes your foot look much smarter- not just a big flat plank like many other tennis shoes. FIT: Great Shoe for those of us who have more of a straight across set of toes- where pointy shoes squeeze & hurt. Toes can get bent a little in the wrong fitting shoes and eventually become what is called Hammer Toe (bent toe) & the wrong shoes hurt. These NB 577 tennis shoes have more room in the toe box so they are extremely comfortable. I wear them most days and also to the gym. They have removeable inners for orthotics. I always keep a pristine pair for Yacht Club and other fancier sporting activities. They wash up well too. I've found you can put white polish on the entire shoe if they are clean but not as white anymore- including the edges of the soles- to make them look new again! I throw the laces into a mesh bag with whites in the wash to make them look new too. I love these 577s - hope they never stop making them!

Excellent fit and plain style that goes well with everything! NB always fits perfect and feels great! True to size. No funky colors. I love the extra leather on the toe box - actually makes my feet look smaller.

These are a bit oddly shaped, unlike the last order of New Balance WW411 but they are true to size, supportive and will do for around the house...
