Another great hat from OR!

This hat has been in the ocean, boundary waters, and everywhere in-between. Great shade very light, goes back to shape, can clean with dawn and water. You can also hook flys through the weave to carry them. The only change I would make is to make the chin strap storable or removable. Can sometimes get in the way.

This is a great hat for keeping the sun off your face, but if you spend time in the water, you'll find it breaks down fairly quick and eventually shows holes in the woven material. Highly recommended for a lightweight sun hat!

My wife and I sat in the hot sun for over 4 hours at the recent Baseball Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies in Cooperstown, New York. This hat kept the sun completely off of me and the construction allowed the slight breeze to penetrate keeping me much cooler than I even expected. I highly recommend this hat.

I love everything about this hat - the look, feel, fit, and how breathable it is. I was looking for a great alternative to my leather hat which just became too difficult to wear in the heat and this is perfect.

As long as Outdoor Research keeps making this hat, it's probably the only sun hat I'll ever buy in my life.

I am required to wear a hat for medical reasons. I have many hats. This is a great hat which provides shade for my face. The hat is also good looking and I enjoy wearing it. It is a dressy hat or a hiking hat. I purchased the light color. The one issue I am finding on my many of my hat purchases is that the company's name is in large print on the band. I could not pull off the band on this hat so I put a large turtle pin and a native american round pin on the band to cover the name. Other hat companies use a small metal tack embossed with the company name which I prefer (it is classier). I don't like people peering at my hat to find out the name of the company. It would be much more social and pleasant if a person had to ask. I have owned an OR black rain hat for about 20 years. It is a classy hat and the OR, stitched on the hat, is small and not intrusive.

I wear it on many occasions, especially have used this hat backpacking and while fishing and camping.

Wear it everyday Landscaping and at the plant Nursery. I do not need Sun glasses with this hat. It saves my face from the sun.

This is a great hat, great sun protection, great looking, light and comfortable. What else can I say.

For sunny days the Papyrus Brim hat is light weight, protective of rays, and quite comfortable. The cord is also helpful to hold the hat on if the wind picks up.

Fits great. Gives good sun protection and is very breathable. I wear it all the time I'm out and about. Whether it be the pool; hiking; biking or just out and about in the sun. Trying to guard against skin cancer and this works. Will be sporting it at the beach this summer as well as the campsite. Outdoor Research is my favorite brand of clothing in general. I have a LOT of OR clothes. Have had a lot of people comment and ask what OR (logo) is and I sell the product (should be getting free gear as an ambassador of the brand. LOL). You won't go wrong with OR. I've tried other wide brim hats but always get too hot. This hat is perfect.

great for gardening or paddling on the lake!

The mesh material lets air flow across the top of my head. The gray material under the brim is easy on my eyes. This is the best hat I have owned for both staying cool and keeping the sun of my head. You will want to be a little careful not to crush it.

I purchased a OR bucket hat for hikes but this one I use for work around the yard. Perfect for mowing and gardening. I also just took it to the beach for the first time too. Worked great.

I purchased this hat for the brim to help keep me from getting burned on long hikes. So far it's meeting expectations. It breathes well and helps protect me from the sun. Plan to give it a real test this summer but so far it's been great.

Great golf and water hat. When it's hot, get it soaked and the evaporative cooling cools the noggin.

Love this hat. Well ventilated, nice wide brim, slightly western vibe, strap to keep it on in the wind or while paddle boarding.

I bought this as a gift as he needed a good outdoor work hat. It reminded me of a modern, more polished straw hat but without the yacht-club/stuffy vibe. He loves it. Another fantastic OR product.
