These are the only shoes my son wants to wear - summer or snow. I really don't know what I'm going to do next year, since he's growing out of size 8. Stride Rite - Please make them in bigger sizes!

I bought these for my 18 month old son whose feet are growing rapidly. Really nice versatile style, especially for warmer months. They provide good support but give him enough wiggle room for comfort. He actually wants to keep them on his feet! Stride Rite strikes again!

My son has been wearing these shoes all summer and loves them! He is now almost 2 years old and runs well in them. They so are great because he generally has sweaty feet in sneakers but these sandals are built like sneakers but have air vents. I would definitely recommend these for your toddler.

Perfect summer sandals. My toddler son has the fattest, widest feet -- there are lots of cute summer shoes (Keds, Converse) he can't even wear. Am really pleased with these athletic boys sandals.

Easy On, Easy off and they come in XW sizes for cute, chunky Flintstone feet! My son's 2nd pair.

These are the best shoes for chubby feet!Easy to get on, and I feel they have good arch support. I can tell my 15 month old is comfortable in these more than his other shoes. I thought they would be too suffocating and, initially, I had been looking for more of a sandal, but these breath really nicely. They also have an insole that comes out so you can measure your child's foot.

Just received these today and I must say they are much cuter in person than online. I have been trying to find a sandal for the summer that my son will wear. I figured since these have a closed toe that it would be worth a shot. However, he still won't wear them. They also seem to be too big on him. Although, I am beginning to think that is because he is no longer an XW so I will wait for the W to become available and give them another try. Sadly, they will have to go back.

These are super cute, really sturdy shoes for boys. It's the perfect option in the summer when it's hot! No problems with sizing.

Great little shoe. The underneath part of the velcro straps seemed a little bulky, but overall great fit, breathable, supportive, yet flexible which I think is great for growing little feet.

These are so cute and comfortable for my 1½ year old son who has extra wide feet. I recommend them as either play sandals or a swim sandals, not both. Even though they are machine washable they got stinky. Next summer we will get him two separate pairs of sandals, one for swimming and one for keeping dry.

The toe of this shoe is very small and round and it looks like a girl's shoe. I would not order for a boy.

I took my son into our local Stride Rite store to have his feet sized, and he is a 5.5 XW. They didn't have a good selection in that size, so I turned to Zappos. Unfortunately, this style runs big, both in length and width. I returned them for a 5 W, and they fit much better. I ordered other Stride Rite shoes in the original 5.5 XW, and they fit great.

Very good shoes but they make my son's feet stink! Although most shoes worn without socks probably lead to stinky feet. Other than that, love the look and the fit. And unlike Crocs, my son, who is 2, does not trip in them.

Liked the shoes but ended up returning them because the strap had a nub that rubbed on the top of my little one's foot. That was uncomfortable and irritating. Really liked that they had a "Wide" option for chubby feet!

This shoe is good in theory. The Velcro won't stay stuck to itself and now is so full of it's own fuzz (because it won't stay stuck to itself) that it barely sticks at all! I'm a fan of stride rite, but I'm pretty disappointed in this shoe.

I got these in wide for my little guy. I had to return them for the extra wide. Not sure if his feet are super wide or if this shoe just runs a little narrow. I like them because they can be worn with our without socks (I live in the NW so we can get away with socks and sandals). They are very cute and versatile. Looks good with khakis, jeans, sweat pants, etc. They did get a bit muddy after some back yard play, but they cleaned up easily and look like new. They handle getting wet very well, dry quickly. My only complaint is under the velcro on the top strap the sides leave indents in his foot. I can't imagine that is very comfortable, but it didn't leave any permanent marks or rubbing and he doesn't seem to mind.

Love these shoes. They go with everything, made really well and my son loves them! They are the perfect summer sandal for my 2 year old. They can get wet, dry fast and they are easy to put on.

These sandals are very nice and sturdy. My son has had a pair the last 2 summers, however, this summer, he says they hurt his feet. I purchased the wide, but without socks, they are leaving marks on his feet...

I love the Stride Rite brand and even though a little on the pricier side, I love how well they are made and how bendy the soles are (in comparison with cheap shoes with really stiff soles where the kids end up walking like robots). I typically order wides in the Stride Rite brand for my son. Much to my surprise, the wide is actually pretty wide and the straps were way too long and looked kind of funny. My son seemed to love them though after trying them on with no socks. I almost exchanged them for a regular width but did not because when we wore long pants with these, they kind of looked too girly - like he was wearing Mary Janes. I absolutely love the Mary Jane style shoes - but on me, not my son. Alas, I had to find another pair of summer shoes for him.

I love the Stride Rite brand - pricey, but it's a quality shoe. My son wears the wide size in the regular tennis shoes, so I got wide in this one. Although the fit is good, the straps are too loose. With pants, you can see the tip of the shoe, a little skin and then a strap - kind of looks like a Mary Jane. I love the MJ style, but on me, not my son. We also tested it around in the house and he seemed to love the shoes and not want to take them off. But after taking them off a half hour later, there was a little red imprint on the top of his foot. Hmmm. Sending this back, debating whether to get the regular width or look for another shoe.

The shoes are cute but not quite wide enough at the mid-foot area for my son. He has very wide and tall feet. He still is able to wear them occasionally.

I really want to love these shoes, but I do not. I ordered these for my 16 month old son. The fit is good and they seem comfortable. My one gripe about these shoes is the strap length (across ankle). It is simply too long and extends way beyond the edge of the shoe. I ordered these in a wide. There is too much excess strap that makes the shoe look unattractive. All of my son's shoes are Stride Rite wide width, so I know I ordered the right size. The fit is good, it is just this dumb strap. Since my son has already worn them, I am keeping them. I read this comment on someone else's review before ordering. Once he tried them on, I noticed it, but thought I could live with it. However, compared to his other shoes like the SRT Harper, there is no comparison.

These are great shoes for my 15 month old runner! We live in South Georgia where it is flip-flop weather until Christmas, so these shoes were appropriate for allowing his foot to breathe, while being sturdy enough to stay on his feet. They do run pretty wide though. My son usually needs a wide, but when I ordered them, they were too wide. They were exchanged for the regular width, and were a success.
