Read many of the reviews and really hoped this would be the perfect pair of black "comfort" sandals, not too clunky for casual "going out" wear as well as walking. Was a little wary, though, when some people noted the scratchiness of the edges of the straps over the toes. Unfortunately, turns out they were right. Just wasn't comfortable. Also didn't like the ankle strap -- too high up for comfort. Really wanted to like these, because they look so nice. But I'm a firm believer of "comfort at first sight" -- if they don't feel good the first time I put them on, they never will. Had to return.

Love this shoe. I have a narrow heel and like room for my toes. This fits perfectly. I like the shock absorption. I measured my shoe and used the sizing chart. It really helped. I wear my normal size that I wear in athletic shoes. These have better arch support than most, but not as much as a Chaco sandal. I purchased these because I had a blister from my Chacos and wanted a sandal to alternate with it. I ordered it in black and then ordered another in "rust". The rust seems more like a brown to me. Very adjustable. I can wear these with socks or without with just adjusting the straps, not that they look good with socks.

Love the shoes. Instantly comfortable. Barely had to break them in at all. I've worn them on short hikes and for long periods of time and they are super comfortable. Walked through a river with them and they still look new. I can wear them with anything that isn't overly dressy. They are not nearly as clunky looking as I thought. I like how the tan color blends in with my feet/legs so they don't stand out with a sundress, and I'm still cute and comfortable all day.

The Teva Tirra Leather shoes are really comfortable. They don't need much, if any, break in time. I really like these and the nylon ones. The leather looks more dressy with jeans. I will definitely purchase more of the Teva Tirras. Tevas are the best walking and hiking sandals that I have had. I have a wide foot so the adjustability is really a plus. This rust color is a nice neutral brown - not too reddish.

I had the Teva Tirra in the black (canvas?) & was very pleased. I was looking for a neutral-tan colored Teva, & this fit the bill perfectly. Great color, great support (even for my 8D flat feet), no break in period -- just terrific.

I am a big fan of Tevas. They make excellent sandals. This is my second pair. These shoes are less sporty than other Tevas, so they are more versatile. The shoes are very comfortable, and have good arch support. My only issue with Tevas, is they tend to be wide and I have narrow feet.

These are very comfortable, I love them. I usually wear insoles in shoes to help with my arches, but these curve enough that I am totally comfortable and can wear these all day without pain. They are also great in water and they dry and still look good. Teva makes a great product, my last sandals from them lasted almost 10 years. These may not be good if you have a narrow foot, you can only tighten the straps so far, but if you have a regular or wide foot they work good.

I love this sandal. It is nearly impossible to find a sandal with arch support, so I'm glad I found this one. I was looking for something I could walk all day in, that had arch support, and that was sturdy enough to wear on the cobblestone streets in England. I think I found it! It doesn't rub anywhere, even though I have bunions, and feels supportive even though I have fallen arches. The only drawback is that the footbed has a design carved into it which makes it feel ridged and rough. I'm hoping that after wearing it a bit I will get used to the feel of it and not notice it.

Great fit. I needed to adjust to the higher strap cut. They seem to hold my foot extremely well. Would recommend. I was glad that this style didn't have an adjustable heel.

Have narrow foot and unable to tighten straps enough. Also had some discomfort on the ankle strap. Hit the ankle bone all wrong.

I have bunions and I also need a well-padded footbed. These shoes are comfortable for me. All the straps can be adjusted easily with Velcro. I like the way they look with capri pants and casual skirts. They run true to size.

I plan on using these on my vacation to maui. I have only worn them a few times in the house since it is winter here. They feel great and I think will work well for hiking and sightseeing all day. Happy feet are always my top priority having had surgeries on both feet. I think these will definitely make my feet happy!

Really nice looking sandal. Sized right and you can wear all day right out of the box no breaking in time needed.

Teva Tirra Leather: Yet another perfect pair. These shoes are wonderful on my heels and I have lower back pain and I don't know it with these on. Bought them well in advance of my trip to NYC where I walk till I drop! Highly recommended!

I have abnormally wide feet, so I looked and looked and looked for some decent sandals for a very long time. I finally had it down to between these sandals and one other pair, so I went to a store that sells this particular one here in town and tried them on and they were perfect. Then I promptly went home and ordered the color I actually wanted (that the local store didn't carry) from Zappos.com. I used them all last summer and they were great. Just like wearing sneakers, but they're sandals. I was told that they are a bit wider than normal because they are athletic sandals. I couldn't be happier. I'm hoping they last me at least 20 summers.

I have had this sandal for 8+ months and I love it. I have worn it on different terrains: sand, sand and water, piers, fishing boats, cement, gravel, rock jetty, grass and dirt roads and this sandal provides great traction. It has a strong and sturdy base, yet a gentle sole to keep my feet comfy. I can walk and run (short distances) without concern for my feet hurting. Fits and straps well to my feet.

These are excellent sandals and can be worn all day. They are great for doing a lot of walking, and shopping.

I absolutely loved these shoes. I used them for beach and land. They are easy to get on and off at the airport or getting in and out of the water. They looked nice with a sundress for dinner or church too. I thought they would be too sporty but they were fine. They made my trip so easy!

Love these sandals! Super comfortable and adjustable, with no break-in time. My foot is very thin (not narrow, just thin) and I wish they tightened up a bit more across the top of my foot but the ankle strap and overall security is great. The footbed is soft and non-sweaty, too, which is very nice. Could walk all day in these, and they look sharp in the leather.

Great shoe. Fits perfectly with 3 places for adjustment. Heavy enough sole to handle uneven surfaces. Style verges on being okay for a nice restaurant when traveling. I now have 2 pair.

This is my second pair and both were immediately comfortable. I have plantar fasciatis, but no problem with these. By the way, Zappos service and helpfulness are truly awesome.

Love these shoes. Perfect fit and comfortable the minute I put them on. Size is very true and just a slight bit wide which fits me perfectly.

My last pair of Teva's lasted 12 years (summer isn't long where I live). Finally replaced them and love these. There are three straps to fine-tune for aging or oddly bumpy feet are great, and the suede insole is very comfortable.

My Teva sandals arrived very promptly. I am slowly breaking them in. I have walked on city sidewalks for up to an hour and then felt like I needed a break. The straps rub a little. I think it is just a matter of breaking them in. I have gotten compliments from others on the sandals.

I love these shoes! I can wear them all day without any foot pain. I usually have sore heels by the end of the day but not with these. I have bought 3 pairs and am so happy with them. I plan to wear them forever. Thank you Teva.
