Comfortable sneakers. I walk a lot and I don't like white soles. Not that expensive either. New Balance are good shoes.

Good shoes. As others state, they do run off size a little. If you buy a 1/2 size higher, you should be fine.

Nice shoe, replacing a MT812. A little snugger, but that may be because it's new. Unlike the 812, the sole on this shoe is not slippery on wet surfaces - it grips about like you'd want. The laces mount a little high, so I don't use either of the top two eyelets - just the cord eyelets. I was disappointed that the shoe was made in China - I was under the impression that New Balance shoes were made in the USA.

I love that New Balance has moved these to Made in the USA! But since the move, the last 3 pairs of NB shoes I have ordered have been at least a full size shorter that every prior pair of NB shoes I have purchased in the past 15 years. Add to that, the shoes are much wider even in the medium width. An additional note, the "red" on these is not red but more of a deep orange, very difficult to match. This time I ordered my traditional size and full size up, traditional size is going back tomorrow.

Based on how tight my last pair of New Balance were, I decided to buy a 1/2 size larger this time. (I wear between an 8 and an 8-1/2, and I chose an 8 last time.) Based on others' reviews of this shoe, I decided to go with a 1/2 size larger than I planned - so I went for a 9. I also planned to get the wide width, but based on reviews I went with extra wide. The shoes are slightly too big for me, but I'm glad I went with a larger size and width. I think they'd be tight if I hadn't. Other than that, I'd have to say they're a fine pair of shoes. I'm not blown away, but they'll do. I only use these shoes for walking and bumming around the house (not running or anything).

Great shoe for the trail but not for running. Has a very good grip.

This is my first pair of trail shoes, so I can't compare them with other trail specific shoes. Lateral support is very good. Traction is also very good. They are very lightweight. The bottom will not prevent you from feeling small stones you step on, but it's strong enough for a shoe this light. Cushioning is moderate. For the price these seem like decent trail shoes.

It's no joke. I order a 1/2 size up from your regular NB shoe size. I didn't (ordered my usual 11.5 4E) and they were, as several people have stated, too small. The size 12 4E feels better, although it's not quite as wide as a typical NB 4E. Nice looking shoe, and worth the money.

Typical excellent NB shoe, but as another reviewer stated, take a half size up as the construction makes the length a little tight.

Shoes fit great and are comfortable, service was incredible! I ordered the shoes online at 11 am and they were delivered from Kentucky to my home in Wisconsin the next morning!

I didn't listen, please don't be me. They run at least a half size too small. If someone says they don't, maybe they are just over the next size down. Owned over 25 pairs of NB trail shoes - this is the first pair that ran small.

The fit and style of the upper are excellent! However, the sole feels lumpy. I added gel inserts to no avail. They don't hurt, but feel weird and uncomfortable

Shoes look nice, but they fit differently than other New Balance shoes and are not as comfortable. Perhaps ordering them in a half size larger than usual as others have suggested would improve their comfort.

These shoes do run small as others are saying. I wear a 10.5 wide shoe and ordered my usual for New Balance, an 11 4E. They sort of fit and had good room at the very tip in front, but due to styling it was crowding my smaller toes. I was hesitant to go up to an 11.5 4E. I did however, end up exchanging for the 11.5 4E and it fits somewhat better. The fit is OK, but not great. I would still prefer more width up front. This 11.5 4E fits me like a NB 11 2E. I will avoid this RL-3 last in the future. I get a much better fit on the SL-1 last in a 4E.

Felt great except my toes hit the end of the shoe. Not crammed but touched. Order a half size larger. Ordered a 4e and felt a bit narrow compared to other NB 4E's.

I have been running in New Balance shoes for over a decade as they have typically had the most accurate sizing available for my foot type. Beware: These shoes are made with the RL-3 last and will feel 1 full size smaller in length and width than a SL-2 last (if you have wide feet). I would recommend going 1 full size up in length and width if you have really wide feet. If you have narrow feet, no size change should be necessary, however, if you normally wear a D width, go 1 half size up.

I've wore New Balance shoes for the last 8 years. This shoe wore out in the first 3 weeks of use. Its actually very uncomfortable to wear, so I will be ordering a new pair of some other companies shoes.

Been a New Balance customer for 20 years due to the great fit. Unfortunately, they seem to have changed. I have a great pair of 708s (6 eyelet) for trails and comfortable 644s (6 eyelets) for walking. However, the 573 was a full size short and only has 4 eyes for the laces so I don't get the cross support needed to prevent slippage on long downhills (toenail loss). After 20 pairs of New Balance, I am headed down to the trail running store to see whose brand now fits my feet. Love Zappos, used to love New Balance. Too bad.

I ordered these in a wide width. They still were too narrow. I compared them to another pair of NB I have and the size difference is noticeable.

The shoe itself looks very nice and seems to have a well thought out sole offering good traction and flex. However, I ordered this shoe in a size 10 to replace a size 9.5 that fit too snug. Imagine my surprise when I tried to put my foot into the shoe only to find that the New Balance size 10 was even smaller than the New Balance size 9.5. I am actually a 9.5 D and I currently own several shoes from varying makers all in 9.5 D that fit fine. I don't know what New Balance is thinking, but they need have no doubt that I'll ever bother with their brand again. I'm going back to Nike and Addidas and never looking back. It is a shame, because the shoe actually looks like it is well made. However, that is all moot if you can't get your foot in the shoe!

I've wore New Balance shoes for 8 years now. They feel great, last awhile, and are reasonably price. However this pair of shoes wore out within 2 weeks of wearing it. I've never had a new pair of shoes hurt so bad. I tried to email N.B. about this, but no you have to sign up for an account so you can receive their spam email. N.B.'s lack of support in the shoe and in their customer service has lost them a customer for life.
