I wanted to love these boots and honestly I thought they were super cute and comfy. The quality was just not what I think a $400 pair of shoes should be. There was a split in both heels where the composite heel met the sole of the shoe. Seems to me like a factory defect. I'm sure they would have been fine but since they were so expensive and touted to be such high quality, I was expecting perfection and these just weren't worth the squeeze.

Almost, not quite. This looks so great: perfect height, great style. But why is it so very stiff? I think at the higher price point, the leather should reflect that. Even going up half a size to account for comfort all around and wearing socks, it was still too uncomfortable around the ankle area. It would have hurt to walk, I can tell. No side-zip too. It would have been worth the price if it had the same comfort of the Veronica boot, with this *perfect* Sabrina heel height. So close, so close.

I think I might be the only person that did not care for these boots. They were extremely stiff and I ordered half a size larger to accommodate for socks and I barely could get them on my feet with very thin socks on. Once on, they were very uncomfortable - not like the other Frye shoes that I have (although the others I have are wedge sandals and I give them five stars all the way). These are attractive boots, but for me, as far as comfort and practicality, they are being sent back.

Love the look and quality of these boots, but I could barely get my foot into them. Once I got them on, it felt like a stiff vice around my foot. I am a true size 8 which is what I ordered. I do not have a narrow foot, but have never had to order a wide either. When I took them out of the box, they actually looked smaller than an 8. The footbed and support seems like it would be good, but again, I could really walk much in them. Anyway, really nice looking and good quality, but runs small and narrow.

These shoes are cute to look at but a nightmare to wear. I ordered the black leather ones twice and both times received mismatched pairs; they said they were a size 10 but when positioned next to each other or sole to sole the first pair was mismatched in length and the second in width. I wasn't sure if it was just me being nitpicky but I asked other people and they also noticed. They were annoying to get on, the arch was uncomfortably placed, and the leather was so hard my feet hurt just from wearing them around the house. They were cute though, that was their only redeeming quality. I just couldn't justify keeping them or trying to find a pair that was matched and, as usual, returning them was a breeze.

This boot is gorgeous, but so narrow! It's the same size 7 as my walnut polished leather Sabrina 6G Lace Ups, but insanely narrow. I measured the width of the sole; there is a full 3/8 " difference in the width. It even looks like a AA narrow boot. My usual comfy Sabrinas are fantastic - this boot is a horror story for anyone with a normal width foot. Sadly, no suede for me. I'll have to select another pair of the polished Sabrinas and hope Frye hasn't changed the width in those.

Perfect in every category! Love! Beautifully crafted in the USA, comfortable right away, functional for work, stylish and sexy... Everything a girl who is fabulous at forty could ask for. Even if you think u can not afford these do not hesitate they are worth every penny. I disagree with the reviewer that says these are no different than docs, they are way different! Heel and narrow toe box give these a more feminine, sophisticated look that is still tough enough to work for this outdoor loving adventurer.
